Senate blocks transfer of Gitmo detainees

Meanwhile, federal judge says U.S. can hold detainees indefinitely

WASHINGTON - In a major rebuke to President Barack Obama, the Senate voted overwhelmingly on Wednesday to block the transfer of Guantanamo detainees to the United States and denied the administration the millions it sought to close the prison.

AND.....

Congress votes to allow guns in national parks

The approval is a bitter disappointment for gun-control advocates

WASHINGTON - In a stinging defeat for gun-control, the U.S. Congress has voted to allow people to carry loaded guns in national parks and wildlife refuges.

Is this the beginning of a 2010 rebellion? Let's hope so.

  2. Here is a simple solution to closing Gitma AND gun ownership rights. Release these terrorists...into the parks. And call hunting season open!

  3. Now we just need to get the entire country set aside as a National Park. Or Bill's idea is OK too.

A malady that explains, to our satisfaction, the utter, bloviating insanity that takes place on the floor of the U.S. Senate.

  14. The gun thing is about all republicans can hope to get from the next few decades.

Sure, take your guns to national parks. Meanwhile, liberals will be creating universal health care and getting gay marriage legalized in more states.

  15. If you think healthcare is expensive now, just wait and see how much it's going to cost you when it's free.

Yet another idiotic screed from someone with a low intellectual capacity, no real skills and nothing to contribute but shrill criticism and hysteria. Now go take your Midol and do a shot of testosterone. You appear to be a quart low on both.
