Goose and Gander?

.
Over the last 8 years, the leftist media and Hollyweird crowd have spoofed GWB as a dolt, a fool, and a stumbling perpetual "C" student. But it's all in fun, it's a freedom of speech issue, he deserves what he gets based on his life's history.

But what's good for the Goose, isn't good for the Gander. According to the NY Governor's Office anyway.

Saturday Night Live pushed the envelope last night with a drop-dead impression of Gov. Paterson that mocked his blindness and past drug use.

The skit features SNL castmember Fred Armisen as Paterson during a segment on "Weekend Update."

Like disgraced Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, Paterson must appoint someone to the senate seat being vacated by Sen. Hillary Clinton. Blagojevich was arrested last week for trying to sell the seat left open by President-elect Barack Obama.

Wah!

Here's the NY Post story, with a link to the video clip from SNL

  2. But Bill, is it OVER THE TOP?

    I hate the dual standard.

  3. yea, now that the dems are in power the comedy folk have to make fun of them or go out of business.

and if the dems protest, it will just cause more skits to be written

    win-win for me

  4. It's over the top and very low. You know liberals can't make up their collective mind when it comes to being negative.

    Australian Gun Law Update

    Here's a thought to warm some of your hearts . . ..

From: Ed Chenel, A police officer in Australia

Hi Yanks, I thought you all would like to see the now available data from
    Down Under.

It has now been one year (12 months) since gun owners in Australia were
forced by a new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed
by our own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500
    million dollars.

The first year results are now available:
    Australia-wide, homicides are up 6.2 percent;
    Australia-wide, assaults are up 9.6 percent;
    Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent);

In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300
percent as compared with the last one year period when private ownership of
    a firearm was legal.

(NB: the law-abiding citizens did turn in their personal firearms, the
criminal element did not and thus criminals in Australia still possess
    their guns.)

While data for the 25 years preceding the confiscation of privately owned
guns showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has
changed drastically upward in the past 12 months as criminals now are
assured their victims will be unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the
elderly, while the resident is at home.

Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has
decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in
'successfully ridding Australian society of guns.'

This story of well intentioned government intervention in the rights of
lawful individuals to own and possess firearms won't be seen in the
mainstream US media or on the American evening news. Senator Obama who
advocates a similar confiscation in the US will not be reporting any of
    this to you.

But, the Australian experience speaks for itself. Guns in the hands of
honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws affect
    only the law-abiding citizens.

Americans may want to take note before it's too late!

    RE: Your picture

    LOL!!

It's great to "know" someone who has a sense of humor.

  9. Well, if they can "still" make fun at Gov. Pallin, then why not NY's "unelected" governor? But i think it's a safe bet that after 1/20/09, the media will "get the message" and back-off the Demoncrats. Or else!

  10. Heidi,
it makes my mother and Mrs Schteveo mad, but I make more fun of my size and disability than anyone else ever could.

In life you could life or cry, laughing is just more fun.

  11. what the hell, wrong button alert

I meant to say...you could laugh or you could cry, but laughing is just more fun.

  12. They were not making fun of blind people-they were making fun of the governor, who happens to be blind!

  13. CFC -

...and by extension all blind people. Don't you know how this game works? If you make fun of a black person, you are insulting all black people. If you make fun of a person in a wheelchair, you are insulting all disabled people. If you make fun of a white guy, it's damn funny! Come on, keep up!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Sorry Heidi!

I'm from the midwest-ya'all know how slow we all are!

I try to keep up, but ya know its hard fer me!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hey, there's nothing wrong with being from the Midwest. That happens to be where I am too!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Did Patterson go blind because of his drug use?

    ReplyDelete
  17. ...so following the hypothesis, am I making fun of fat people, or Huts?

    Or both?

Ohhhhh, now I like...ummm get it, an' stuff...

Jack says that his sex education curriculum consisted of one sentence delivered by his high school football coach, "Boys, keep 'at thang pointed at tha ground even if ya have ta stand on ya head."

    ReplyDelete
  20. LOL! You left the door open for that one darlin!

Actually, the cause of his blindness is liberalism. And in his case, extreme liberalism!

  21. P.S. To prove my above statement, NY's unelected governor, (the blind guy) noting that the state of NY is broke, and desperately trying to get in on the big DC hand-out, has just announced that he will increase welfare payments by 30%!
