Boys, and girls and others, I'm gone to "Injun'aplis" and then back, whirlwind trip 'til Saturday sometime. That means cheap liquor in KY and White Castle hamburgers in WV, KY and IN!!! WOO HOO.
No women. just me and Tio Orso (my younger brother)going to get his 3 sons from his ex-(I won't use the EX-WHAT I usually use). So 5 guys, one Caddy, open highways coming back, no holds barred.
Screw my blood pressure and my MAJOR diet!! (I'm down 35 -40 lbs in 5 weeks)(I still haven't told you guys THAT medical horror story! as it's still running, gimme two more weeks)
I'm gonna start drinking on the TRAIN headed to HIS house!! We don't have to drive until tomorrow.
BTW, has anyone tried to book a reservation for their GUNS on AMTRAK since Jan 1st? It took me almost 40 minutes, and I 'trusted' the chick on the phone SO much, that I called back yesterday to confirm the res.
A. what a hassle.
B. If I've got to put my gun(s) in the luggage car, WHY does it need to be locked up so tight?
Is AMTRAK afraid THEIR employees will get armed and go on a rampage!? Uh, HELLO, fire THAT guy!
Ya'll be good! 'cause I'm not gonna, for five...WHOLE...days.
(I'm betting if I get away from these nerve 'wracking, sons-a-bitches around me NOW, for 5 days, my frikkin' BP is going to go down)
All that money should've been used to fund a study on how AIDS can be spread faster.
Hope you have a great trip bud. And why do you have to check your gun on a train? I don't travel by train so i don't know their procedures. Do they do the same metal-detector, pat-down type of deal as the airlines? And is your NC concealed carry good intertstate?
Had a fairly good time, except I got up yesterday, Fri, at 6:00 AM, we drove 17 hours, and I've had two 45 minute naps since then. 39 hours ago. Hi ya'll, I'm wiped!!!!
Spidereeno, there is a list of states that allow reciprocity on my CCH. ALL the ones I traversed are in the group. NC, VA, WV, KY, and IN.
AMTRAK is, at best, hit and miss on 'security'. Or at least, here in NC, with the two or three stations I use there seems to be no "standard". No pat down, no metal detectors.
My origination point, Raleigh is a 60 y/o train station, open on all 4 sides, you can walk across the tracks from downtown, and there is NO way for them to secure the station. Homeless people come and go from this place to get in from bad weather.
The other end, Greensboro, is 5 y/o, with locked doors, security cameras, locked baggage area, and agents who walk you to the platform. Very security conscious. And much like all the airports, you have to have a ticket to get to the platform.
I had to book a 'Firearm Reservation" for my daily running mate, Ol' Roger D. Ruger, the poor boy, had to be locked in a carrying case and the case had to be IN a checked bag. The agents were easy to work with, helpful and even though they don't do this often, it took a whopping 5 mins on either end to get the paperwork done and the bag checked in!

Of all the stupid, nonsensical, idiotoid CRAP!!!
And the BAD part is, THIS time we REALLY CAN blame George Bush!!!!!!!!!!!! Because HE signed the shit!!! We need line item veto powers!
Now we should apply for money for a continuing study. Is there a correlation between the size of the prick and the size of the asshole?
Unk',
Obama goes 6'1", Biden is just 6' even.
