Chinese millionaire Su builds skyscrapers in Beijing and is one of the people powering China's economy on its path to becoming the world's biggest.
He sits at the top of a country - economy booming, influence spreading, military swelling - expected to dominate the 21st century. Yet the property developer shares something surprising with many newly rich in China: He's looking forward to the day he can leave.
Su's reasons: He wants to protect his assets, he has to watch what he says in China, and he wants a second child, something against the law for many Chinese. His wife is already in the U.S. The millionaire spoke on condition that only his surname was used because of fears of government reprisals that could damage his business.
China's richest are increasingly investing abroad to get a foreign passport, to make international business easier but also to give them a way out of China.
The United States is the most popular destination for Chinese emigrants, with rich Chinese praising its education and health care systems. Last year, nearly 68,000 Chinese-born people became legal permanent residents of the U.S., 7 percent of the total and second only to those born in Mexico.
It is a bothersome trend for China's communist leaders who have pinned the legitimacy of one-party rule on delivering economic growth and a rising standard of living.
.OK, so what can we surmise from this? One of two things is afoot as Mr. Holmes would say!
.
.
A.) Chinese millionaires are really NOT very smart, and not good at looking at the best place to protect their assets, and raise their families.
B.) American MSM (and the left in general) is (are) dead ass wrong about how evil, rotten and screwed up we are as a nation!
.
.
Damned clever these Chinese, there Watson, wouldn't you say?! I gotta tell ya', I feel better about our chances right now.
.
The Chinese as a nation and as individuals take the LONG 'look' when they make 'prans'. It is NOT unusual for Chinese families to take "X" action as a large and combined group to ensure that ONE of their Grandsons MIGHT get "Y" opportunity. They do it so that the family comes out better in the end.
.
If Chinese millionaires are jumping to come here, they've either, done their homework, or they see our Communist / Dictatorial leaders as better for business than their ChiCom / Dictatorial leaders.
.
Rets arr hope dat dey'r prans wolk out!
(I'm gonna get e-mails for THAT racist crap, ain't I?) (Poots, no offense intended)

Completely OT
and a re-comment from days ago that (evidently) no one with kids / grand kids saw. Or maybe it's not as funny as I thought it was?

A friend of our makes really good home made 'candy' from Chex cereal. They taste really good, but they look 'peculiar'. So I have christened them CCT's. I can never remember what they are actually called and I'm not supposed to say what I actually call them in front of the grandsons.
As it's a holiday weekend, there was a cookout, lo' and behold, CCT's on the dessert table. I didn't attend because of yet another bout of vertigo, but I got in trouble by long distance grandkid!
I got it second hand that the conversation went something like this...holiday weekend bbq, everyone chased indoors due to thunder storms, 25 adults and about as many kids in the house, Grandma and the maker of CCTs standing right there...
Cue the long winded Knucklehead Brothers, my local grandsons!
.
.
Grandson 1, the younger one, 6 y/o...
"..uh oh, these are the candies pop likes, but doesn't like."
Grandson 2, his 13 y/o brother,
"...he does too like them...it's a joke when he says CCTs.".
GS1
"...no, he doesn't like them because they look funny, he just eats them to be nice!"
GS2
"he is not nice, he calls them that 'cause grandma yells at him when he calls them candied cat turds!"
(I'm just glad I was at home, head spinning, barfing in a bucket...it's really hard for even an angry wife to go after you when you are like that and it's NOT self induced!)
(luckily, I have the kids alone two nights this week...I'll dig the shallow graves before I see them again. OR I could wait, and make them dig their own shallow graves!) (...he thought, whilst atwirling his mustache like Snidely Whiplash!)

Wealthy Chinese are coming here for the same reasons wealthy Russians come here. This "nation of laws" is a place where people of great wealth can not only pretty-much do as they please, but with the right accountants, can keep all the money they make, while the "worker-ants" pick-up the tab. In other words, for people who have become strong by surviving in places like China and Russia, America is a piece of cake.
I see this everyday here in Brooklyn, NY, which has the largest population of Russian immigrants in the US. These are smart, tough, people who let nothing stand in their way. Not America's laws, nor America's rules, nor America's people. They have consumed great chunks of NYC, insofar as realestate and business's are concerned. And when it comes to taking advantage of every free govt. handout imaginable, they have even surpassed blacks.
And IMO, the Chinese are even smarter, albeit less obvious, than the Russians. I have no idea how much of NYC, (and the country) they actually own, but i'll bet it's a hell-of-a-lot more than you and i own.
Thanks to the elected, corrupt, lying crooks who rule us, America has become a wide-open international public toilet, and it's the hard-working, tax-paying Americans who are the toilet paper. And perhaps, as some say, that's only right since it's the American voters who have allowed this situation to happen.
