I once read a quote that said, "to conquer a nation without the use of military force, you must first control the minds of their young..."
It's a pretty interesting theory, assuming you had the time (several generations) it would take to accomplish it. It's surely easier and cheaper than putting many fully equipped armies in the field. Of course, your cause would need a large number of dedicated sympathizers (see: useful idiots) in your enemies country. But, IMO, if you had them in place, (as we do) over time, you could win, especially if your enemy is a case study in weakness...... BTW, the above quote was from, Karl Marx...
