Clinging to their Bibles

Friday night high school football in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia took a backseat to a battle of another sort in the bleachers and on the sidelines.

Rather than getting run over by the threats of ACLU this community let their voice be heard. What will the ACLU do, throw everyone in jail that wears a scripture t-shirt and offends one person?

Another story of We the People fighting back. "It’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion".

Why should we care?

.
I heard this story 3 times, before 9 AM this morning. And originally thought it was the norm to announce said events. But then, I went looking, and guess what, I couldn't find ONE article about ANY OTHER First Couple's first Anniversary in the WH.
And I went back to FDR.

Your Kids; Are They Really Yours?

Do parents have the right to raise their own children?

Here in Amerika, that would seem like a no-brainer, right? Not so fast. Now that we seem to be on a path to becoming a country with a totalitarian government that is taking total control over every single aspect of our lives, the answer to the above question is no longer clear.

In far too many school districts around the country, school "administrators" (see: indoctrination camp commandants) see themselves as law-making bodies answerable to no one. They make "rules" which they see as being above personal rights, above parental rights, and in many cases, above real laws and even the Constitution! This is exactly how the minor, irrelevant little govt. bureaucrats acted in Hitler's Germany.

The story in this article is not some big, earth-shattering headline that would get the country's attention. But it is an example, another example, of what's being done to our country, our liberty, and especially, to our children. Parents no longer have control (or any say) over what their kids are being taught or exposed to. Schools now routinely tell their students what they can, or can't do, even while those kids are not in school or on school property! It seems clear that radical Left-wing teachers unions have far-more to say as to what your children are taught, and how, than do parents. If this is where this country's going, (or being taken) then, IMO, it's time we started using all that ammo we've been buying.

If a parent doesn't have the right to raise their own child, then just what rights do they have? And do any other rights even matter...

Olympics decision stuns Chicago crowd
CHICAGO, Fri Oct 02, 11:59 AM

Thousands of people are standing in stunned silence in downtown Chicago after watching the International Olympic Committee choose someone else for the 2016 Summer Olympics.

The vote in Copenhagen was carried on huge television screens in the Daley Center, set up to carry what many had hoped would be approval of Chicago to host the games.
Instead, Chicago was bounced in the first round of voting Friday, bringing an audible gasp heard from the crowd.

The city was eliminated so quickly that some of the would-be revelers weren't sure what had happened. Some started asking if they had heard what they thought they heard. "I've never really had a disappointment like this," said Ken Rudd, a 33-year-old salesman from Evergreen Park. "This is one of the saddest things I've ever seen." Many stood for a few minutes, staring at the screen, and at least one flung his hands into the air in a crude gesture toward the TV screen. Within seconds, people began filing out of the plaza.

Chicago was in a race with Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo and Madrid for the 2016 games.

Nice try Barry!!

Yep, as the Dems go further to the left, this jackass thinks the thing to do is move to the center. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're on the right, and move toward the center, isn't that a LEFTWARD move?

A Settled Issue? Think Again

By now, we're all familiar with last year's SCOTUS decision in the Heller v DC gun case. It was a very close call (5/4) but it came down on the right side. Those of us who pay attention to such things knew the anti-gun Leftists wouldn't give up so easy, not after they've worked so hard for decades trying to disarm us. And we were right. Now their argument is that the Heller case only applied to DC and not to the states, and that the individual states have a right to ban guns if they so choose.

Those of us who are believers in the 2nd Amendment were worried about how that SCOTUS decision would come down, and were relieved when it was finally settled. Unfortunately, it wasn't really settled. In fact, this coming case will be "far more" important to all those who believe we have a right to keep and bear arms, and also to those who hate the very idea of law abiding citizens being able to defend themselves, their families, and their homes. Keep your fingers crossed...

Michigan again, the Moron's Paradise

.
Or as it's now known, the home of Michael Moore and Obama Motors. So much for the old, "It takes a village..." thinking I guess.
.
Each day before the school bus comes to pick up the neighborhood's children, Lisa Snyder did a favor for three of her fellow moms, welcoming their children into her home for about an hour before they left for school.

Regulators who oversee child care, however, don't see it as charity. Days after the start of the new school year, Snyder received a letter from the Michigan Department of Human Services warning her that if she continued, she'd be violating a law aimed at the operators of unlicensed day care centers.

"I was freaked out. I was blown away," she said. "I got on the phone immediately, called my husband, then I called all the girls" — that is, the mothers whose kids she watches — "every one of them."

Snyder's predicament has led to a debate in Michigan about whether a law that says no one may care for unrelated children in their home for more than four weeks each calendar year unless they are licensed day-care providers needs to be changed. It also has irked parents who say they depend on such friendly offers to help them balance work and family.

On Tuesday, agency Director Ismael Ahmed said good neighbors should be allowed to help each other ensure their children are safe. Gov. Jennifer Granholm instructed Ahmed to work with the state Legislature to change the law, he said.

"Being a good neighbor means helping your neighbors who are in need," Ahmed said in a written statement. "This could be as simple as providing a cup of sugar, monitoring their house while they're on vacation or making sure their children are safe while they wait for the school bus."

The United States of Fools.

After 9/11, the Empire State Building regained it's title as the tallest building in NYC, and the one that attracts the most attention from tourists. For some time now, the top of this old icon has been bathed in multi-colored lights at night, for a variety of reasons, none of which are known to me, nor to most other NY'ers. The other night, the lights went on again, but this time they were Red and Yellow. Why? To honor Communist China. No, that's not a typo. It seems the ChiComs are celebrating their 60th anniversary, and one of NYC's pro-communist leftists (we have millions of them here) thought it would be nice for us to give the ChiComs this honor.

Why would such a thing be done for one of the most treacherous, anti-freedom governments on the face of the earth? Well, let's see. Could it be because;

a) There are more communists in NYC than in China? (this could very well be)
b) Because China "literally" owns most of the US? (and that's true, thanks to the corrupt liars in DC)
c) That the ChiComs actually own the building? (that wouldn't surprise me)

Even i'm not old enough to remember, but i wonder if they gave the same honor to Hitler on the anniversary of his taking over Europe. Hmmm....

WTF IS HAPPENING TO THIS COUNTRY!!!

Draconian NY flu vaccine decision

.
I read an article over the weekend about some states losing population and others gaining. The two top attractors were TX and AK. NY was among the losers. Could crap like this be the reason?
.
Mandatory flu vaccination splits workers

.
Despite a planned rally in Albany Tuesday to protest a state regulation requiring health care workers be vaccinated against influenza — both seasonal and swine flu — New York’s top public health official predicts dissenters will ultimately extinguish their anger and roll up their sleeves.

The regulation, which was approved in August, comes with a stinging addendum: Get vaccinated or get fired.

But some nurses and many other health care providers say the regulation violates their personal freedom and leaves them vulnerable to vaccine injury. And they cite deaths associated with the last federal government swine-flu vaccination program in 1976.

Refusing to be immunized against H1N1 because of the vaccine debacle in 1976 “is like saying a plane crashed 33 years ago so I’ll never fly again,” said Dr. Richard Daines, New York State health commissioner.

New York is the only state in the nation to require that health care workers be vaccinated, though other states are considering such measures.

Free Elections?

Free elections are one of the things guaranteed to us by our Constitution. Personally, i would feel better if it said "fair" elections, although it wouldn't matter much to the corrupt, lying, crooks who rule us. Having free elections means nothing if those elections and their results are easily manipulated by those who lust for power and control. For example, It's now widely known that, if not for his daddy's money and Chicago Mafia connections, JFK would not have been elected president. (and had his daddy kept his promises to "the boys", JFK might still be alive) What's the big deal? No JFK, no Viet Nam war. No JFK, no LBJ, no massive escalation in Nam, and no Civil Rights giveaways. As you can see, manipulating elections can have "far reaching" consequences.

Now that our entire government is under the total control of the Demoncrats and the far-Left, it should come as no surprise to see that powerful government agencies, such as DOJ, are being used to further the Leftist agenda. Not only are they being used, they're also being quietly filled with people who's only allegiance is to their political masters, not the American people. Even if Odumbo doesn't get re-elected in 2012, how many years will it take to find, expose, and weed out these people from their positions of power and influence? The damage they cause can last for generations.

Having the ability to vote in so-called "free" elections is meaningless unless those elections are fair. And IMO, in a system like ours, where things are so easily manipulated, fair elections are simply an illusion, one designed to keep the sheeple passive...

He's Not Like Hitler?

Apparently, president Odumbo is bothered by being likened by some to Hitler. Well, if i were him and it bothered me, i would stop acting like Hitler.

Hitler also believed that he, and only he, knew what was best for everyone.

Hitler also used draconian measures to silence his critics.

Hitler too believed that the state (that being himself) should control everything and everyone.

Like Odumbo, Hitler also believed that he was the worlds saviour.

And like Odumbo, Hitler did not tolerate any resistance to his agenda.

Personally, i don't see much difference at all. And i don't see why he's so upset. People have been comparing him to Hitler for only the past few months, while they compared GWB to Hitler for eight years!

Here's another one of my opinions. For this president to address the Congressional Black Caucus dinner, and not address the Congressional White caucus dinner, is racist. Oh, we don't have a Congressional White Caucus?

"Beware of those who cry racism, for they are the true racists"

Update from U.S. Senator John Cornyn

Friday, September 25, 2009

This week the Senate Finance Committee began marking up Chairman Baucus’ health care reform legislation. On the opening day of the Finance Committee mark up, I revealed an analysis I requested from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, which shows how devastating this health care proposal would be to Texans. The report estimates that Chairman Baucus’ legislation would increase Texas Medicaid costs by $20.4 billion over 10 years. Additionally, it revealed that 2.5 million Texans could end up on Medicaid if this legislation is enacted.
The proposal we are debating right now in the Finance Committee is not good for Texans. The best estimate for its true cost is more than $1.6 trillion, it would cut Medicare by $500 billion, create massive new taxes on families and small businesses and create another thousand page, trillion dollar government program. President Obama and Congressional Democrats have consistently maintained that Americans who like the coverage they currently have will be able to keep it under any new health care legislation. But that’s just not the case.
My colleagues across the aisle know it. Since they are so insistent on forcing so many Americans onto government run health care, I offered an amendment that would require Members of the Congress to enroll in the Medicaid program should this legislation become law. Not surprisingly, it was overwhelmingly rejected. Over the last week it has become apparent that some are more concerned with forcing through bad legislation to meet arbitrary deadlines than they are with getting it right. Never was this more apparent than late last night when I discovered that the Congressional Budget Office had made a $600 million mistake when estimating the cost of one of my colleagues’ amendments. The Chairman had hurriedly forced this amendment through on a voice vote before this error was discovered. I offered a common sense amendment that would require us to know the true cost of any amendment before we vote on it. It was met with great resistance and voted down.
I continue to be alarmed over ACORN’s blatant misuse of taxpayer dollars, and I recently asked Majority Leader Harry Reid to instruct relevant Senate committee chairmen to investigate ACORN's offenses and identify the sources of all federal funds that ACORN and its affiliates receive, so that we can ensure taxpayers don’t continue to fund this fraud-ridden organization. The Majority Leader is currently refusing to investigate ACORN, stating that it would be a “distraction.” It appears that for Majority Leader Reid, ‘oversight' is a selective responsibility.
We also learned this week that General Stanley McChrystal, commander of the International Security Assistance Force and U.S. Forces Afghanistan, has apparently determined that additional troops and resources are necessary to win the war in Afghanistan. I wrote to President Obama after hearing reports that his Administration is considering an abrupt strategy shift in Afghanistan and has yet to consider General McChrystal’s pending request. I will continue to urge the President not to abandon the very counterinsurgency strategy he began implementing just a few months ago, to supply senior commanders in Afghanistan with any additional troops and resources they need, and to stand firm on his promise to do whatever it takes to defeat al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan. We must complete the mission in Afghanistan and do whatever is necessary to defeat al Qaeda, which has proven itself to be a lethal, mobile, and resilient enemy. The safety of American citizens depends on it.

...

Sincerely,

U.S. Senator John Cornyn

But we already knew all this, did we not? We're in deep doo doo boys and girls.

Dumb Crook, Dumber Legal System

.
I'll let you read the entire article, but here are the highlights. Lee County Fl, THE most wanted criminal, caught shoplifting, video games. He has priors for armed robbery and kidnapping.
.
Daniel Larson, 32, of Cape Coral, already had an extensive criminal record, leading to his place on the list. He had two convictions for armed robbery with a deadly weapon in 1999 and 2004, and another 1999 conviction for kidnapping.
.
Why was he out on the street? He used a fake ID to get out of jail, this time. But I thought kidnapping was one of those 20 years in the slammer crimes. It is on TV. And two CONVICTIONS, for armed robbery. Is this guy a sweetheart or what?

'Homeless' doll costs $95

.
Barbie she's not. Meet Gwen Thompson, the newest addition to the American Girl canon of dolls -- the wildly suc cessful, extremely expensive brand of faux children that are sold out of a four-story town house in the heart of Fifth Avenue.

Little children as young as 4 are addicted to these pricey little monsters. It's like middle-American crack.

You have an African-American doll, an American Indian doll. A Jewish one. A doll who "lived" during the Great Depression, and one from the Roaring '20s.

And while you were snoozing, the creators of American Girl, which is sold by Mattel, got bold. They engaged in all-out political indoctrination.
Sponsored Links

Snuck into the collection is a doll that comes with a biography that is weird and potentially offensive enough to keep Mom running to the Maalox. Gwen, you see, is harboring a terrible secret.

She is homeless. A homeless doll.

In the history books that come with every American Girl doll -- bringing to life these little monsters until impressionable little ones believe they are actual people -- you learn that Gwen's father walked out on the family. Her mother lost her job.

As the little kiddies learn to read about this doll as if she's a human being, one learns that, as fall turned into winter, Gwen's mom lost her grip.

Mother and daughter started bedding down in a car.

For $95 -- more than your average homeless person would dream of spending on a rather mediocre baby substitute -- Gwen Thompson can be yours. A mixed message if ever there was one.

If you'd like a doll desk, doll horse, doll clothes, doll trunk, a medical kit -- suitable for pretending to administer doll drugs -- that will cost you extra. A lot extra. Did I mention how wildly successful this series is?

I'd heard about this doll from a friend, and walked into the American Girl store in Midtown to investigate. I found not a store, but a cult.
.
You've got to get the Little Darling in your life one of these, don't you think? How else will they learn how lucky they are, if NOT from a $95.00 toy?

...and pass the ammunition

.
NEW ORLEANS — Bullet-makers are working around the clock, seven days a week, and still can't keep up with the nation's demand for ammunition.

Shooting ranges, gun dealers and bullet manufacturers say they have never seen such shortages. Bullets, especially for handguns, have been scarce for months because gun enthusiasts are stocking up on ammo, in part because they fear President Barack Obama and the Democratic-controlled Congress will pass antigun legislation - even though nothing specific has been proposed and the president last month signed a law allowing people to carry loaded guns in national parks.

Gun sales spiked when it became clear Obama would be elected a year ago and purchases continued to rise in his first few months of office. The FBI's National Instant Criminal Background Check System reported that 6.1 million background checks for gun sales were issued from January to May, an increase of 25.6 percent from the same period the year before.

"That is going to cause an upswing in ammunition sales," said Larry Keane, senior vice president of the National Shooting Sports Foundation, a trade association representing about 5,000 members. "Without bullets a gun is just a paper weight."

The shortage for sportsmen is different than the scarcity of ammo for some police forces earlier this year, a dearth fueled by an increase in ammo use by the military in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"We are working overtime and still can't keep up with the demand," said Al Russo, spokesman for North Carolina-based Remington Arms Company, which makes bullets for rifles, handguns and shotguns. "We've had to add a fourth shift and go 24-7. It's a phenomenon that I have not seen before in my 30 years in the business."
.
The article then goes on to say we'll buy 2 billion MORE rounds of ammunition this year, than we did last year. If I was an elected official, I'd be paying very close attention to this trend.

For Goober...Ohhhh SHIT!

.
I need to have my temperature checked, because I’m certain that I am sick. Sick like a dog. Sick in ways that I cannot describe, and it must be something really nasty like syphilis or something because…

…I actually agree with something that Michael Moore said.

Yes, that Michael Moore, the fat, disheveled, slovenly one, who eats truth and shits lies like it is part of his biological process.

Right up until he blames the mess on capitalism, I agree with him. The government took our money and gave it to failed business enterprises in a form of corporate welfare that the world has never before seen, and cannot tell us where the money went because they don’t know!

But I have to depart from him when he goes on to say that capitalism is to blame. You know, the free-market, unimpeded-by-government economic structure that we have that failed miserably because the markets weren’t free and were impeded upon by government. Yeah, that one. Left to it’s own devices, this market would have:

A.) Never bet on the come with completely irresponsible lending because there would have been no benefit to it without the governmental intervention that incentivized it in the first place;

B.) Allowed businesses that participated in this mess to be transparently defunct and in trouble, instead of giving them a place to hide it through government intervention;

C.) Allowed these businesses to fail, which in essence would have redistributed all of the wealth that they had a strangle hold on to all of the people below them, which should have been the democrat’s wet dream – yet they bailed the businesses out (and to who’s benefit? I still haven’t figured that one out yet!)

D.) Never would have created the bubble that burst in the first place.

Shall I go on? The problem is not free market capitalism. The problem here came from government interference in the free market. The problem was any socialist or fascist (and I use that in the sense that fascists controlled markets just like socialists did, but did so while letting them remain privately owned in the nominal sense) tendency to mess with the free market to achieve some social goal.

So I guess I can take solace in the fact that I only partially agree with his flabbiness, Michael Moore. But it still scares the fuck out of me.

Plaxico Burress traded to Sing Sing in gunshot deal...

.
Moron-at-large and crybaby Plaxico Burress drew a two year prison sentence today, for his self-inflicted stupidity from November 2008. Personally, I'm surprised that he drew that much time. Evidently the judge is a Jets fan? Burress was suspended by the NFL and the NY Giants pending the outcome of today's legal festivities.
.
Anyway, the unsurprising part is that Roger Goddell, the NFL Commissioner and America's best known employer of idiot, no shootin' felons, said that Burress would be re-instated to the league when he's done his jail time. No shock there, huh?
.
Would your boss want you back?
.
As I've stated here before, I am not America's number 1 spots fan. I don't skip church, family events, anniversaries or kids b'day parties for sports events. I despise those who do. I think college sports is even more over rated than Barrack Obama's opinion of Barrack Obama. Pro sports is for the elites now. Ya'll can have it all.
.
Bottom line though, you don't have to be a non-sports fan to see the cockeyed thinking that would allow a 32 y/o child to get caught breaking numerous laws, across state lines, then gaining a light sentence for it, with probable re-instatement to his old career, with the open invitation of his old bosses, to see that the world has gone pear shaped.
.
Plaxico Burress should be relegated to washing cars at the local Auto Bell Carwash for his paycheck post prison. Or working at the bodega sweeping up chicken feathers and goat fur, just like every other ex-felon.

The Show Must Go On

Several months ago, president Odumbo put on one of his shows at CIA headquarters, telling it's people how "he stands behind them". Of course, if someone is going to stab you in the back, that's exactly where they'd be standing. After telling the American people over, and over again that he had no plans, nor did he want, to start a big investigation into the alleged interrogation abuses of terrorists by some CIA agents, he now thinks it should go ahead. Apparently, we're not supposed to realize that was his true intention all along. And i guess, we're not supposed to realize that the AG works for him, not the other way around.

I wonder how many people really understand that the CIA is one of the few barriers we have to protect us from a world filled with anti-American terrorists. Yes, the agency was deliberately gutted by Bubba and Hitlary back in the early 90's. And yes, many liberal and left-leaning moles were placed in the agency, which is why the place leaked like a sieve while GWB was president. But, they're still one of the only real protections we have against international terrorism. If they can't protect us, who will? Maybe we can ask the AG to get his friends in the Black Panthers to help? That is, if they're not too busy intimidating and threatening voters. Or, maybe we can wait until Odumbo builds his "army of private soldiers". Those are the "private citizens" who the president said would be "better trained and equipped than our military". I'm sure that once they're in place, we can all rest a lot easier.

The CIA must have some incredibly dedicated people for them to still be risking their lives to protect this country, while under serious assault from the very government they're protecting. Personally, i could understand if they all walked away from their jobs and said, to hell with it. Why should they risk not only their lives, but their careers, their reputations, their families, and possibly their freedom, simply to satisfy the radical agenda of Odumbo, his AG, and the rest of the far-Left?.......... WAKE-UP AMERIKA!
