Square Pants...Square Butts...Square Heads

.
Have you seen the SpongeBob / Burger King commercials? Girls with square butts dancing to the old school Sir Mix-a-lot song "I like Big Butt's". As with 99.999999999% of rap music and TV commercials in general, it's annoying as hell. But that's the point, to have the bit burrow into our subconscious and drive us to want BK food.
.
But there are people out there who think BK and Nickelodeon, SpongeBobs home, have ruined the franchise for children. And ruined in the Victorian sense, the term the Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood is using is "deflowered". (and just how prudish are they to use these 19th Century terms?)
.
I'm assuming they've not seen SpongeBob cartoons or the SpongeBob movie, both of which have some pretty racy, double entendre comments. The movie especially goes toward the Muppet's style adult jokes. I guess the CCFC hasn't realized that SpongeBob winds up in his Marky Mark jockey shorts in almost every episode. And I guess the Jockey Shorts people didn't pony up enough money for those commercial rights.
.
But what is really foolish is the concept these do gooders have of our society. Once again, some outside agitation society has decided to save us from ourselves. Our society is DOOMED without them telling us what is right, what is outrageous and working at halting all advertising aimed at children.
.
I don't need to the CCFC, my TV came with a remote control that changes the channel, and also controls the ON / OFF function. If square butts offend you, turn it OFF!!
.
That's what I'm doing to the CCFC. It's fair play, they turn me off too.

Look at the "banned cartoons" section of Youtube. In the 20's and 30's and beyond there were plenty of risque cartoons from Betty Boop to Felix the Cat. Click my name to see one that is very funny (to me)

Cartoons have always been full of stuff that kids are never gonna get; it's there for the grown-ups. Not necessarily double-entendre or sneakily sexish, just over the kids' heads for one reason or the other. Anybody else remember Animaniacs? My boys LOVE Animaniacs. As do I. But I guarantee they don't get even half the jokes. They're either above their educational level, or they reference some pop culture something that's so old most people MY age won't get it.

The only problem I have with this commercial is when the rapper says Booty is Booty. That is not kid friendly. I'm thinking there is a message that makes Burger King look bad in the commercial though. It isn't anything that they are complaining about. Here is goes; If you eat at Burger King, you will get a square butt!

This opposing organization is using part of my name-should I sue?

I'm surprised BK did the SpongBob commercials, Wendy's is the one with square burgers, or White Castle or Crystal.

CFC,
and saying booty, means what exactly? In this case, using ghettoized verbiage, it simply means butt. They say butt about ten times. I'm sure, there are people who object to that too.

I'm surprised the CCFC doesn't object to that and ask them to use "posterior".

QUOTABLE QUOTES
"Our media have convinced themselves -- as has the entire Democratic Party cabal of power-wielders now in charge -- that the November election really was a landslide of historic proportions (which it certainly was not), that the "change" moderates really wanted was what they are now getting (out-of-control profligate spending), and that they are now free as "reporters" to finally come out of the closet as the socialist elitists they've always been." – Kyle-Anne Shiver
