I'm so sick of lies in the media that I could puke. That august fish wrap, The Washington Post, has some interesting things to say about the "Tea Party" Rally in D.C, and elsewhere today. That's expected.
.
But what slays me is their refusal to remember back 10 months ago to the Lame Duck Presidency of one George Walker Bush. I don't remember the WaPo complaining about references to "Bushitler", but they object to BOHICA being compared to Adolph Hitler.
.
They've got more to say about protesters carrying signs with swastikas. OK, that's an old left wing, liberal thing from the Viet Nam War. OK for them I guess, bad form for others, naturally.
.
They go speak to McCain's former adviser Mark McKinnon, BFD, there's not a real conservative IN that bunch that I've ever seen. And to prove it, McKinnon, goes with number of standard Democrat Party, Lefty Liberal Thought Lines.
Mark McKinnon, a former adviser to Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) and other Republicans, said there is an "opportunity for Republicans" to tap into legitimate fears about an overreaching federal government. But he said that "right-wing nutballs are aligning themselves with these movements" and are dominating media coverage.
.
"It's bad for Republicans because in the absence of any real leadership, the freaks fill the void and define the party,"
.
Hmmm, nutballs and freaks? Could that attitude by why McCain lost votes from some Republicans? I think they exuded an arrogant attitude in the McCain Camp from Day One. Alas, we had but two choices in November, arrogance, or ignorance. And IF there were many real conservatives left out there willing to run, there would be NO VOID to fill!! But wait, it get's better.
.
Go back, read what McKinnon said in the middle of his blurb.
.
..."opportunity for Republicans" to tap into legitimate fears about...
.
Fear is THE main tool of the left, they FEEL about everything, and God forbid they ever think about anything. But I guess McKinnon did give himself an out, he says the fears are "legitimate". But wait, if the fears are legitimate, maybe the tactics are too Mark?
.
In the article's close, one sitting Repugnican Congressman questions whether this threatens the Two Party System. Will someone send him a copy of the Constitution, the Two Party System isn't mentioned, and as such, is not sacrosanct. I'd stand with him, but we currently have Party and a Half System, in that, it's hard to see where there's any true difference in the two parties we have.

Read the whole thing.

This is simply more proof that we're actually a one-party country. Party labels no longer count as far as i'm concerned. Except for the fact that one is viciously fascist, while the other is weak and disoriented, they're the same! And seeing that remark from Juan McLoser's advisor is no surprise. The Demoncrats called McLoser "their favorite" Republican for good reason. He's actually one of them!
Personally, i would've thought, with the way this govt is going, someone would be talking about starting a real 3rd party. If the time was ever right for one, it's now. I'm also surprised we're not hearing anything from Ron Paul about this. Now should be the perfect opportunity for him to tell the people that yes, there are genuine alternatives to what Odumbo and the congressional commies are trying to shove down their throats.
Without a very strong and serious counter-effort, the leftist tidal wave that is consuming our country, our government, and our liberty, will simply get stronger.
If the Libertarians would lose the Drug Legalization Issues, they'd make big strides right now. I'm personally for legalization, but most folks are not, and it keeps them out of the group.
But a 3rd Party is needed, and yesterday isn't too soon.
Mark McKinnon (contrary to his own public utterances) is not a Republican but a DEMOCRAT (although he certainly fits into prime 'RINO' status) who originally worked for Governor Ann Richards in Texas, oozed his way into the good graces of George W. Bush, and although it's been forgotten by almost everyone, it was one of his people (Juanita Yvette Lozano) who leaked the Bush-preparation debate tape to the Gore campaign in 2000, and was caught on a post office security camera mailing a package containing the video tape and 120 pages of Bush campaign materials to former U.S. 'Rat-Rep Tom Downey of New York, who was working on Gore's staff.
McCain sure can pick them, cant he? McKinnon is more of a Democrat infiltrator of the GOP than an actual Republican.
It's not losing the drug issue, but to not put that as far forward when there are more important issues to address, such as the economy. It should be, "and yea, gov't stay out of my body.
