A few months ago, a video was making it's way around the Internet and the MSM. I'm sure most of you have seen it. The video showed an Apache helicopter hovering over a group of armed terrorists in Iraq. The chopper was called in by our ground troops who were taking RPG fire from this group. After describing (in detail) what they were seeing to their base, the chopper crew asked for, and was given permission to fire on these terrorists. Among this group of terrorists were three men who also appeared to be carrying weapons. The chopper opened fire on the group which obviously stopped them from continuing to fire at our warriors. It later turned out that two or three of the men were allegedly media cameramen. And in spite of the fact that the Apache crew did an outstanding job, the PC'ists in the MSM and the military were predictably outraged when they viewed the video.
Now it turns out that the choppers "classified" video of the action was leaked to some leftist "gotcha" website by a member of the military. It's not clear whether the leaker was part of the chopper crew. It also turns out that this leaker has leaked "thousands" of classified documents to these "tell-all" sites, something that far too many of today's young people think is "cute and funny", so long as it gets them attention. Problem is, we are at war, and this was in a combat zone while our troops were under fire. Cute and funny? I don't think so. How about, treason!
With today's technology, everybody is a walking TV studio/communications center, with the ability to take a picture/video and send it around the world in seconds. And they usually don't care, or think about, who's viewing it and what possible damage it can cause. What may get you on Utube, or one of the other brainless sites, may give your pals back home a laugh, but it may also make some of our warriors dead! Needless to say, our warriors have enough to deal with thanks to a highly devoted enemy who's "mission from God" is to totally destroy them. The last thing they need is for one of their own to put them in even more danger. And i think it's safe to assume the soldier in this case is not the only one engaging in this kind of very dangerous stupidity.
Back in the day when this was still America, this would be considered treason. I'm sure there are those who will say, "oh well, it wasn't intentional ". IMO, that "classified" info was fed to these web sites "with the full knowledge" that the whole world would see it, and knowing that the info could very likely put American military lives at risk, makes it intentional. And since this is a military matter, my usual solution for cases like this, (a horse, a tree, and a rope) will not apply here. In this case, my solution, albeit still simple, is "a wall, a blindfold, and a cigarette"...

I felt good watching the raw footage last night. For the 1st time (in 18 months) I'm proud to be an American
I heard this on the radio earlier. It slays me that the leaker got busted by a hacker.
Irony is so sweet.
“And every administration has struggled to solve the problem, but none has had much success,” said Mr. Smith.
Spidey is right... "a wall, a blindfold, and a cigarette"... would solve the treasonous problem.
