In a sane world...

.
In a sane world, Bradley Manning and Julian Assange, would be dead by noon.
.
WIKILEAKS NIGHTMARE: 10000S OF DOCS DUMPED

.
Personally, I think Manning is a traitor and should be treated (executed) as such. Assange is a foreigner and should be charged with espionage. Then he should be executed.
.
Can you say Julius and Ethel Rosenberg?

Ahh, the old question that was raised back in the 60's during the Viet Nam war. Is it journalism, or is it treason? My response is rather simple. To divulge military secrets during a time of war, whether you agree with that war or not, is TREASON! And, as i said back then, the "journalists, reporters, messengers", or whatever title they hide behind, should be handed a cigarette and a blindfold and given a comfortable spot against the nearest brick wall. It is the internationally accepted method for dealing with traitors. Of course, that won't happen here because we're an "enlightened" society. ( definition: weak fools)

Last month, i posted a story about that young Army traitor who stole the classified video of an Apache chopper crew in Iraq that hovered above a group of fully armed terrorists who were actually firing at our warriors, and sprayed then with a sufficient amount of justice. A couple of the people in that group turned out to be foreign "reporters" who thought showing our troops being killed would make a great video. Well, they sure won't do that again!

At the time, i also mentioned that the young Army traitor that was arrested for supplying the classified video to a Leftist, anti-war web site, had admitted to stealing "tens-of-thousands" of classified videos, documents, war plans, diplomatic documents, etc. By now, i thought i might get to see his execution on HBO, but nothing so far. Whether all this newly released stuff is from what he stole is still not clear, although i find it hard to believe he's the only traitor in our midst. There's never only one.

In a sane world, the sands of Afghanistan and Iran and N Korea would be flash-melted into nice shiny glass.

The resulting country-sized mirrors would also reflect back the sun's rays and help alleviate "global warming".

Win-win.

Jimbo,
according to Amadmaninajacket, we're PLANNING to attack two Middle Eastern countries soon. His worry, combined with your idea...who knows?

Even if he's right, with the current bunch of Marxist pansys in the WH, it'll be too little, too late. And as is always the case, a weak response will simply trigger more aggression.

7-27-10:
"The group responsible for the leaks is an unabashed foe of US policy and made no attempt whatsoever to vet the documents with the Pentagon for material that might endanger the lives of American soldiers.

As Rep. Ike Skelton (D-Mo.), chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, rightly noted: "Our nation's secrets are classified for a reason." It's not up to WikiLeaks, (the Swedish-based anti-war group) -- or even The New York Times -- to decide what can be released to the public without putting the lives of those in combat at risk.

The leaker is most likely Bradley Manning, a 22-year-old US Army intelligence analyst charged this month with releasing classified information after bragging that he'd turned over 250,000 stolen documents to WikiLeaks."
