I'm sorry to see that we may have our Mỹ Lai event of the war on terror.
.
The U.S. Army has been forced to apologise over what they have deemed as 'repugnant' photographs of grinning American soldiers standing over bloodied and partially-naked Afghan bodies they had allegedly killed.
The pictures were published by German news organisation Der Spiegel and were among 4,000 they have obtained.
Meanwhile, commanders in Afghanistan are bracing themselves for a public backlash and possible riots over the 'trophy' photographs, especially since it has been alleged that the Afghan civilians were unarmed and innocent.
.
And as a veteran, son and grandson of a veteran and both my kids are veterans, the older one is STILL in the Navy, this sickens me. It proves to the world that we are who they say we are. It also ENDANGERS everyone in a U.S. military uniform. But there's an answer.
.
Behead these fucking animals, just before prayers on Friday afternoon and show it on Al Jazeera.
.
I'm not saying deny their rights. Let the Courts Martials run their course. Let them appeal. And anyone convicted at both,
.
Chop, CHOP!!!
.
Sorry Mr & Mrs Average, but we executed Johnny Average. It seems your son WAS what we are supposed to be fighting against. He aligned himself with murdering thugs with no conscience.
.
Personally, we, my family that is, didn't do our time so this kind of crap could happen. I expect few of us did!! We're supposed to PROTECT the weak, not take 4000 pictures of them dead, with us grinning like it's our first deer hunt.
.
Personally, I'm sad that I'm too old and 'stove up' to wield the axe myself.

"We're supposed to protect the weak"? Who said the DOA's are "the weak"? The only weak people i see there are our warriors because they have to fight a war while handcuffed by stupid rules made up by some old armchair general in DC.
Dead bodies? Of course. Isn't that what they were sent there to do? Or were they sent there to build new homes, swiming pools, schools, movie theaters, hospitals, and shopping malls for people who insist on living in the 10th century? And if fighting and killing the enemy isn't why they're there, then get them the fuck out of there and bring them home!
If we can't rid ourselves of the old "war-by-the-rules" mentalitally, which is all bullshit anyway, and understand that once again, like in Nam, we're fighting people who couldn't care less about rules, then we're gonna lose. Again!
what spider said
OK, but if we're going to do as they do, bring the guys home and protect US first. Take awa the possibility of any U.S. troops doing this. Of course, being insular, by the way, has NEVER worked before.
And I'm sorry, but killing women and kids is animalistic, and there is no defense. From what the German news said these stupid MFers took pictures WITH the women and children TOO. Anybody who would take pictures with dead bodies in a war zone becomes suspect right off the bat.
And in answer to, "...isn't that what they were sent to do?" Not no but HELL no!! There is no way yo can convince me that they were sent to round up and murder people in that manner.
More than that, I'd say that was the EXACT reasoning of 19 Muslim men, between 19 and 35, on September 11, 2001 in NYC and Washington D.C. We were sent to kill civilians.
"If we kill a bunch of them and their wives and kids, they'll give up."
Was that YOUR thought pattern by noon on 9/11?
Listen, don't get me wrong, I think we've under killed and pissed around with the enemy here in gigantic forms of stupidity. Under Bush and Obama, it's been too little, too late. But we need to be bombing the shit out of military control and secret police stations in TEHRAN to stop the jihadis from being supplied!!!
As I said before, we need about 600K or 700K troops on the ground, split, half in Afghanistan, half in Iraq, and they need to drive these jihadi assholes into a pile in the Iranian desert, and then recreate the Highway of death scenario.
And yes, there ARE rules of war. Did you kill civilians when you were a cop, because thugs were in the same neighborhood or building? What do you think the general populace would have said about that? And I mean general, not liberal, populace.
Undoubtedly civilians would be killed in any war, they always get caught in the middle. But we don't kill them on purpose, and certainly not with trophy pictures. We used to be the guys in the White Hats. It's hard to prove that we aren't like 'them', if we do as they do, regardless of who the 'them' of the moment are.
Press the button.
The problem with executing them on al jizz, or anywhere else, is it will result in the staging of such scenarios for the purpose of executing other soldiers.
War is hell, especially when you sneak-attack a much larger country as the towel-heads did on 9/11. And rules? Rules are great for football. In war you either kill or you die. Take your pick.
"Did you kill civilians when you were a cop, because thugs were in the same neighborhood or building?"
No, but i did shoot a few. Shit happens when you're thrust into a violent situation that someone else started and now you have to deal with. And my "rules of engagement" were very simple. I win. They lose.
The pictures? No, that wasn't smart, especially in todays digital world. But you and i both know what young warriors can do sometimes, especially after so much combat. I'm surprised they haven't wasted the whole population. The bottom line is, if they weren't there, things like this wouldn't happen. One of the reasons we no longer win wars is because our troops are sent to fight but not win. I'm amazed they all don't shoulder their weapons and come home.
BTW, after only 2 days, our troops are already being accused of "murdering civilians" in Lybia while rescuing a downed F-15 pilot.
BOW,
I'm not sure what you mean?
The UCMJ fully supports and lays out, the sentence for murder being execution of the convicted member. I'm just saying let the AJ audience see it happen.
Spider,
we're gonna have to agree to disagree.
propaganda my friend, propaganda.
