OK, so I got a phone call from my daughter-in-law this afternoon wondering why her house was shaking. I told her it must have been a big truck going by her house.
.
WRONG!!!!
.
It was a friggin' earthquake! And I thought I left this crap in California. Now this 5.8 rattler may not seem like a big deal to those from the left coast, but around here, this is a HUGE deal.

It sure got my attention!!!
Seriously? I'm telling you, the two of us here in my house felt zero, zip, nada!
Not that I feel slighted mind you. I lived through 5 or 6 good snaps in CA. I'm all good on the seismic roller coaster effect thanks!
However, I currently AM prepping for the freakin' hurricane. And all this goes on while I play at being sea sick from an inner ear thing.
(I was, BTW, never sea sick WHILE actually AT sea)
If my week gets any better I'll throw a party and invite you all!
And I must have missed the WH press meeting this PM. Did they blame GWB for the earthquake?
No. They blamed Palin.
Yeah bud, when it hit i was ready to bail! The last time i felt anything like that was when i was with this Puerto Rican nurse i used to know. She could, er, um,... oh well, i'll tell you when i see you. Now they're saying to expect after shocks. Like living here isn't enough of a shock.
Yeah, to hear it locally you'd have thought the earth opened and swallowed Virginia in masse.
The tsunami was one of foolish people and their more foolish opinions and fears.
Ya'll goin feel sumptim preddy soon Eye garountee
Yo kid, where've ya been?
Yeah, it's a helluva week. An earthquake and a hurricane. Fun, fun, fun at the Schteveo compound.
We're headed out to the "Pop Shop" (my 40' cargo container) to straighten stuff out in there so 6 people can hunker down if need be.
