Doesn't that sound like a rather crazy question? Crazy perhaps, but certainly legitimate, and damned scary! As we speak, Rep. Peter King, (R-NY) is holding congressional hearings. The topic? Just how deeply has Al-Qaeda infiltrated our military? WHAT? Yes, infiltrated.
1) How many actual Al-Q members and sympathizers are in American uniform?
2) How many have access to "secured" American military bases?
3) How many have access to sensitive/secret military info, weapons, and computer systems?
BTW, i'm not talking about some obscure overseas bases. I'm talking about, "right here at home"! Sound nuts? It really does, until you stop and remember Ft. Hood.
For me, the question becomes, "will the weak, gullible, and gutless American people allow political correctness to destroy our military, just as it's destroying our entire society"?

I'm seeing zero evidence of this "infiltration" in their article. We've heard about the attacks against bases they've uncovered, but the title, IMHO, was the draw to get people reading.
And that idiot Hasan the Assassin at Ft. Hood wasn't an infiltrator, he just flipped sides. The word infiltrator implies a long or hidden route to a place.
Beyond that, an infiltrator won't go around saying openly, or telling anyone, they're an infiltrator or spouting infiltrator type rhetoric. So the 'keep your eyes open for anyone suspicious' stuff won't work any better against these infiltrators than it did with guys like Kim Filby.
Watching for traitors doesn't work either. Look up something about the Walker Spy Ring.

the CinC, especially THIS one, has no connection to the military, except his being voted in as the President, ergo, CinC.. We've never had a president who 'worked his way up from the bottom through the military, except for guys like Grant or Eisehower, who really retired, then ran for POTUS.
Washington was kind of drafted by popular demand. There were people who wanted him to proclaim himself King when he was first elected.

Unless you get invited to National Security briefings, how do you know that? Are you saying there's no real reason for these congressional hearings?
No, an infiltrator won't go around telling everybody, but there are always signs if you know what to look for. In fact, that's exactly what was said of Hasan by his fellow officers, that they should've noticed the strange things the guy was doing and saying but were stopped by PC and a fear of saying anything negative about a Mooselamb.

There was never any doubt that Hasan’s killing spree was an Islamic terror attack. He had spent years waving red flags, shouting in the face of anyone who would listen that his loyalty was to radical Islam, not the USA. Similarly, the political establishment and military top brass is loyal not to the USA but to political correctness. To admit that nurturing Muslims in the bosom of the Armed Forces is a supremely stupid idea would cause the whole mandatory multicultural construct to come unraveled, so Hasan’s red flags were ignored — and continue to be ignored even after he murdered 14 Americans.
Disgustingly, Army chief of staff George Casey Jr.’s reaction to the terror attack was to pule that “it would be a shame if our diversity became a casualty.” The next Major Hasan is ticking away as you read this.
“There is a serious threat within the military from people who have enlisted who are radical jihadists,” [Rep. Peter] King [R-NY] said.
Warns King:
“There’s a definite threat from Islamic radicalization in various parts of our society, including within the military, and we can’t allow political correctness to keep us from exposing this threat for what it is...”

Ah, yes, there ARE people who realize that there is a HUGE difference in the DoD and 'the military'. The DoD may well be all about PC crap, but 'the military' is not. Anyone who's about PC, won't join in the first place.
The folks in the military must take direction FROM the hand wringing twits who come and go at DoD, but THAT's why we need more conservatives in federal office.
So that there is WAY less of that crap for them to have to deal with, and so they can keep us safe.
