Here's MY analysis of this.
The MSM is tied in a knot. On one hand they support these young knuckleheads and see themselves, circa 1968, in the protesters. BUT, they can't report this widely because they've been countering the Right & Fox, et al, for the last two years that we will NOT have protests and riots here! And why not? Why, because The One will guide us out of any unsaid economic darkness.
Well, here we are kiddies! The protesters are bitching just as much about Obama, Reid and Nany as they are about Fox, Wall Street and the hyper rich. So the MSM is / are screwed.
I, on the other hand, live far from Wall Street, own plenty of food and copious guns. As well as a vintage compound bow that I'm dying to use to go all "...you butt fucked my canoeing partner so I'm gonna grow arrows in your lungs" on some anti-profit goof ball! I'm gladly sitting here, prepping for TEOTWAWKI.

Could it be the Left has decided to use this bunch of anarchists, (and that's exactly who they are) to counter anything the Tea Party says or does? It seems all the forces of the Left are already moving to support these cretins, including the MSM, labor, etc. And, as soon as the word went out on the left-wing blogs, this "protest" went national, spreading to several cities across this Nation of Sheep. I think the MSM is tied in friggin' knots over this AND the gun runner case. They like scandals and muck raking. But they're SO invested in the Obamanation that they can't break out of the loop. I was expecting them to throw out the birther law suit.
It's been 'undone' by the release of his birth cert. NOW, someone needs to sue to make them prove it's a fake.

Come next summer, if Obummer is seen as losing, (especially if he's losing badly) watch for the MSM to do what they always do, quietly back away from their cause (Obummer) rather than risk public rage.
The media knows the public is basically mindless with an attention span that lasts hours, if that. They also know how easy it is to distract the people with some nonsense, like some "who's sleeping with who" scandal. It never fails. That would allow them to switch from Obummer's main supporters, to being on the side of the people, a total lie they always get away with.

that's MoveOn's version of the headlines from two years ago.
"Tea Party being taken over by Republican Party Central Figures", "RNC trying to take over and tune down Tea Party rhetoric".
I think their motives are the same, destroy America, but these clowns are willing to destroy Obama, the DNC and what's left of the Constitution to get their way. They'd "trotsky" their own mothers to level the economic playing field so poor people in Africa can eat tonight.
What I NEVER hear them address is HOW they'll convince an African War Lord or Tribal Leader to feed his people after they take down Wall Street. Because, and here's the bottom line, if they go to Africa and 'protest for the poor and helpless', they'll be shot by the War Lords or Tribal Leaders and fed to the hogs!
How will they get the Chinese gub'ment to start feeding their hungry people? If reports are to be believed, there are Provinces in China on the edge of starvation NOW, because they are shipping food to Shanghai and Beijing. We know what China does to protesters.
