Talk about "how to suck up to the boss"...

Review: Job growth overstated

Washington - A Colorado company said it created 4,231 jobs with the help of President Obama's economic recovery plan. The real number: fewer than 1,000.
A child care center in Florida said it saved 129 jobs with the help of stimulus money. Instead, it gave pay raises to its existing employees.
The government has overstated by thousands the number of jobs it has created or saved with federal contracts under the president's $787 billion recovery program, according to an Associated Press review of data released in the program's first progress report.
The discrepancy raises questions about the reliability of a key benchmark the administration uses to gauge the success of the stimulus. The errors could be magnified today when a much larger round of reports is released.
- The Associated Press

I'm sure pressure was put on these companies to lie or they chose to lie in order to beef up Moabama's numbers since they supported him... but I'm not surprised.

BTW, has anybody downloaded the 1990 pages of the House health care plan? I have, but based on my spare reading time (I started reading James Michener's Hawaii - 1036 pages - when we left Hawaii in Feb. and I'm not through yet!) I won't have time to read it. I'll have to depend on Beck, Hannity, etc. to tell me what's in it. Honestly, I think Hawaii is more interesting that all their BS.

and Steve... Happy belated birthday! Sorry I missed it yesterday. That makes you 5 months and 5 years older than me. Damn. You REALLY are OLD! ;-)

It's that same kind of crap where taxes are at "x" percent, somebody in Congress says,

"...and we need to raise taxes by 3% to cover the programs necessary for..."

Then, they beat it around, drop it to 1.25%, or "x" PLUS that new 1.25%, but the idiots in both houses of Congress do what?

They call it a TAX DECREASE!!

The lying SOBs. All this proves is that figures don't lie, but liars can figure. Again.

OK, am I old, or am I a kid?

Well, it all depends, you see, it depends on how I sleep, and at 55, how I eat, and what I eat, if I drink enough water and if I get enough...how much...but not too much...it's a roughage thing. If your over 50, you probably get it. If your over 60, you do get it. If your over 70, God bless you, and I hope you remember it.

Kid, old guy, sheesh, make up my mind.

(my blog friends are a buncha wiseacres!!)

(and no, I'm not to the Depends stage)

(yet)

I actually had a great day, Mrs Schteveo surprised me and burned a comp day for me, we had homeschool in the morning, then took the g,kids to see "Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs", (according to the 5 y/o, it was 'totally assume, dude!!') Came home, had pasta, homemade sauce, salad, a couple pieces of german chocolate b'day cake, Mrs Schteveo gave me a cool new paddle holster for carrying this winter, it fits on my belt, under my favorite sweat shirt perfectly, watched some TV, hit the rack, slept my usual 5 or 6 hrs, now I'm here talking to you...

I really ain't got nuttin the bitch about, life's pretty good, when I get to slow down enough to look around.

Sounds like you had a perfect day. And a new paddle holster? Now that's one classy lady!

Why do folks call this "padding numbers" or "fudging"?

It is flat out lying is what it is.

I wanna a paddle holster, too!!!

Jimbo,
here's how it works, when Congress "pads the numbers", the taxpayers are about to get "fudged".

On the holster, remember, I told you guys she gave me the CCH class as part of my Christmas presents last year. She's very practical with her money. If we're going to spend $500 on classes, permits, weapons...we're going to make it as easy as possible to tote said weapon!!

(how many guys get a chick who buys them toys that go BOOM)

I love practical women, especially mine! And she never reads this, or any blog, so I'm NOT sucking up.
