Are Democrats Behind Closing Republican-Owned Chrysler Dealerships?
It should be clear to everyone by now that neither the Chrysler Corporation nor General Motors are going quietly into bankruptcy. The actions of the Obama administration represent what, in my lifetime, is certainly an unprecedented level of government interference in private business.A number of bloggers are pointing out that the dealerships targeted for closure are owned by people who appear to be overwhelmingly Republican in their political giving patterns. In fact, one of the auto dealers happens to be a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives. And that, they say, suggests that partisan politics are afoot.
So it is clear the stakes are high. But is this a legal issue—or a political one, as some suggest?
What do you think?

I think... damn right he is targeting conservatives.
I also think those dealers should give the little communist bastard the bird by turning their lots into Toyota dealerships.
In the mean time, while the liberal cancer is killing America, the Tumor in Chief jets to New York for a "date" with whats-er-name. "The White House refused to say how much the trip was costing taxpayers."

I never had, and never will have, an ounce of respect for Bill Clinton. Obama is 1000X worse.
I can't tell you what I wish for for the bastard - I don't want the Black Panthers (formerly known as the Secret Service) pounding down my door and dragging me off.
Over the last couple of years, because of the 100k warranty (amoung other things) I considered buying a Chevy. Now? No freaking WAY I'm buying anything from the most crooked car dealer in the history of used cars; Obama.
I'll stick with Toyota - which over the 20 years I've been driving them, have NEVER been in the shop for a major repair. My biggest expense has been tires.
the world has gone awry
Jimbo - in a few years you will be driving a Trabant.
As a good socialist, Obama is going to revive East Germany's claim to fame.
click my TrabantALGORE endorese this plan "....The duroplast was made of recycled material, cotton waste from Russia and phenol resins from the East German dye industry, making the Trabant the first car with a body made of recycled material."
I haven't owned a so-called Amerikan car since the 70's, which was the last time they made a good one. Since then, all my cars have been "foreign", (BMW, Infiniti, Acura, Honda, etc.) most of which, (unlike GM's Mexican cars) are made in the southern USA.
As for what yo Marxist president is doing to the auto industry, it's pretty clear to me his moves are political, not economical. After firing GM's CEO, Obummer's first order as the new GM boss was for them to start making these dangerous little econo-boxes that nobody wants. Thousands of people may die on the highways due to these little pieces of crap, but what's that compared to being "green"?
Mr. Bug drives an Chevy Avalanche and was planning on buying a new one until the hostile takeover of GM. Now we're considering a Honda Ridgeline.
I think this is the Republicans doing a fast shuffle, i.e,. figures don't lie, but liars can figure.
Yes there are business owners who are Liberal Democrats. But the majority of business owners are Republicans in this country. So if GM Dealerships get closed down, it will certainly mean MORE Republicans lose business than Democrats.
Personally, I hate this kind of "LOOK AT MY PLIGHT", number crunching. It's insulting. Unfortunately,it works most of the time.
Steve has that right. You have those who own business, and those who covet those businesses.
Then again, the Demoncrats are in control of everything, aren't they.
The Dems are in control, via the courts and over regulation!! Not by popular choice or vast election.
How many businesses are owned by democrats?
They aren't. Because the very act of owning a business changes dems into conservatives as soon as the doors open. You can't close down businesses without disproportionately affecting conservatives.
That being said, can someone explain to me how closing down dealerships, reducing competition and consumer choice, and limiting our accessibility to alternative choices, is somehow a GOOD THING for the people that bailed these companies out?
Please explain. Please, because I don't get it!
By keeping the vortex open, more money can be sucked into the black hole.
