It seems most people think Left and Right run in straight lines directly away from one another. Nothing could be less true. We learned in 9th-grade physics that 'straight lines' don't physically exist - everything (even light) is curved. Politics is no different. For instance, we've all heard or engaged in arguments over Nazis being far left or far right. IMO - both are correct.
If you go far enough right and far enough left - they meet at a place no sane person wants to be.

So true. Good choice on Yobama's and Jimbo's locations. Hmmm. This looks like something you did on a CAD program?
Not nearly that sophisticated, C.
About 15 minutes with PowerPoint saved to a JPEG.
A picture is worth a thousand words!
An interesting diagram. But is "The One" far enough out for accuracy? 'cause, he's a nut!

on of my favorite quotes from there...
"If you've gone too far to the left, or too far to the right....you've gone too far"
Good one BOW!
Who decides whether you are 'too far' in either direction? What criteria is used to determine that?
To some I am 'too far' right because I am opposed to abortion. Others think I am 'too far' left because I don't think violence is the solution to solving the abortion problem.
I decide. If you did not vote for me you are a scum bag who will get yours.
violence is the solution to any problem
I have to agree somewhat with eatme. Although not necessarily the best solution, it is a viable (sometimes leading to inviable) solution.
Good point Joey. Both sides have extremists who believe if you don't agree with them 100%, you're a traitor to the cause. But i do believe the left has far more of those than we do which explains why their voices are heard more than ours. Yet a recent poll found that 41% of Americans consider themselves to be conservative, while only 21% say they're liberal. One problem with this poll may be the fact that for some reason, many liberals will not admit to being liberal. Perhaps they can't deal with the shame.
looks like the old ABA basketball. a coincidence? I think not
If the traffic lights were synchronized, I wouldn't be sitting in traffic, at lights, pondering all the stupidy around me.

Joey, I think you already know the answer to that question. We all do. You have an internal gauge of right and wrong that tells you when you're right and wrong. Some call it conscience. I call it God. Whatever you call it, listen to it, and it will tell you what is right and wrong. You have to live according to your morality, desires, and beliefs. Stop giving a shit what other people think, or you'll simply be their pawn. Be yourself; your own man, and let the chips fall where they may.
Simple. I am in orbit around this sphere, trapped in its gravitational hold until I'm either ejected from its grasp or sucked into a collision
