http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/01/30/push-for-new-national-cemeteries-as-veteran-deaths-bring-sites-near-capacity/
Very interesting article to me, and one to which I am very grateful that someone is considering it. I haven't given much thought to the closest veteran's cemetary. So out of curiosity I found this VA website.
http://www.cem.va.gov/cems/listcem.asp
this lets you find veterans cemetery near you. I never knew how few there are in the west. This doesn't show the cemeteries run by the individual states.
what do you guys think? Is this worth spending tax dollars on? It's almost rhetorical, I think I know what everyone would say, but I am curious about your comments.
The biggest advantage I see to veteran cemeteries is that the veteran's spouse can be buried in the same plot. Now that our pensions are going to be cut, this might be the only way I can afford to die.

law suit after the fact?

Ok, here it goes.
A 16 year old gets a massive adrenaline push, which goes bad. Amazingly enough, the kid survives.
THEN the father says that he questions the rational of the company for allowing a 16 year old to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. Oh, and he jumped too.
As a pilot, I can't think of a good reason to exit a perfectly good airplane in flight....other then an incredible adrenaline rush. Of course I can't think of a good reason to sit in the back of an airplane at all (except airlines get excited when they find a non-employee in the cockpit)
The bottom line is that this seems to be a "family building" activity which the father took his daughter on. When it goes bad he starts questioning the company that allowed it? How about questioning himself. HE was the one who took her. HE was the one who paid for it. HE participated with her. HE was the one that gave approval since she was under 18.
At which point does HE take responsibility for placing his daughter in a high risk environment?
This reminds me of the guy who kept telling his wife to get closer to the bear at Yellowstone, then got upset when she got eaten.
On the up side, in about 3 hours the sun will come up. My little brother, the First Sergeant, is coming out to Bike Lake, and for the first time ever in a 20 year career, we will finally get to fly together. This is going to be awesome. That my dear Poots, is the best reason for flying a scooter....you can fly it single pilot.

Dr. Goebbels would be VERY Proud, yet again!
pro·pa·gan·da
noun \ˌprä-pə-ˈgan-də, ˌprō-\
:
ideas or statements that are often false or exaggerated and that are
spread in order to help a cause, a political leader, a government, etc.
That, according to Messrs Merriam and Webster, is the first definition, of the word propaganda. One of the problems that I have, with BOTH sides in America's current doomish downward slide, is that BOTH sides are ass deep in lies, half truths, exaggerations and in general, if their lips are moving, they're spreading bull shit.
In the mid to late 20th Century, the name Joseph Goebbles was synonymous with propaganda. He was also one of the authors of The Final Solution. He was a rabid anti-semitte and he spread the lie that the Jews were the 'problem' in the world. When Hitler took over Germany, Goebbels was right there, as his Minister of Propaganda, spreading whatever lies that were need to grab control of the country. In a radio speech in 1933 he said,
"We .. intend a principled transformation in the worldview of our entire society, a revolution of the greatest possible extent that will leave nothing out, changing the life of our nation in every regard ..."
I gotta tell you, that sounds a LOT like a 'fundamental change' in my book.
The Nazis consistently lied to the people of Germany, and then the occupied countries. Even as the Allies were pounding away at Berlin, they had the German radio station in Berlin, telling the people of Germany, that the Allies would be pushed out of Germany, and the Reich would win the war. No lie was too big.
So, let me ask you a question. If they lied then to further their agenda then, and it was propaganda and a BAD thing for the German people and the people in occupied countries, then why is it NOT propaganda or lying now to do the same thing, HERE?
Here's today's lie, and it's a whopper kids.
In a memo to clients provided to Secrets, David John Marotta calculates the actual unemployment rate of those not working at a sky-high 37.2 percent, not the 6.7 percent advertised by the Fed, and the Misery Index at over 14, not the 8 claimed by the government.
Marotta, who recently advised those worried about an imploding economy to get a gun, said that the government isn't being honest in how it calculates those out of the workforce or inflation, the two numbers used to get the Misery Index figure.
“The unemployment rate only describes people who are currently working or looking for work,” he said. That leaves out a ton more.
“Unemployment in its truest definition, meaning the portion of people who do not have any job, is 37.2 percent. This number obviously includes some people who are not or never plan to seek employment. But it does describe how many people are not able to, do not want to or cannot find a way to work. Policies that remove the barriers to employment, thus decreasing this number, are obviously beneficial,” he and colleague Megan Russell in their new investors note from their offices in Charlottesville, Va.
I'm not surprised at all. Given the number of people I know who are STILL out of jobs, there is no way the rate is the idiotically low rate being reported. But what pisses me off the most, isn't the lie from the current crop of Fascist leaders.
And Conservatives / Republicans are the new Jews, so all the Fascists need, is a tipping point. By working toward economic collapse, they may get there before the jackass in the WH is SUPPOSED to leave Office, which I still doubt he will do.
What pisses me off the most, is that the people, are huddled in their nice warm homes, thinking that this 'war' can still be won, by these fascists, even though they own it, run it, and get rich from the ruins. Meanwhile, the MSM is so enamored with the propaganda and so in love with Der Jugears, that they keep right on playing the lies and hate, while we're being economically bombed into submission BY the leaders that the MSM and majority of the voters trust.
It's insanity, pure and simple insanity, because once the end comes, there is no one to save us.

For this amount of $$$, they could get into PRIVATE Schools...
This principal runs a school of “no.”
Students at PS 106 in Far Rockaway, Queens, have gotten no math or reading and writing books for the rigorous Common Core curriculum, whistleblowers say.
The 234 kids get no gym or art classes. Instead, they watch movies every day.
“The kids have seen more movies than Siskel and Ebert,” a source said.
The school nurse has no office equipped with a sink, refrigerator or cot.
The library is a mess: “Nothing’s in order,” said a source. “It’s a junk room.”
No substitutes are hired when a teacher is absent — students are divvied up among other classes.
A classroom that includes learning-disabled kids doesn’t have the required special-ed co-teacher.
About 40 kindergartners have no room in the three-story brick building. They sit all day in dilapidated trailers that reek of “animal urine,” a parent said; rats and squirrels noisily scamper in the walls and ceiling.
PS 106 is allocated $2.9 million to serve a low-income population with 98 percent of its students eligible for free lunches. As a Title 1 school, it gets extra federal funds, but community members say they’ve never seen a budget tracking the income and spending..
In case you don't have your calculator ready, the Federal Funds ALONE come to almost $13K per student. Even in NYC that could pay for private schooling that MEANS something. And here's a question, WHERE is Al Sharpton on THIS?!
NYC pays $20K per student, so that school gets $33K per student. That should get them a very decent education, EVEN in NYC. So, where are the race baiters? Where's Jesse, where's Al, why ain't Oprah looking into dis may'n?!!? Dey be needin' he'p down dere may'n!!!
There must not be enough white, non-Lib handwringers on the NYC School Board for Al et al, to get involved. They get ZERO Race Points for saying BLACK and Minority School Board Members mistreated minority kids!

Too late for LAST Friday, too early for NEXT...
So, I get a phone call from my idiot brother who USED to work running the kitchen at an upscale burger place. He needs to borrow some money because he got fired last week.
"OK, I'll bite, but WHY did you get fired THIS time bruh?"
"...well", says he, "...a couple months ago we started getting complaints that the pickles we make for our burgers and sandwhiches, were squishy or soft.''
"HUH...wtf does THAT have to...", says I.
"Shut up and I'll tell you!", says he. "So, to make sure we didn't serve bad pickles, we put a pickle tester in the kitchen, and for the last 6 months, I've been dying to stick my...uh, my, well, um....".
"OK, I GET IT pervo, but why did you get fired!!??"
"...so the other night, I was the last one in the kitchen...well, it was me and the pickle tester, and just after I 'mounted', here comes the boss...so I got fired."
"Well, YUCK!!!! And remind ME not to eat there ever again dude! But what did they do with the now defiled pickle tester?", says I.
"Oh, they fired her too, we've got a date tomorrow night and THAT'S why I need to borrow some MONEY!!!"
That's when I hung up on him.

WWII Hero Passes Away
Not that I'm one of those re-writers of history, who thinks the Japanese were 'goaded' into attacking Pearl Harbor, or that they received two unjust attacks in August of 1945. I just thought it was worth mentioning, that a real WWII Hero has passed away.
How many of us, would have gone on for 29 years?
Hiroo Onoda, the last Japanese imperial soldier to emerge from hiding in a jungle in the Philippines and surrender, 29 years after the end of World War II, has died. He was 91.
Onoda died Thursday at a Tokyo hospital after a brief stay there. Chief government spokesman Yoshihide Suga on Friday expressed his condolences, praising Onoda for his strong will to live and indomitable spirit.
"After World War II, Mr. Onoda lived in the jungle for many years and when he returned to Japan, I felt that finally, the war was finished. That's how I felt," Suga said.
Onoda was an intelligence officer who came out of hiding, erect but emaciated, in fatigues patched many times over, on Lubang island in the Philippines in March 1974, on his 52nd birthday. He surrendered only when his former commander flew there to reverse his 1945 orders to stay behind and spy on American troops.
.
I remember this story from back then. There had been one or two others who had surrendered a few years before. But they had stayed in the jungle because they feared for their lives, NOT because they were still fighting.
I remember stories from then, saying Lt. Onoda had set pigs free, and he had turned over outhouses to cause trouble. He never gave up the fight, he just followed his last orders.
UPDATE: a few minutes later
I just read what I posted, and I've got a question about something, something I missed the 6 times I read this account. WHY does it say, ."...Japanese imperial soldier..."?
Shouldn't it read, "...Japanese Imperial Soldier...", with Imperial and Soldier being in caps too? That, according to my grade school training. It was the Japanese Empire, or the Empire of Japan, so ANY reference specifically about them, that entity, it should be capitolized. And beings it references a specific Soldier OF the Empire of Japan, the word soldier gets a cap too.
I guess they don't teach that shit any more. But if that's the case, how come every time some hand-wringing, MSM writer says American Imperial blah, blah, blah...or, Bush's push for an American Imperial corner stone, or some other nonsensical crap going back to the early 1960's and the war(s) in S.E. Asia?
I guess it's because the U.S. is evil, and the Japanese were goaded?

Saint
Peter is sitting at the Pearly Gates when two guys wearing dark hoodies
and sagging pants arrive. St. Peter looked out through the Gates and
said,
"Wait here. I'll be right back."
St. Peter goes over to God's chambers and tells him who is waiting for entrance. God says to Peter,
"How many times do I have to tell you? You can't be judgmental here. This is heaven. All are loved. All are brothers. Go back and let them in!"
St. Peter goes back to the Gates, looks around, and lets out a heavy sigh.
He returns to God's chambers and says,
"Well, they're gone."
"The guys wearing hoodies?" asked God.
"No. The Pearly Gates."

What F**king world do WE live in?!!
Let me say first and foremost
the FISA Court in my opinion, is an American Gestapo / KGB Control Office, they
just call it a court.
It's absolutely against the
Constitution to even HAVE the damned court. It violates between a third
and half of the Bill of Rights, depending on what they do to whom. AND.
it's completely and totally un-necessary. Most of the people being
checked out for terror reasons, by FISA and Congressional admittance, are NOT citizens.
So, even IF they live here on
a Green Card, they don't GET Bill of Rights Protections. If they are here
sans card..Pick them up, lock them up, send them HOME. It would be
cheaper to buy them plane tickets home, and have them delivered to American
Diplomats in Whereverthef**kland, and then turn them loose in the than it is to
have them here.
As to 'secretly' looking at
Americans under this Court, that shit is ILLEGAL. And evidently, there is
SOMEONE in the Congress who has suggested that, because the 'Judges' on the
FISA Court are pushing back. But you gotta see their attitude about that,
to see just how far down the Rabbit Hole we've fallen.
.
Speaking for the entire U.S. judiciary, U.S.
District Judge John D. Bates sent a letter to the Senate Intelligence
Committee saying that appointing an independent advocate to the secret
surveillance court is unnecessary and possibly counterproductive, and he
slammed other key reforms as adding too heavy a caseload to the secret court's
work. In FISA court hearings, judges only hear from the government seeking a
spy warrant.
.
So, he's a Judge,
he had to be a lawyer first, so he at least read law books, which, to me, would
mean that he's READ parts of the Constitution. Sadly, he seemingly missed
the 5th and 6th Amendments. And if he approves TAKING anything from the
accused's home or place of business, he missed the 4th Amendment TOO.
Sadder still, I
haven't heard ONE word about this in ANY of the MSM. Do the idiots OF the
media think they won't be investigated? Or are they SO sure that their
Lib buddies will stay in power perpetually, that they're 'safe'?

The Third Amendment to be Repealled
Or at least that's what some California residents are ASKING for. Mark Dice reels in more of the most numerous fish in Cali, the Infamous Stupidfish!!!
Illustrating once again how many Americans’ knowledge of the Bill of Rights is virtually non-existent, Californians signed a petition to repeal the Third Amendment and allow U.S. troops to commandeer their homes.
Dice managed to persuade several passers by to sign their names up for scrapping the Third Amendment, which states “No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.”
Two other young women simply agreed with everything Dice said even though most of it was nonsense. “They should be able to come into your house and they can quarter there forever if they want to.” Dice stated, as the women both replied “oh yeah definitely” and “I agree”.
Other people didn’t seem to understand what the term “Third Amendment” even meant.
Dice has now successfully managed to get Americans to agree to repeal the First, Second, Third, Fourth , Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Amendments, as well as the entire Bill Of Rights.
.
I know it's SoCal, but it's still SO sad that these idiots can and DO vote.

Is Chris Christie being "Cained"?
Now, right from the 'get go', let me say, I am NOT a Christie guy. However, many Republicans love the guy. Having said that, it seems that although he was the (R) Darling of the the Leftist Media for hugging Obumble post Sandy, the closer we get to Mid-Terms, the more shit the MslimeM talks, prints, SPINS about him.
But lets look at HOW the media does things.
Over the last 5 years, various and sundry events have happened on Obama's watch. Including the death of the Ambassador in Libya, and the ObamaCare internet debacle. Regardless of the severity of the event, the media NEVER goes after Obama for his involvement or lack thereof. And they've NEVER gone after him for the Billions of $$$ he's spent nor over the fact that we've gone 5 years with NO Federal Budget.
They go after the Aids, lower level Cabinet Appointees and even lifelong gub'ment employees.
Since the whole BridgeGate thing started, I've heard Christie accused of everything from orchestrating the bridge shut down, to placing the barricades himself, to malfeasance of office for NOT knowing, to animal cruelty and child porn. Now he's under investigation for 'misuse' of Federal Funds meant for Disaster Relief.
Feds investigating Christie's use of Sandy relief funds.
Just days after dismissing two top advisers for their roles in the George Washington Bridge scandal, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is facing questions over the use of Superstorm Sandy relief funds.

CNN has learned that
federal officials are investigating whether Christie improperly used
those relief funds to produce tourism ads that starred him and his
family.
The news couldn't come at a worse time for the scandal-plagued Republican, who is facing two probes
into whether his staff tied up traffic near the country's busiest
bridge to punish a Democratic mayor who refused to endorse his
successful re-election bid.
So, he used the money, to help the businesses on the Shore, by making a video, saying the Shore WAS running, post Sandy? HOOOOOW is that 'misuse'? Why is it misuse of funding to try to get the word out that bus9nesses are OPEN, in an area where the WORLD thought was closed misuse, but taking 50 or 60 of your 'closest' friends to Europe is just f**king fine!?
Anybody else ready for a good, old fashioned lynching / revolution?
