If i were one of the lying crooks in govt., the question i would be asking myself is, is there no limit to the amount of abuse the people will tolerate. The answer seems to be, apparently not...
best 6 months
so , I give George Bush 100% credit for this.
He was President for 3 1/2 of the 6
Obama was for 2 1/2 of the 6
But Obama said that it would take months if not years for Bush's polices to stop affecting the market.
So I say - George Bush gets 100% of the credit
What say you?
O.K. So you have some warranty work done on your GM or Chrysler. Sounds innocent enough, right? Next thing you know the government is telling you, "Wait! You can't do that (e.g.: hiring straight employees)! You have accepted government money so therefor you are subject to our rules." (e.g. You must hire some gay employees.) The government continues to use the economic crisis as a means of increasing its power.

Environmentalists hail Earth Hour as a big success
Is this really what our Founding Fathers had in mind? Was it their intention that the people be treated as oxen, with no real voice in anything? Oh sure, we can bitch and moan and blog all we want, but do our rulers really listen, or even care unless it's an election year? Or, (as i believe) do we find ourselves mired in quicksand, not because of the lying crooks we have put in power, but because of the mindless American people who allow themselves to be manipulated. It becomes more clear each day that it really doesn't matter which party is in power, since they're both equally disastrous for this country and it's people. When you look at election results, and you see how tolerant the people are of their elected officials, the question for me becomes, do the people deserve any better, for if they did, would they not demand it?

Freedom Tower Name Change Slammed as Unpatriotic
Saturday, March 28, 2009
NEW YORK — Even without the name, the symbolism of the Freedom Tower as an American response to the Sept. 11 terror attacks was hard to miss.
The original architect designed a twisting form he wanted to imitate the Statue of Liberty, with a spire that rose to the deliberate height of 1,776 feet to recognize the year of American independence. Politicians called the tower proof of the country's triumph over terrorism.
Former Gov. George Pataki said visitors to the iconic skyscraper "will know our determination to overcome evil" in a 2003 speech that first gave the Freedom Tower its name.
The tower — still under construction with a projected completion date of 2013 — no longer has the same architect, design or footprint on the 16-acre site. And this week, the owners of ground zero publicly parted ways with the Freedom Tower name, saying it would be more practical to market the tallest building in New York as the former north tower's name, One World Trade Center.
Fly your plane into this story.
You will read a lot of excuses – but the real reason for the name change is obvious: If they use the ‘Freedom Tower’ name it might piss-off radical muslims and make the building a target. In other words – terrorism wins the day.
Look for the new building to be topped with a crescent moon & star, oriented toward mecca.

Read about the racist Brazilian here.
A question and a comment:
Zimbabwe is a wonderful example of the outcome of the eradication of "white people": Economic collapse, rampant disease, and starvation.
Mr. Silva - go do yourself, you ignorant racist jerk.
I'm heading out for a weekend with my younger brothers, so I'll have to wait to see what the outcome of this is. But here's the question. Is Mandatory Federal Service a good idea or a bad idea?
I'm a boomer, born in 1954, I turned 18 in 1972, I was a 19 year old high school drop-out in 1973. Luckily for me, the draft ended in 1972. There was a VERY active military draft going on until 1972, most of us know that the U.S. was heavily embroiled in Viet Nam then. So getting drafted had dire consequences for some, and I know guys who got drafted.
That's MY background.
I have always thought that some sort of Mandatory Federal Service for all able bodied Americans between the ages of 18 (or some date after HS graduation) and 30 years old, should be REQUIRED. I do not think that it should be military service, everyone is not cut out for the military. But, there are thousands of schools, hospitals, parks, roadways, etc that could be tended or cared for by American youth. I think it would get people involved in our country and it would get some of these "ME, ME, ME" people off their asses and make them see that there is NO such concept or reality in a truly free country.
I don't think that such service should be JUST working for ACORN, the ACLU or such liberal organizations. If ACORN is OK, so should be the NRA. If people are "artistic", let them work at a museum, if they are good with their hands, let them build houses, or help the elderly hang a new door.
There are too many examples of "need" in our country to mention.
What brings this up, is House Bill, HR 1388: The Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act.
I had a long and loud conversation with my youngest brother about this today. He's a good conservative voter and supporter. But I think, that he thinks, as do many people, that going to the Post Office and signing up for Selective Service IS volunteering. He grew up in a time where "mandatory federal service" was a BAD thing, because it meant going to Nam. But being outside the window of that time, he turned 18 in 1978, he doesn't see that time with the same view that I do.
Planting trees in Yosemite, or teaching reading to 2nd Graders to pay off your time of Federal Service NOW seems to pale, against humping the boonies in SE Asia, or Korea, or the South Pacific, or Europe, THEN, whenever THEN is. At least to me it does. And I'm not a Nam vet, but many of my friends were, and so were many of the guys I was in the Navy with. I'd bet they'd plant the trees.
I could be wrong here, but I believe what I believe. My question is, what do YOU, my friends, think of the concept?
Schteveo is going to be POE-LUTE-ED in 24 hrs.
I seem to remember this idea floating around here a while ago. I'm actually kinda surprised that it passed (at least partway) in places.

Guns to Work Bill Passes
A controversial bill that would allow Texans to bring guns and ammunition to work in their cars, even if their bosses said no, was unanimously approved today by the Texas Senate.
Guns and shells would have to be kept out of sight in a locked car.
“Ten states have passed laws like this … and there have not been any problems,” said state Sen. Glenn Hegar, R-Katy, the author of the measure. “This is designed to stop employers from punishing employees who legally bring weapons to work in their cars.”
Senate Bill 730 was opposed by business groups, who cautioned that with a growing number of Texas workers getting laid off, some might start shooting if they had a gun stowed in their car.
Gun-advocacy groups and other proponents said that as crime grows with the deepening recession, they need a pistol to make it safely to and from work.
Pull my trigger.
If the truth be known - Texans have always "taken their guns to work" - but now they can do it legally.
But I doubt he could hold his nose to do it.
The following is a letter sent on Tuesday by Jake DeSantis, an executive vice president of the American International Group’s financial products unit, to Edward M. Liddy, the chief executive of A.I.G.
DEAR Mr. Liddy,
It is with deep regret that I submit my notice of resignation from A.I.G. Financial Products. I hope you take the time to read this entire letter. Before describing the details of my decision, I want to offer some context:
I am proud of everything I have done for the commodity and equity divisions of A.I.G.-F.P. I was in no way involved in — or responsible for — the credit default swap transactions that have hamstrung A.I.G. Nor were more than a handful of the 400 current employees of A.I.G.-F.P. Most of those responsible have left the company and have conspicuously escaped the public outrage.
He makes good points, especially about the REALLY guilty rats having left the ship already.
I can't think of a better way to spend £30,000. But then again I'm not trying very hard.

If you flood a country with enough foreigners, especially a liberal and tolerant country that doesn't pay attention until after the fact, they soon start to take over. Remember the story last year (i don't recall the city) about the Mooselamb cab drivers at a US airport "demanding" a separate restroom for Mooselamb men only so they could wash their feet? And, they got it! This is happening in many countries. There are now sections of Britain where Sharia Law is in force, "and the British government accepts it"! There are cities in the US that are almost 100% Mooselamb!
And the next step in their plan? Political power, of course. If your people control a huge section of a city, or the entire city, who do you think will get elected to public office in that area? The Mexicans have done it throughout the southern US. This is not some hypothetical problem. It's real. Very real, and it's happening here too!

Barney, who apparently thinks the people have forgotten that he, and his young boyfriend, were running a whore house for young, male prostitutes from his tax payer-funded DC apartment, is still the most arrogant and obnoxious member of congress. Of course, Barney, who would never think of blowing (oops) the whistle on his equally guilty fellow elected crooks, like Dodd and Shummer, still acts like the mess is everybody else's fault.
Hey Barney, while that male prostitution scandal did manage to somehow "evaporate" into thin air, there are many of us who still remember.
But now we have a new useless voting scenario. It seem Stephen Colbert found out about NASA's website where people could vote on a name for NASA's new space station room. And asked his viewers to write in his name instead of voting for the given options. He won. Really, 230,539 votes isn't that many when compared to the population of the US. And the whole thing is really a moot point, because the vote isn't binding. But it is kinda funny.
There are 40 million Americans over 50 in the US. Give each of us $1 million each with the following stipulations:
1. You must quit your job. Therefore, 40 million jobs are created. Unemployment solved!
2. You must buy a new car. Therefore, 40 million new cars sold. Auto industry problem solved!
3. You must buy a new house or pay off your mortgage. Housing industry problem solved!
For $40 billion we could be out of this mess and on an upward trend again. Much less money than has already been spent with virtually no results and the effects of this “stimulus” package would be felt almost as soon as the checks went out. I like this idea and I believe this would go a long way to solving our problems. If you agree, write your elected crook...
1. They don't have a clue as to what they're doing, and they know it. Worse yet, they know the people are starting to realize it too.
2. Congress knows, as the mindless voters are starting to realize, that they were one of the main reasons this all happened, in spite of the fact that the MSM is doing everything it can to keep that part of the story off the front pages.
3. Congressional elections are just around the corner. If they can't feed the voters as much Kool-Aid as Obummer has, (and still is) they're as good as unemployed! The American voters are dumb, but they're also scared and pissed, and they're looking for a target.
Now the question is, between now and election time, will the voters remember? The majority of Americans are noted for having an attention span that only lasts until the next commercial, and no one knows that better than the lying crooks in DC, and the MSM. Will they be able to pull it off, again?

Is it just me, or does that sound a whole lot like the economic plan president Obongo is pushing? Could it be that yo president has yet another mentor we don't know about?
Sugar, the nutritional pariah that dentists and dietitians have long reviled, is enjoying a second act, dressed up as a natural, healthful ingredient.
The turnaround comes after three decades during which high-fructose corn syrup had been gaining on sugar in the American diet. Consumption of the two finally drew even in 2003, according to the Department of Agriculture. Recently, though, the trend has reversed. Per capita, American adults ate about 44 pounds of sugar in 2007, compared with about 40 pounds of high-fructose corn syrup.
“Sugar was the old devil, and high-fructose corn syrup is the new devil,” said Marcia Mogelonsky, a senior analyst at Mintel International, a market-research company.
I'm all for it. Our rising obesity rates and corn syrup in our foods go hand in hand. And if you can find "Jone's Sodas", try them, they taste like soft drinks used to. I'm not a bog soft drink person, but they harken back to my youth.
to the tune of $1 trillion dollars. Didn't they just print $1.2 trillion last week to buy government bonds? Not to mention that BOHICA (sorry Steve... I did it again) is on a campaign to convince us that his $3.2 trillion budget is a good idea. Even if the Republicans and half the Democrats think its too much and force Obama to reduce it, we're all in deep doo doo boys and girls. Printing a trillion dollars is becoming a weekly thing, if not a daily thing. Wholesale inflation is next.

Remember way back last OCTOBER, when a vote for John McCain was a vote for the continued policies of George W. Bush? And of course the policies included throttling free speech.
Personally, I don't actually remember the events of Bushitler's individual assualts on our freedoms, I just remember the accusations. If memory serves, it is the Democrats who are always pushing the idea of eliminating words, or ideas through PCascist policies. Well, here we go again.
The Obama White House has closed the press award ceremony to the press.
So much for openess and transparency.

We should all know the Left will not simply take last years SCOTUS decision sitting down, especially since they've been trying to disarm law-abiding citizens for decades. Already, the DC city council has drafted a bill that would virtually reinstitute their total gun ban. They're hoping to find a way around the SCOTUS decision. They will not give up. They will not stop trying. And if the American people respond to this attack on our rights, the way they respond to everything else, we can kiss our guns goodbye!
I can just hear it now, President Amadickohead to Obama: "Mr. President, We promise not to bomb Israel. Cross our hearts." while thinking: "You stupid fool. We will nuke Israel in the middle of the night while your are asleep." I'm guessing BOHICA will take them at their word and not even require U.N. inspections.
"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the rich out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply the wealth by dividing it."
But then, we all (except HLF) already knew that.
IRONY ALERT is set to ORANGE!!!
Today is the first day of Spring. To the uninitiated, that means our annual bout of global warming is about to occur. I predict, with scientific records as my basis, that short term global warming will ramp up sharply, and reach a peak in late July to mid-August. Then, it will turn back and get cold again. That's my global warming update. Personally, I think the whole other kind of global warming is bunk.
But what if you are a scientist? A person dedicated to saving the Earth from the ravages of mankind? Or better still, part of a team of scientists trying to find absolute proof that global warming exists. Then you could find a solution, right?
Well, you might be able to find that proof, if only you weren't stuck near the North Pole, low on supplies, freezing your ass off with no help in sight because of the weather being TOO COLD!!!!
Three global warming researchers stranded in the North Pole.
I don't want to see anyone hurt, but global warming alarmists, trapped at the North Pole, by cold weather, is just too, damn, funny.

It seems that big boats that go too fast could (though it has never happened) hit a whale, and invasive species could spread (although those same species could hitch a ride on the 20+ daily airline flights.) Bottom line: Save the Whales.
FYI - the favorable ruling for the environazis is due to the EIS (Environmental Impact Statement) which as been ruled invalid on several loophole counts; like not enough environmental interest groups made money in the making thereof.
With the economy in the pit the liberals pushed it into - it's a pretty bad time to be losing a job. My heart goes out to those who will work their last day tomorrow. Surely the kind-hearted, tolerant, socialist liberals will take care of them, huh? No. As with everything else, the burden will fall on hard-working, tax-paying, charitable conservatives.
On a similar note - a mere 4 thousand miles north of my present local; oil-field service companies are beginning layoffs. According to those Alaskans I correspond with regularly, 'big oil' is beginning to cut back because they are anticipating that under the current administration and congress, 'profit equals loss' in the total scheme of things; if they make a profit, in the end regulations/taxes will take 110% - so they no longer plan on profits. Yet more jobs lost due to socialist-liberal ideology. (Watch for gas prices to begin skyrocketing again by the end of this year - thanks to... socialist liberals.) If you have Exxon stock, sell it. Of course that will add to the market crash (thanks to socialist liberals).
Life goes on? We shall see.
It should be quite clear to just about everyone by now that yo new president, and those behind him, the one's that actually pull his strings, are dedicated to turning our country into a European socialist system. As is usually the case with leftists, they see socialism, Marxism, and Communism, as "the answer" to all our problems. The fact that those systems have never worked, anywhere, means nothing to those who desire it. And, since the EU is the model they mean to copy, this article may give us a glimpse as to where we're heading. Yes, i'm aware that we're already drowning in PC, but this article shows us just how far it can go, and how truly dangerous it is...

He has time to pick the Final Four, and has time to party for St. Patrick's Day.... and that's just today. But he's too busy to go to the Gridiron’s annual banquet and too busy to devote time to an agenda for dealing with foreign allies, among other things. And now his apparent inability to block executive bonuses at insurance giant AIG has dealt a sharp blow to his young administration and is threatening to derail both public and congressional support for his ambitious political agenda. To h*ll with his time and his ambitious political agenda.

If the details in this story are true, and right now, (and especially in light of the above) i have no basis to disbelieve it, this is some scary stuff. If there is an "unofficial" effort underway to compile some type of database on people who are seen as a threat simply because of their political beliefs, or perhaps, because of their dissatisfaction with our out-of-control government, then this is something that needs to be brought out into the sunlight, ASAP! And since the govt.'s in the hands of the Left, i wouldn't count on the MSM to bring it out. Information like this, especially in the hands of the left-wing liars and spin doctors, could be used as a basis for all kinds of regulations and laws. The most obvious being gun control. As we know, there are people in Obomber's administration who are "actively" looking for ways to turn the 2nd Amendment around, if not do away with it all together. This could be the perfect vehicle for them to use.
As usual, groups like Code-Pink, LaRaza, ACORN, the ACLU, and other radical Left-wing groups appear to be immune. Gee, what a surprise...

Which States offer the most personal freedom?
The study was conducted by Jason Sorens of the University of Buffalo and William P. Ruger of Texas State, and released through the Mercatus Center at George Mason University.
1. New Hampshire
3. South Dakota
10. North Dakota
48. Rhode Island
49. New Jersey
50. New York
There you have it boys & girls – Liberal enclaves offer the least personal freedom. Of course, we KNEW that.
All of this has happened since Obama was sworn in.
the bad guys are taking advantage of Obama's campaign promise to "talk to them"
They keep pushing us to see when they will get a reaction from Obama
so far Obama (& our new Sec of State) have failed the test.........
Some honest journalists, (a rare bird indeed) are starting to let the public see the wide cracks that are becoming more visible in the Obomber administration. And, according to this story, even some of the die hard Kool-Aid drinkers of the Left are starting to have second, and maybe 3rd thoughts about the dumb choice they made. Perhaps they're starting to realize they picked a young, totally inexperienced nobody, a neighborhood activist, and Marxist dupe, to lead this nation, and to lead it in a time of not just a war, but two wars! As i've always said, there's nothing that can turn a liberal into a conservative faster than reality!

If you were to enter someones home illegally, sit down, settle in, and take over, and noticed that instead of getting a chest-full of OO-buck from a 12 ga., you were welcomed by the home owners who went out of their way to make you comfortable, what incentive would you have to leave? In fact, you would tell your friends not yet here to "come on down"! come'on there Leftard - tell us that Bush is to blame for Obama's numbers falling faster than the stock market
I like Jon Stewart, I loathe Jim Cramer, and for days they've been sparring. Stewart went after Cramer saying he'd given BAD stock tips. Bad is an understatement!!
Two weeks before Bears Sterns went breasts skyward, Cramer was touting them as a buy, buy, buy, they're going to turn around, make a ton-a-money, stock. How'd that work out?
Regardless of what you think of either man, Stewart is knowledgeable on pop culture and politics, and has a degree in psychology. He's funny, most nights, and knows his guests well before they appear. On many occasions I've seen Stewart admit that he didn't know his interviwees field of expertise well. He'd then ask good questions, mixing it with humor. Often times his slant on the news and politics is dead on. Last night he was dead on Cramer like a cruise missile on a Taliban Training Base.
Cramer on the other hand is a guy who tries to mix 60's AM radio DJ hijinks and sound efx, with the Dow-Jones Average. He has a journalism degree, a law degree and used to run a hedge fund. His TV show is mostly him expounding on how smart he is. (how much Bear Sterns did HE buy?) Even after Stewart started hammering him over stock tips like the Stearns thing, Cramer defended himself, often saying how much more he knew about markets than does Stewart. Last night he looked like a kid with his hand caught in a cookie jar.
On last nights "The Daily Show", Cramer was Jon Stewarts guest, and he laid Cramer out, plain and simple. It's a definite watch from two stand points. First, Stewart was excellent as the guy showing how some stock analysts are like any other gamblers. Second it showed just how little defense those analysts have for the bad picks they make.
And NEVER forget, something I think Stewart should have mentioned, the stock analysts, traders, fund managers make money REGARDLESS of whether you buy, sell, win or lose.
Las Vegas has the same deal to offer you. They run the game, the odds are long and it's about their profits first. Only, they're honest in Vegas. They'll tell you they're counting profits per heads coming in the door, just like Wal-Mart. And in Vegas, except the slots, you have some control over the games and you can hold the cards.

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
Knowing when to come in out of the rain; Why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason. He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers:
I Know My Rights
I Want It Now

I'm sorry to inform you that I'm not going to be able to pay the taxes owed on April 15th, but all is not lost. I paid these taxes, accounts receivable tax, building permit tax, CDL tax, corporate income tax, dog license tax, federal income tax, unemployment tax, gas tax, hunting license tax, fishing license tax, waterfowl stamp tax, inheritance tax, inventory tax, liquor tax, luxury tax, Medicare tax, city tax, school and county property tax up to 33% the last four years. Real estate tax, Social Security tax, road use tax, toll road tax, state and city sales tax, recreational vehicle tax, sales franchise tax, state unemployment tax, federal excise tax, telephone tax, telephone federal state and local surcharge tax, telephone minimum usage surcharge tax, telephone state and local tax, utility tax, vehicle tax, registration tax, capital gains tax, lease severance tax, oil and gas assessment tax, Colorado property tax, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Mexico sales tax and many more I can't recall and I've run out of space and money. When you do not receive my check April 15th, just know that it was an honest mistake. Please treat me the same as the way you've treated Congressman Charlie Rangel, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, ex-congressman Tom Daschle and, of course, your boss, Timothy Geithner. No penalties, no interest.
PS, I'll make at least a partial payment as soon as I get my stimulus check.

God bless you, Ed. I mean, you're going to jail, but God bless you. The only reason why you're going to jail is because you don't control anything anymore. They control you. They don't answer to anybody. You answer to them. - Glenn Beck
April 15 is bearing down upon us. This letter is a nice thought but it seems we have 3 choices: Bend Over because Here It Comes Again, go to jail, or quit being a contributing member to society... And it will only get worse.

UPDATE: After some thought I changed that Header. I can't imagine that President BOHICA is through on his campaign of reneging on campaign promises.
One of the reasons the The One got elected was the undying support of the Teachers Union. The folks over there have been supporting the Dems for-ev-er. Well, not to leave anyone out of his Post Election About-Face Club, President BOHICA today announced that he's FOR both Teacher Merit Pay and School Vouchers.
President Barack Obama called for tying teachers' pay to students' performance and expanding innovative charter schools Tuesday, embracing ideas that have provoked hostility from members of teachers unions. He also suggested longer school days—and years—to help America's kids compete in the world.
In his first big speech on education, Obama said the United States must drastically improve student achievement to regain lost international standing.
"The future belongs to the nation that best educates its citizens," he said. "We have everything we need to be that nation ... and yet, despite resources that are unmatched anywhere in the world, we have let our grades slip, our schools crumble, our teacher quality fall short and other nations outpace us."
His solutions include teacher pay and charter school proposals that have met resistance among members of teachers unions, which constitute an important segment of the Democratic Party.
Despite their history on the issues, union leaders publicly welcomed Obama's words, saying it seems clear he wants to include them in his decisions in a way President George W. Bush did not.
"We finally have an education president," said Randi Weingarten, president of the 1.4 million-member American Federation of Teachers.
That had to frost them, huh? Well, maybe not given how they've answered this.
This guy could crap on their rugs, steal their cars and sleep with their teen-aged daughters, and they, his supporters, say NOTHING. I'd like to be a fly on the wall of the Randi Weingarten's office tonight.
Schteveo likes to see "them" go under the bus
Maybe Yomama should just walk into any Post Office and take the wanted posters off the wall. Just think of all the time he and his staff could save.
Since then I've had even very Conservative friends misquote him, and question if hoping for failure is right for the country. Why are they wondering? Because they didn't hear the original Limbaugh show, they've ONLY heard the misquote. But in typical fashion, NO ONE has called the MSM, or lying Democrats, on the continued misquote.
Pelosi, Reid, BOHICA mouth pieces, et. al. have had ample face time to repeat the misquote. Not one Conservative has come out to attempt to set the record straight that I've seen or heard. Not even the talking heads at, supposedly Fair and Balanced, FOX has taken the liars to task over it.
The party line is that IF the Conservatives, Libertarians and non-liberals start being out front, telling the truth, calling the Dems and MSM on their lies, then the Conservatives, Libertarians or non-liberals will get no air time, no magazine or newspaper coverage. First, I don't believe that, it's too simplistic a view given the access we have to news now. Here's what the Conservatives, Libertarians, and non-liberals need to do, call a news conference to say,
"Starting today, we're going to call the Liberal Democrats on their lies. And if the MSM refuses to cover us and the TRUTH, well that's FINE. We'll just use C-Span in both houses of Congress, and the internet, to set the record straight.
If, after this news conference, you stop covering ANY of us because of this stand, be aware, eventually your viewers and readers will wonder WHY you've got no stories or quotes from us. Your Conservatives, Libertarians and non-liberal customers will question your non-coverage immediately. At some point even the liberal viewers and readers will begin to ask why the Conservatives, Libertarians, and non-liberals have disappeared from coverage. They'll want coverage of us in the media too, they'll demand coverage so as to be informed about our country and our government.
If after this news conference, you cease to cover us it's your right. There is no law that makes you cover us, or the Conservatives, Libertarians or non-liberal views of issues.
But be notified, in the future and at the point where you begin to cover us again, after the demands come in from your readers and viewers, we'll throw YOU under the bus along with the Liberal Democrats who have lied. No quarter will be given to MSM outlets that print lies and half truths or who try to silence us through non-coverage. Starting today, we demand equal, and truthful, coverage in American MSM.
So cover us NOW or cover us LATER, but starting today, we go on the offensive against lies and half truths, regardless of where they originate. Thank You."
It won't happen, but I'd cheer if it did. If their fear is that standing up to the MSM will get them bumped from the media, so what? They don't use the media to get any message out or get the TRUTH out anyway. Where's the loss in them getting NO coverage in the MSM, to do NOTHING anyway?

I guess this is one way to get the illegals to vote democrat
The problem is, in the case of the student driver at the 500, only that student is likely to get killed, with some gorgeous cars getting creamed. With Yobama, it's our country, it's people, and it's future, that are at stake.

Well friends, we bring ourselves to Uncle Schteveo's LEAST favorite month of the Year. March. I know, I know, technically I'm late on getting to my hate for March. I gave it a chance, but it caught up with me again this year. Actually, it caught up with me this morning, at 2:00 A.M. , no make that 1:00 A.M. But why hate a month? Two reasons. Daylight Savings Time, and [visible shudder] Basketball.
I hate DST. It's a ridiculous concept. It's predicated on the idiot concept that losing an hour NOW, then gaining it back in OCTOBER, is easier than just getting your lazy ass out of bed earlier during the longer days of the year, if you want more daylight working hours.
In all the years I worked, from paper routes as a lad, to international field service as an adult, I had one 9 to 5 job in my life. It lasted all of 8 months in a 40 year working career.
I've worked every kind of early, late, swing, mid, crazy shift ever invented. The best shift I ever had was a 5 month stint where I had NO field service calls, but got paid anyway. It sucked really. The worst, but highest paid shift, was in 1982. I worked from 7 A.M on a Tuesday morning, until 1 A.M. on Friday morning, straight thru, with a couple naps during a co-gen outage in the oil patch outside Bakersfield. With O.T., it was a $1300 "day".
But in all that time, all those years, no one ever adjusted the clock to make my life easier. My bosses expected me to be there, regardless of when I actually wanted to go to bed and get up.
A system I think the country should return to. Adjust your own time, not everyone elses.
Basketball is a team sport in which two teams of five active players each try to score points against one another by propelling a ball through a 10 feet (3 m) high hoop (the goal) under organized rules. Basketball is one of the most popular and widely viewed sports in the world.
In early December 1891, Dr. James Naismith, a Canadian physical education professor from McGill University of Montréal and instructor at YMCA Training School(today, Springfield College) in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA, sought a vigorous indoor game to keep his students occupied and at proper levels of fitness during the long New England winters.
That is the original, classic definition and history. What follows is the 21st Century truth.
Basketball is a, SUPPOSED, team sport in which INDIVIDUALS each try to score points against one another, regardless of being teammates, by propelling a ball through a 10 feet high hoop while wearing Diamond Earrings the size of which would make Jackie O blush. Thousands of dollars worth of Tattoos and brands are mandatory, even among the un-paid college players. The sometimes enforced rules are a joke, no blood, no foul, especially if you play in Chicago. Basketball is one of the most popular (African-American) sports and although no longer widely viewed, according to those Neilsen people, it continues to take over entertainment and the MSM for 5 weeks every spring in America. Rioting is optional, but is to be expected directly following any win, by any team, anywhere, any time. Race of rioters is unknown, or unreported anyway.
This coverage, of the games not the rioting, will undoubtedly get worse beings THE ONE is a fan. Part of the Stimulus Plan is to issue each of us a foam finger. I can only hope that I get to pick which finger protrudes.
Most modern players of "bastet'bah", never heard of Dr. James Naismith.
Isn't he also that guitar guy from "The Monkees"?
The "playahs" assume that the sport was created as a platform for them to get laid, be thugs and have 27 children, most born out of wedlock. This is of course started while they're still in Junior High School. Amazingly, and in spite of it being a vigorous indoor game, with proper levels of fitness required, the college and pro game are mostly controlled, and reported on by un-tanned, middle-aged, white guys, most of whom, have never played, thugged, or whored.
But they wanted to!! Especially that last part.
Scheteveo wants his hour back.

For most of us, it is way too early to assess President Barack Obama's performance in office. But not so on Wall Street, where investors are voting with their wallets.
Since Obama took office on Jan. 20, the Dow Jones Industrial Average has dropped a heart-stopping 20 percent. That is not exactly a ringing declaration of confidence, either in Obama's leadership or ability or in the likelihood that his policies will help pull the country out of the recession.
No wonder many Obama supporters are desperately trying to label the current economic crisis as the Bush recession, as if Obama hasn't contributed in any way to our plight. After all, they say, the president has only been in office a short time. Of course, that doesn't stop Obama supporters from crediting him for what they think he is doing right. Obama himself recently tried to play down the significance of the Dow plunge by comparing stock averages to public opinion polls, since they both go up and down.
That sort of rhetoric might satisfy the hyperpartisans in the Democratic Party, but it's just not accurate or fair. Clearly, the market is trying to tell us something with its sell-off, and the message could be that Obama needs to concentrate on fixing the economy and stop trying to fix every one of the country's problems at once.
Especially when the administration is short-handed. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner hasn't had any top deputies confirmed by the Senate, and two candidates for top Treasury Department jobs, Annette Nazareth and Caroline Atkinson, this week abruptly withdrew their names from consideration.
Add to this lingering questions about whether the Obama administration will soon push through another banking bailout, and some oddsmakers on Wall Street already are betting that Geithner could join the ranks of the unemployed by year's end. That is never a good sign.

Heading Corrected per BOW's catch, his math is better than mine.
50,000, out of NYC's total 8 MILLION residents marched through that beautiful metropolis today to protest budget cuts headed their way from Albany.
To put this into perspective, I ran the numbers, so my peanut brain could fathom how small 0.00625% is. Because 50,00 people IS a big number. Or is it? 0.00625 of the population is as follows,
my current home Raleigh - 2375
my hometown Louisville - 7500
my old residences not in order
Garner NC - 156
Lemon Grove CA - 157
Waukegan - 575
Not very big numbers when weighed against the population of STATES!! Unless you live in friggin Montana or Alaska. But it gets better, the protesters think that Robin Hood had it right!
Protestors insisted Thursday that there's a better way. They're asking for what they call "fair tax reform" -- raising state taxes for New Yorkers making $250,000 or more on top of the president's proposed hikes.
It never occurs to people like this that those making the "fair tax" amount will just move to a better tax state.
I'm so glad my parents left L.I. before I was born. I could have been a brain dead idiot too!!
Schteveo can do the math
you think they would make this a priority
but then you realize that Obama doesn't care if the economy recovers as long as he can implement his socialist polices

Well, Terrell Owens is gone from the Cowboys. Not that I care about the particulars. This is a continuation of my "Schteveo's Big List of People Who should be Banned from Pro Sports" editorials.
This is yet another time when the teams should opt for a man of lesser ability who is a team player. What good is a guy who is about JUST his own position or his own stats? He's worth zero, zip, nada to the 49ers, the Eagles and now the Cowboys.
Personally I could live well for the rest of my life on half his signing bonus from last year. So if he never plays again, which is my hope, I won't care.
UPDATE 18:00 EST
I was wrong about Albert Haynesworth
the Anti-thug / Anti-jackass
Sanjay Gupta is removing his name from consideration of the Surgeon General's job.
JEEZ, how much back tax did this guy owe!? I mean those other guys owed tens of thousands and they stayed! Or, I'll bet he had a legal, white, hetero-male, taking care of his kids, with all his employment taxes, back pay, over-time, and benefits package in order.
He would have been ostracized at AlL the WH functions and it would suck being the odd-man-out.

Mao had the War Lords, Lenin had the Czar, and so it goes. Every totalitarian has to have a "bad guy" to demonize before the masses. Something for them to hate and blame for their suffering.
The new White House has chosen Rush Limbaugh as their "bad guy".
And according to the AP, he's perfect as the Wicked Witch to BOHICA's Dorothy. I'm not really sure how Rush is responsible for the stock market drop, or the mortgage thing, or jobs. I get the whole "damn those evil Jews" controlling Germany's money, but this...?
Top Democrats believe they have struck political gold by depicting Rush Limbaugh as the new face of the Republican Party, a full-scale effort first hatched by some of the most familiar names in politics and now being guided in part from inside the White House.
They've decided to portray him as the defacto head of the Republican Party. He's the new Jim Taylor, except Taylor was a behind the scenes guy. Rush is in their face, and on my radio daily. It's laughable because THEY think they have HIM. I don't see this ending well.
Now I'm an old snake hunter, I used to do it as a boy in Florida. I was young and dumb and thought I was invincible.
I've hunted rattlesnakes in the St. John's River in Jacksonville. I've hunted less dangerous snakes around there. And sometimes snapping turtles down there too. There's one thing I learned.
When you grab a big, poisonous, twisting, snapping animal, it's a struggle as to just who has the upper hand. You might have the head, but the tail will wrap around and slap at you. If you drop the head and hold the tail, the snake mostly tries to get away, but he can spin around and strike quickly. Turtles are as bad. It might pull it's head back in the shell, bit it ain't asleep. It's waiting.
I hope I'm listening when the El Rushbo strikes.
Schteveo is an OLD Ditto Head.
Ann Coulter has Olbermann in her sights. She doesn't give him a thrill up his leg as much as she beats him over the head with his own ego. That's gonna leave a mark.
If you've ever watched any three nights of his show, you know that Olbermann went to Cornell. But he always forgets to mention that he went to the school that offers classes in milking and bovine management.
Keith went to an affiliated state college at Cornell, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (average SAT: about that of pulling guards at the University of South Carolina; acceptance rate: 1 of every 1.01 applicants).
Olbermann's incessant lying about having an "Ivy League education" when he went to the non-Ivy League ag school at Cornell would be like a graduate of the Yale locksmithing school boasting about being a "Yale man."
She's funniest when pointing out the truth.
Schteveo thinks Ann needs a burger
A professor in Connecticut reported one of her students to the police after he gave a class presentation on why students and teachers should be allowed to carry concealed weapons on campus. Now, free speech activists say the professor’s actions are what really need to be investigated.
Talk about over-stepping your boundaries...
At least, they act like it is a good thing.
Clinton signed on to NAFTA. This basically dropped the rules and regulations that kept American jobs in America, by making it more expensive and onerous to buy products from other North American countries. Once that was done, one was forced to wonder what any corporation was thinking if they kept their manufacturing base here in the states. Why pay an American $20 per hour when you can pay a Mexican to do the same job for $5 a day?
Bush sat on his ass and watched it all happen, because his cronies in big business were making gobs of money laying off Americans and hiring someone else to do the job across the border. He had no reason to change the flow of the tides.
And now, we have Obama, passing a carbon cap and trade bill, which will cap carbon emissions at 1990 levels, and tax corporations for emitting carbon dioxide.
This will make electricity and power more expensive. It will likely drive the coal industry out of business. Their profit margins are simply too low to pick up the huge tab for the carbon emissions that coal generation creates. Natural gas is also going to get hammered.
What does that leave us?
Hydoelectric? What about the proposals on the table to remove the 5 dams on the lower snake river, and possibly begin to remove Columbia River Dams, also? Hydroelectric is pollution free, but is harder than hell on river ecosystems. Besides, hydro is maxed out. It isn’t enough to power the USA, and can not be.
Nuclear? Did you all see that Obama just canceled the Yucca Mountain deal? That effectively killed nuclear energy in the US for the next 15 years, until a new plan can be had.
Solar? You would have to cover the State of Arizona with solar panels to get enough electricity to power the west. The cost of the land and upkeep on the panels alone would be astronomical.
Wind? And when the wind is not blowing, say, in the middle of a huge heat wave (when the wind doesn’t blow) and electricity demand is the highest it will ever be?
There is no way around it. Alternatives will not save us from very large increases in our energy costs. We have to have coal and NG. Very large increases in our energy costs mean that American manufacturing becomes even more non-competitive, and even more jobs are shipped out to China, who has not, and has no plans to, pass any rules on carbon emissions, ever. Just the transfer of these jobs to China will create enough carbon emissions to make up for any reduction in carbon by Americans in a few short years. We are signing our own death warrant, amidst cheers and jubilation, and achieving nothing in return.
Even if you think that carbon dioxide is causing dangerous climate change, this plan will do virtually nothing to stop that. Our emissions are so greatly overshadowed by China and India that the increased production over there to make up for our decreased production will cancel out any good we do.
This plan is economic suicide, at the very moment when the economy is already a shambles. When will the politicians realize that they cannot have it both ways?

But the words of Theodore Roosevelt, issued in the midst of a world war, may still be apt in our present troubles. "To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."

So how would you feel about being able to do the same thing when having a child? That's right! Custom-order it's hair color, eye color, skin tone, height, etc. All you need is some money-hungry, fat slob doctor, tons of money, and you're on your way! Who knows. Maybe your kid can be in The Boys From Brazil II...

Apparently, you're not aware of the fact that the real solution to the terrorism problem is to do what we always do, buy our way out! If you were an enlightened leftist, you would know that the only way to get the Mooselambs to love us is to pay them off! Isn't that how we always make friends all over the world? Here's an interesting question. How is it that the cretins in our govt., the one's who dream-up these goofy ideas, are never the one's who have to pay for them?
Limbaugh said Obama and the Democrats are waging an “assault” on capitalism by raising taxes on those who make more than $250,000 and by expanding welfare, limiting deductions on charitable contributions, increasing the deficit and giving the government an expanding role in Americans’ lives.
Limbaugh said, “The racism, the sexism, the bigotry that we are all charged with ... doesn’t exist on our side.” He added. “We want everybody to succeed.”
Limbaugh derided those who found fault with his saying he hopes Obama fails. He said Democrats hoped George Bush would fail, and they hoped we would fail in Iraq. In fact, Sen. Harry Reid said we had lost the Iraq war.
I saw most of Limbaugh's speech yesterday and thought it was "right on". For those of you who didn't, the entire speech can be seen here.
After this bear froze to death due to the cold weather caused by global warming, ALGORE, Man-Bear-Pig, PETA, & Greenpeace are demanding that we provide heaters in the Arctic to protect these helpless animals from the freezing temperatures that Global Warming is causing.
After all, without the freezing temperatures that man-made Global Warming is causing these bears would be living in their natural habitat& temperatures....oh wait a minute, never mind.
