Limbaugh said Obama and the Democrats are waging an “assault” on capitalism by raising taxes on those who make more than $250,000 and by expanding welfare, limiting deductions on charitable contributions, increasing the deficit and giving the government an expanding role in Americans’ lives.
Limbaugh said, “The racism, the sexism, the bigotry that we are all charged with ... doesn’t exist on our side.” He added. “We want everybody to succeed.”
Limbaugh derided those who found fault with his saying he hopes Obama fails. He said Democrats hoped George Bush would fail, and they hoped we would fail in Iraq. In fact, Sen. Harry Reid said we had lost the Iraq war.
I saw most of Limbaugh's speech yesterday and thought it was "right on". For those of you who didn't, the entire speech can be seen here.

To a liberal, 'liberty' is a dirty word.
Considering those who are "rich" (making $250,000+) will pay 47.9 percent of all personal federal income taxes in 2009, it makes sense to me that they should control about 47.9%.
How many liberals are in government (from the cities to the federal level) and controlling 28% of the GDP? I'd venture to say there are more than 5.
This won't bother liberals making over 250K. As we have seen, they don't pay taxes anyway. I can't wait to see what skeleton Gov. Sebelius has in her closet.

Oh, they 'talk big' like when the VP - what's his name - declared "paying taxes is patriotic" - but he was only talking about conservatives. Conservatives fully support this nation, both monetarily and physically. My wife and I have consistently given more, in real dollars and percentage of income to charity than Al and Tipper Gore. And, I do not purport to buy "carbon offsets" to conceal my enormous waste of natural resources by purchasing shares of my own company, as does Gore.
I have invested in "toxic residential mortgages" by buying them back at 20 to 40 cents on the dollar from my local banks and offering the homeowners in these houses a new mortgage based upon the reduced value of my investment, saving them from foreclosure. If they cannot afford even the reduced payment, I'll rent the house to them. If they cannot afford the rent, I'll give them $5,000 to move. All that, and I still make a nice profit.

There's a reason I sold my practice and retired last year. All of the note payments for the loan to buy my business are recognized as long term capital gain (unearned income). Moreover, every year I stayed in business was causing a decrease in my Social Security benefits.
And, before you take me to task for accepting an entitlement, my liberal opponent, I have never said that I opposed Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid. Just because SS is a Ponzi scheme does not preclude my participation in it. If they'd just give me my contribution in a lump sum, I'd forego any future payments.

WAIT, wait wait. You can't NOT participate. I've got a very wealth friend who worked for IBM, then SAS for over 30 years combined. He was also a business man after that, then sold his business before the Dot Com bubble burst. He's loaded.
When he hit the highest age target last year, the SSA started sending him a check. He never sent in a form or called anyone, it just started coming.
The SSA told him they had NO system, for NOT sending SS checks / $$$, to live people who had paid in, regardless of need! Honestly, I'd never considered that. I figured there was a "needs" clause.

No, as Ross Perot used to say, "Here's the deal, see..." I paid in every penny of the money I'm collecting except for the five years I worked for accounting and law firms. When I have drawn all of the money I've contributed plus a modest 6% ineterst, I'll start donating my SS check to the US Treasury for the upkeep of unproductive parasites on the liberal side of the political spectrum.

Someone who does not want the job. Conscript him from the private sector. Qualifications:
1.) Must have successfully run business(es) in his or her career
2.) Must have never been a politician, never tried to be one, never WANTED to be one.
3.) Must be from a state or area more than 500 miles from Washington DC. Must have never lived there, or even visited for longer than a few weeks, aggregate
4.) Must have a working knowledge of the true powers given his office by the US constitution.
5.) Must NOT WANT to be president. Must be drafted in the same manner as soldiers are drafted for war. This will ensure two things:
A - He does not want or need power;
B - His willingness to take part once he is drafted will prove that he is willing to sacrifice for the good of the country
C - He won't have any political axes to grind, scores to settle, or promises to keep.
I think a good two to four terms of conscript presidents will get things back into some sort of working order.
Goob, that's pretty much what the people of NYC did the last time they elected a mayor. They went for a very successful businessman instead of a politician. What we got was His Majesty Bloomberg, who just usurped the will of the voters and gave himself the right to a 3rd term! And since he's a mega-Billionaire who bought his first two terms, he won't have any problem buying his 3rd.
At minimum, Palin for Secretary of the Interior. Every day is Moose Season!
