5th state exempts guns.

A fifth state – South Dakota – has decided that guns made, sold and used within its borders no longer are subject to the whims of the federal government through its rule-making arm in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, and two supporters of the growing groundswell say they hope Washington soon will be taking note.
South Dakota Gov. Mike Rounds has signed into law his state's version of a Firearms Freedom Act that first was launched in Montana. It already is law there, in Tennessee, Utah and Wyoming, which took the unusual step of specifying criminal penalties – including both fines and jail time – for federal agents attempting to enforce a federal law on a "personal firearm" in the Cowboy State.
According to a report in the Dakota Voice, the new South Dakota law addresses the "rights of states which have been carelessly trampled by the federal government for decades."

This HAS to make the feds nervous.

This is a great start but it needs to grow, and not just for guns. The states have the power (and authority) to cut the federal govt. down to size. Unfortunately, too many states are hungry for fed money, (which is actually their own money) and that will stop them.
In this spirit, I've been considering taking a gunsmithing and machinist class. This movement, I think, is going to sweep the country. Custom made guns will be more expensive, but they'll sell like umbrellas in a thunderstorm.
A worthy goal bud, but far from easy. But if you do it, i'll be your first customer. You can turn my old Colt Det. Spl. into full auto.
I'll be happy too, right after you show me the ATF form. Or after you move to NC, so we'll have that same state thing going for us.
I look like a huge pumpkin in an orange jump suit!!
The Idaho legislature looks to maybe passing one of these laws as well from reports here in the Spokane WA paper, pretty much the same as Montana's law.
Idaho also just passed a law barring the Feds from enforcing provisions such as the health "reform" bill that would "force" individuals to purchase health "insurance" as a violation of the 10th Amendment.
The Idaho legicrats are also working on a couple of other bills that would lead to direct challenges to the Feds overreaching on the commerce clause and a couple of other oversteps of the 10th Amendment.
They seem itching for a fight and I am considering moving across the border. I am only about 5 miles west.
Maybe folks are actually starting to wake up? If this keeps up we might end up with the country the founders intended.
Hopefully Texas will follow suit. How bad does Perry want to win re-election in Nov.?
