The president said on NBC's "Today" show that the [Tea Party] movement is built around a "core group" of people who question whether he is a U.S. citizen and believe he is a socialist. Beyond that, however, he said he recognizes that the movement involves people with "mainstream, legitimate concerns" about the national debt, government expansion and big spending.
"I wouldn't paint in broad brush and say that everybody who is involved or have gone to a tea party rally or meeting are somehow on the fringe," Obama said. "I think that there's a broader circle around that core group of people who are legitimately concerned about the deficit, who are legitimately concerned that the federal government may be taking on too much."
He said he hopes that as "we're tackling things like the deficit, imposing a freeze on domestic spending, taking steps that show we are sincere about dealing with our long-term problems, that some of that group will dissipate."

But to consider what used to be considered the American Ideal, as a fringe movement, makes me think he is crazy, not just stoooooppppiiiddd.

Fact is, he's neither crazy nor stupid. He's "dedicated" to his Marxist beliefs. And knowing he may only have two years left, we haven't seen him start the real pushing yet.
As for his comments about the Tea Party movement, or anyone else who has the audacity to disagree with him, remember the favorite old trick of the radical Left, "demonize your enemies and keep them on the defensive." That's exactly what they're trying to do to the Tea Party folks. It's obvious the MSM is totally onboard with this tactic.
Will it work? I don't know, but if the movement allows itself to be watered down, shouted down, or demonized to where they're afriad to speak out, we're toast! We will end up becoming nothing more than Venezuela North. Hell, we're already half way there.

Another way of looking at it is an attempt, by people who have "been there and done that", i.e., the hippies and the radicals of the 70's who are now in the WH, to marginalize this group by portraying them as today's hippies. Saul Alinsky must be proud of his desciples.

I agree that it's the same old tactics, ratcheted up, but how do they demonize the MAJORITY?
"Imposing a freeze on domestic spending" AFTER he dramatically increased spending? What about the love-in with the president of france while Israel gets a slap in the face? Does Maobama's comments about the tea party really surprise anyone?

he never surprises me. As long as he's consistently his old anti-American, Living Document, American apologist self, we won't get surprised,

How? By making that majority seem like a minority. A fringe group. A bunch of nuts, all of which is exactly what they're in the process of doing via the MSM. Look at the phony show they put on with those members of congress who "claimed" they were spit on and called niggers by Tea Party demonstrators at the capital. And, in spite of the fact that there's not one frame of video or pic to back-up those claims, the MSM has been pushing the claims non-stop.
The thing that worries me is that the Tea Party folks seem to be cooling down. They need to be more vocal, more aggressive, (as the left is) and keep it going right to the Nov election. If not, we lose!
This is our President!
Can you believe he got elected after saying things like this.....As a nation how stupid are the voting masses.
We all need to be re-reminded of the following:
If the President and the Parties in office were reversed, there would have been motions to impeach this person from office before his term reached this far.
THIS IS OUR "Biased" PRESIDENT AND HE IS PREJUDICE AGAINST THE WHITE RACE.
Everyone of voting age should read these two books. Don't buy them, get them from the library before they are removed from the shelves.

Good point Pastor. GWB would've been in prison by now. As i've said many times, what's going on in DC, and the horrible things being done to our govt, our way of life, and our country, are not the fault of the professional liars and crooks in DC, but the fault of the weak, mindless voters. It is (IMO) the voters who are the real threat to our freedom and liberty, only because of the things they allow to happen and continue.
Now the question is, can those voters correct their grave mistakes come Nov. Personally i doubt it, but we'll see.
