The Virus Is Spreading

The virus i'm referring to is an insidious one, one that is eating away at the very heart of our society. It is not only changing the way we live, but how we act, think, socialize, and yes, even the way we speak. The virus i speak of is, political correctness. It was created by the social engineers of the Left, who deeply believe that they, and only they, know how we all "must" live.

For years now, this destructive virus has quietly worked it's way into our daily lives, almost without notice. It has become an unwritten law throughout the govt. and in many places of business. It has clearly infected almost every TV personality, especially in the MSM. And yes, Fox is especially included. We have reached the point where most Americans no longer pay attention to it, mindlessly accept it, or worse, are completely unaware of it. Below is yet another example of what it's doing to us as a society...

(Elizabethton, Tennessee) "Could you be arrested for allowing your 5'th grade child to ride her bike one mile to school? That certainly seems crazy as we try to encourage active life styles for our kids. That certainly seems crazy as we try to promote safe routes to school programs. That certainly seems crazy as we talk of an obesity epidemic amongst our children. But that is what police in Elizabethton Tennessee are threatening.

Teresa Tryon said, "On August 25th my 10 year daughter arrived home via police officer, requested to speak to me on the front porch of my home. The officer informed me that in his 'judgement' it was unsafe for my daughter to ride her bike to school."
Ms Tryon called the mayor's office and the chief of police office in order to determine what laws she was breaking by allowing her daughter to ride her bike to school. Her daughter's route to school was reasonably safe.

Major Verran of the police department returned Ms Tryon's call. She said he told me, "He had spoke with the District Attorney's office who advised that until the officer can speak with Child Protective Services that if I allow my daughter to ride/walk to school I will be breaking the law and treated accordingly.

She asked, "What law she would be breaking to which the answer was 'child neglect'".

Ms Tryon confirmed with Major Verran that her daughter was indeed breaking no laws at any level, but it was Ms Tryon who was breaking the law by allowing her daughter to ride/walk to school. Even though it only takes her daughter 7 - 9 minutes to bicycle to school, she is expected to ride the bus..."

I used to ride about a mile and a half to middle school. What bothers me about this is nobody knows what the law is, but they are sure they are breaking it.

The problem is NOT the lack of a law, the problem is a law that is ambiguous. It's somewhat like pornography, you know it when you see it. When exactly does a parent cross over into the Twilight Zone of endangerment? Must every child be enveloped in a cocoon and be carried, ala Gaga, by a cadre of police officers to and from school?

This country has crossed over into the 5th dimension of PC insanity.

(CNN) -- A woman who operates a medicinal marijuana clinic in Lansing, Michigan, has been charged with breaking the state's election law after allegedly doling out free marijuana to those who registered to vote, officials said Tuesday.

Shekina Pena, 34, was charged Monday with a misdemeanor after authorities said she tried to influence voters with pot, considered a "valuable consideration," according to a statement from Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette.

Hey brother Poots, you just realized the ladies gave up on us a long time ago? Maybe we don't talk dirty enough for them? And, do ya think Missy's still married?

This crap is rampant and here's how YOURS TRULY got stuck recently.

When we moved here a year ago, there were two dogs running around. An old female who had some pups. And a male, whom we suspect is hers from another litter. We thought they belonged to the people at the top of our cul-de-sac. They caused me trouble so who cares where they run?

Recently, MamaDog as we call her, decided to crawl up under my shop and have 7 cute puppies. I need 7 puppies like I need 7 holes in my head. I asked the teen aged lad who lives at MamaDog's house WHEN they were going to move the puppies. He told me they don't own MamaDog, she's a stray that used to belong to someone who moved 2 years ago. She and the male fend for themselves, no one feeds them.

We realized that she had started shaking off the pups and was refusing to feed them, so we called the Animal Control folks and fed her AND them while we waited. 4 days, half a dozen calls later I finally get a live voice at Animal Control. The county (idiot) told me that IF I had them on my property for 72 hours, they were MINE to deal with!

And if we EVER fed them, they were MINE to deal with!!

I, on the other hand in PCized, 21st Century America, was scared NOT to feed them and get charged with animal cruelty, as that is the most common animal charge now.

So, once again, just like the lady in TN, damned if I do and damned if I don't! I'm hoping the end comes soon, I'm sick of this dance! And I've got enough beans and bullets to last for a while.

BTW, Dr. Pootenstein there's a possibility that they got chased off by terms like GASH!
