Okay, so there will be plenty more before the US is the last commie country. Here is something that is ignored by the MSM:

Atheists with a Heart!
Here's MY, "...now I've seen EVERYTHING" moment for today.
.
Eternal Earth-Bound Pets, USA
The next best thing to pet salvation in a Post Rapture World
.
.
You've committed your life to Jesus. You know you're saved. But when the Rapture comes what's to become of your loving pets who are left behind? Eternal Earth-Bound Pets takes that burden off your mind.
We are a group of dedicated animal lovers, and atheists. Each
Eternal Earth-Bound Pet representative is a confirmed atheist, and as such will still be here on Earth after you've received your reward. Our network of animal activists are committed to step in when you step up to Jesus.
We are currently active in 26 states, employing 40 pet rescuers. Our representatives have been screened to ensure that they are atheists, animal lovers, are moral / ethical with no criminal background, have the ability and desire to rescue your pet and the means to retrieve them and ensure their care for your pet's natural life.
.
I am an avowed, life long and rapid capitalist. And IF these people are for real, more power to them. But this seems like a good point for a scam to me.
.
As atheist they have zero intent of following those pesky Commandments, especially 8 and 10, those about lying and stealing!! And IF there is a Rapture (I'm not a believer in the Rapture BTW), who'll be here to see that they take care of the pets?
.
Don't you suppose that if a bunch of us just disappear or levitate toward the sky, they'll be WAY too busy shitting in their pants and learning to pray, to RUSH out and feed all the little furry creatures?
.
Think about it. The money and their promises will be moot points, IF they think they are about to burn in hell for all of eternity. Don't you think?

Why is this connection missing?
Okay. Here it is, connect the dots:
Osama taken out
Damaged, not destroyed, stealth helicopter left behind
Another $1,000,000,000 to Pakistan announced / return the tail
sure ...and the Chinese get to process it beforehand
The Chinese give 50 ...that's 50! new fighter jets to Pakistan!
Why did the CIA that was still 0.05 miles away not destroy the wreckage or the military not charged with such a mission?

Buy GE
After Obama's speech today in support of his "friends", I suggest buying GE shares. Why? Well, GE has played the game Obama set up, and after today's endorsement of throwing Israel under the bus, GE's presence in the MidEast, Arab Spring.....Who do you think will get to build the crematoria, uh, ovens, uh.......I meant camel rides for the children? After all, once the Jews are killed.....leave, they're gonna open a Disneyland Park in Jerusalem, open to all. Mock beheadings? Only for the littlest ones. After they are this tall (.) , they get the real ones! And it is open to allah...all. Come believers and infidels alike. Infidels- you will have the time of your life- you'll never leave. You'll scream your heads off, we'll help! If you would like to purchase property, Century 4 is our recommented agent.
On Our Way To Oblivion
It's been reported that over 410K Americans filed for unemployment benefits, and that's just for last month. Many of them can't find work. Others can't seem to find a job that will make them the multi-million-dollar-a-year CEO of some major corporation, while others have figured that staying home and getting paid for 99 weeks is better than getting up every morning and going to work. And, they figure, by the time their 99 weeks are up, one of the lying crooks in congress will probably double it. Not a bad deal for doing nothing.
So what is your president doing about this? Fear not. The "king of the world" has a solution. He's going to send plane-loads of your money to his favorite Mooselamb brothers in the Middle East! See, don't you feel better already? Yes, the Marxist-in-Chief wants to send hundreds-of-Billions of your tax dollars to places like Egypt, Jordan, and God only knows where else, because we'll probably never be told the truth about where it's all going. Apparently, the Mooselamb Brotherhood, which now controls most of the Middle East, has sent the half-black Marxist in the Oval Office a request for more money. Hey, it costs a lot to overthrow America's allies. First, there's the cost of demonizing them in the always-helpful media. Then, there's the cost of actually getting rid of them. Then there's the cost of making sure the clueless Americans don't find out that what is going to replace them is a thousand times worse. Now at least, you know (maybe) where your money will be going, and why. (maybe) Now don't forget to pay your taxes. Your king needs your money. Oops, i mean your help...

Freedom of The Press? Well, Maybe
Anyone who is honest and has an open mind knows that if there's one word that appropriately describes the overwhelming majority of the media, that word is, "biased". In fact, most would say, "highly biased", referring to the MSM's open support of, and collusion with, the Left. Yet, here we see a radical Left-wing, Marxist administration calling a newspaper biased! What could have caused that? Ironically, it was caused by, freedom of the press! This paper dared to think it was free to print what it wanted.
It seems the Marxist-in-Chief doesn't appreciate any part of the media liking, or giving notice to, anyone but HIM, especially since he's in full campaign mode. Comrade Obummer apparently feels someone who "may be" running against him is not entitled to the same media exposure, or any exposure, as he is. And, as in this case, if some newspaper should dare take notice of a political opponent, than there will be "an official" price to pay. One would think that the entire MSM would be up-in-arms over this assault on their freedom. But watching several morning news shows today, i heard not one word about it. Of course, had it been one of the left-wing papers involved, we would be plastered with the coverage. Biased? Hmmm...

A Bright Idea
So, the Mrs. calls you and asks you to stop by Lowes or Home Depot on the way home and pick-up a couple of light bulbs for the basement. No problem honey. But when you get home, she sees you standing there with a rather shocked look on your face, and no bulbs. What's wrong dear, asks the Mrs. Honey, the light bulbs are $50. each!! She now figures you've stopped-off for a few with the boys. But you haven't. No, you're not drunk. You've just run into the new regulations by the EnviroNazi's at the EPA.
That's right. YOUR govt. is now "ordering you" to buy certain kinds of light bulbs. Of course, the excuse is to save energy. But in reality, and like everything else this Marxist government is doing, it's really about, CONTROL! Control the people by controlling the products they use. Control everything they do, see, hear, and say, in their daily lives. And do they control us via the law? Not at all, because that would involve incoinvenient things like the Constitution, and the peoples representitives in Congress. We are now being controlled by "regulations", made by unelected, faceless, nameless, political hacks, with the full approval of the Marxist-in-Chief.
And the reaction of the people? Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z

The VERY next time...
...that you think YOUR life sucks, think of this story. It's from early May, but I just heard it.
.
Body thought to be ex-Playmate's found in LA home
.
Los Angeles County coroners are trying to confirm that a badly decomposed body found in the home of former Playboy Playmate and B-movie actress Yvette Vickers is hers.
A neighbor discovered the body in a mummified state last week, police told the Los Angeles Times.
The body appeared to have gone undiscovered for an unknown period of time -- anywhere from several months to a year -- and investigators weren't able to determine if it was the remains of a man or woman, Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said.
Neighbor Susan Savage told the Times she saw letters and cobwebs in Vickers' mailbox before going into her neglected home in the Benedict Canyon area to discover what she believed to be the actress's unrecognizable remains.
"The letters seemed untouched and were starting to yellow," Savage said. "I just had a bad feeling."
When she entered the house, Savage said she moved through stacks of clutter before finding the body upstairs in a room with a small space heater still on.
.
She was dead for a few months to a YEAR?! I can't get 4 hours of peace and quiet here at Casa de Schteveo. Somebody calls here daily for help / advice / trivia. But if you think your life sucks, think about someone that NO ONE missed for up to a year. Her life sucked.

Congress explained, all to well!
If you start with a cage containing five monkeys and inside the cage, hang a banana on a string from the top and then you place a set of stairs under the banana, before long a monkey will go to the stairs and climb toward the banana.
As soon as he touches the stairs, you spray all the other monkeys with cold water. After a while another monkey makes an attempt with same result ... all the other monkeys are sprayed with cold water. Pretty soon when another monkey tries to climb the stairs, the other monkeys will try to prevent it. Now, put the cold water away.
Remove one monkey from the cage and replace it with a new one. The new monkey sees the banana and attempts to climb the stairs. To his shock, all of the other monkeys beat the crap out of him. After another attempt and attack, he knows that if he tries to climb the stairs he will be assaulted.
Next, remove another of the original five monkeys, replacing it with a new one. The newcomer goes to the stairs and is attacked. The previous newcomer takes part in the punishment... with enthusiasm.
Then, replace a third original monkey with a new one, followed by a fourth, then the fifth. Every time the newest monkey takes to the stairs he is attacked. Most of the monkeys that are beating him up have no idea why they were not permitted to climb the stairs. Neither do they know why they are participating in the beating of the newest monkey.
Finally, having replaced all of the original monkeys, none of the remaining monkeys will have ever been sprayed with cold water. Nevertheless, none of the monkeys will try to climb the stairway for the banana.
Why, you ask? Because in their minds... that is the way it has always been!
This, my friends, is how Congress operates... and is why, from time to time, all of the monkeys need to be REPLACED.

Democrat Brains cost $75k!
A mid-level executive was so frustrated at being passed over for promotion year after year, that, in frustration, he went to a brain-transplant center in the hope of raising his I.Q. 20 points.
After a battery of physical and psychological tests, he was told by the center's director that he was an acceptable candidate.
"That's great!" the executive said. "But I understand that this procedure can be really expensive."
"Yes, sir, it can," the director replied. "An ounce of accountant's brain for example, costs one thousand dollars; an ounce of an economist's brain costs two thousand; an ounce of a corporate president's is forty-five thousand. An ounce of a Democrat's brain is seventy-five thousand dollars."
"Seventy-five thousand dollars for an ounce of a Democrat's brain? Why on earth is that?"
"Do you have any idea," the director asked, "how many Democrats we would have to kill to get a full ounce?"

Ariz. seeks online donations to build border fence
.
Arizona lawmakers want more fence along the border with Mexico - whether the federal government thinks it's necessary or not.
They've got a plan that could get a project started using online donations and prison labor. If they get enough money, all they would have to do is get cooperation from landowners and construction could begin as soon as this year.
Gov. Jan Brewer recently signed a bill that sets the state on a course that begins with launching a website to raise money for the work, said state Sen. Steve Smith, the bill's sponsor.
"We're going to build this site as fast as we can, and promote it, and market the heck out of it," said Smith, a first-term Republican senator from Maricopa.
Arizona - strapped for cash and mired in a budget crisis - is already using public donations to pay for its legal defense of the SB1070 illegal immigration law.
Part of the marketing pitch for donations could include providing certificates declaring that individual contributors "helped build the Arizona wall," Smith said. "I think it's going to be a really, really neat thing."
Construction would start "after we've raised a significant amount of money first" but possibly as soon as later this year, Smith said.
"If the website is up and there is an overwhelming response to what we've done and millions of dollars in this fund, I would see no reason why engineering or initial construction or finalized plans can't be accomplished," he said.
The nearly 2,000-mile U.S.-Mexico border already has about 650 miles of fence of one type or another, nearly half of it in Arizona. The state's 376-mile border is the busiest gateway for both illegal immigrants and marijuana smuggling.
Department of Homeland Security spokesman Matthew Chandler said federal officials declined to comment on the Arizona legislation.
.
I think this is the ONLY way we'll see the border secure under Progressive Administrations. It's painfully obvious that THEY have no intention of closing the borders.

My Brothers Keeper
So here's my question for today;
"If my father, grandparents, and siblings are Mooselambs, how can i claim to be a Christian without ever having claimed to have converted"?
I also wondered if our Attorney General is looking into this story. Perhaps when he's done investigating the Black Panthers? Not only am i shocked this story made it's way into the public domain, but i'd be even more shocked if it's still around a couple of days from now, especially since we know how those "magicians" in the MSM can make things they dislike disappear...

No sense, or knowledge, of History
Find attached an article about a build up of Bird Farms. (Aircraft Carriers for you non-Navy types) But the writers makes several mistakes, not the least which is this sentence.
.
The floating fortresses became the backbone of U.S. sea power after WWII, projecting military might around the world in crises and in conflicts such as Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Kosovo and Afghanistan.
.
If I'm not mistaken, they became the backbone of U.S. Naval Power by about noon, Hawaii local time, on December 7th, 1941. Even after that day, and the refitting the Battleships, the battle wagons had had their day. The bird farms ARE and were the best use of floating steel.
.
Making them 'nuke-ya-ler' makes them that much better. Deleting the DFM they needed for cruising around both saves millions per year, per ship, on operating costs. We really should go to just two types of ships, nukes and gas turbines.
.
Anyway, read on, it's an interesting story of the world catching up to something we knew 70 years ago.

Here's an interesting statement concerning bin Laden, and from a Muslim Cleric no less.
"Muslims are discouraged from showing jubilation over death..."
.
Or so says Imam Hassan al-Qazwini of the Islamic Center of America in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn.
.
The leader of one of the nation's largest mosques was equally direct during prayers Friday.
"There is no doubt that this man was a thug, he was a murderer," Imam Hassan al-Qazwini told worshippers at the Islamic Center of America in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn. "His hands were stained by the blood of thousands of innocent people — Muslims and non-Muslims alike."
Qazwini, who delivered his sermon in a large, circular hall filled to capacity, said the Quran is clear that someone who kills one innocent person "is doomed to hell forever." And the imam was particularly incensed that bin Laden "committed atrocities against innocent people ... while he was calling 'Allahu akbar,'" or "God is great."
"He's responsible for tarnishing the image of Islam in this country. He's responsible for tarnishing the image of Muslims," he said. "We're happy to see the man who caused so much pain for Muslims in this country is gone ... finally."
Before the sermon, he told The Associated Press that Muslims are discouraged from showing jubilation over death, but cheering the news of bin Laden's demise marks an occasion where "justice was served."
.
The article is about how religious leaders are talking to their congregations about bin Laden's death. I felt too bad to go to church this AM. But I'm betting my church was continuing with the study they've been on for a while.
.
Following the edict to be "in the world, but not of the world". If your church got off track today, to talk about bin Laden, I'd like to hear how that went.
.
(updated after thought...did your Christian Church hand out candy or cookies this morning to celebrate bin Laden's death? If so, RUN!!!!)

One for the "No SHIT Sherlock" File
For years I've been saying people are steering their kids toward 'careers' that are already too full and under payed. I told them, and I told MY kids to go toward trades and particularly, trades where they can wind up working for themselves. Along those lines, working in industry or factory settings with a nod toward math, or science.
.
Here's my question for Americans. IF all our kids get college degrees and work in corner offices, who will build our homes, planes, trains and automobiles. Who will repair those things and do all the other stuff that guys with corner offices won't or CAN'T do?
.
Here's an article from the WSJ, about high tech manufacturing and a lack of qualified operators. I don't agree with ALL the statements in this article, but it makehttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifs some really good points.
.
Help Wanted on Factory Floor
.
U.S. manufacturing companies, long known for layoffs and shipping jobs overseas, now find themselves in a very different position: scrambling for scarce talent at home.
Large and small manufacturers of everything from machine tools to chemicals are scouring for potential hires in high schools, community colleges and the military. They are poaching from one another, retraining people who used to have white-collar jobs, and in some cases even hiring former prisoners who learned machinist skills behind bars.
.
Even with unemployment near 9%, manufacturers are struggling to find enough skilled workers because of a confluence of three trends.
First, after falling for more than a decade, the number of U.S. manufacturing jobs is growing modestly, with manufacturers adding 25,000 workers in April, the seventh straight month of gains, according to payroll firm Automatic Data Processing Inc. and consultancy Macroeconomic Advisers. The Labor Department's jobs report on Friday is expected to show moderate employment growth in the overall economy.
Second, baby-boomer retirements are starting to sap factories of their most experienced workers. An estimated 2.7 million U.S. manufacturing employees, or nearly a quarter of the total, are 55 or older.
Third, the U.S. education system isn't turning out enough people with the math and science skills needed to operate and repair sophisticated computer-controlled factory equipment, jobs that often pay $50,000 to $80,000 a year, plus benefits. Manufacturers say parents and guidance counselors discourage bright kids from even considering careers in manufacturing.
"We get people coming in here all the time who say, 'I can weld,'" says Denis Gimbel, human-resources manager at Lehigh Heavy Forge Corp., of Bethlehem, Pa., whose products include parts for ships. "Well, my grandmother could weld." He needs people who understand the intricacies of $1 million lathes and other metal-shaping equipment.
.
My younger son is going to school now, for auto mechanics. He's also taking some welding classes. His welding instructor was telling him to SKIP the auto thing and just get his welding cert.
.
Welders are making $40K to $50K a year right now with 3 yrs experience. Hell, that's more than Mrs. Schteveo was making after the Dot.Com bubble burst and she changed jobs three times. AND there are more jobs than workers in trades.
.
And it's due to stay that way for years and years.

...and they (might) have NUCLEAR Weapons!!!
As we all know, the Iranian government is a little nutty. On one hand they are attempting to create nuclear weapons. On the other hand, they want to move the world BACK to about the 4th Century. But it gets weirder.
.
Some of Ahmadinejad's buddies are in trouble for practicing sorcery.
.
Close allies of Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, have been accused of using supernatural powers to further his policies amid an increasingly bitter power struggle between him and the country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Several people said to be close to the president and his chief of staff, Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, have been arrested in recent days and charged with being "magicians" and invoking djinns (spirits).
Ayandeh, an Iranian news website, described one of the arrested men, Abbas Ghaffari, as "a man with special skills in metaphysics and connections with the unknown worlds".
The arrests come amid a growing rift between Ahmadinejad and Khamenei which has prompted several MPs to call for the president to be impeached.
.
I don't know which is scarier, the fact that these people actually run a country, or the fact that OUR leaders don't think we could kick their asses in about 3 days and remove them as a problem from the world stage.
.
Djinns? That means Genies you know? Are you kidding me?

Horse Sense
Four years after NYC closed its last horse stable there are plans to return one to NYC's Central Park this summer after being absent from that location for 100 years. It's not a done deal as yet as there are mixed feelings about this plan. But......THERE IS DISCUSSION about this before a decision will be made.

another joke at UBL's expense
Osama bin Laden is standing before God waiting to hear his judgment, when God gets a tap on the shoulder. There behind Him stand 343 Firemen, 72 Police Officers, one K9 Officer, 3,000 American Citizens & over 5,000 American Soldiers.
"Don't worry Father. We got this one!!"
And there, sticking out of the front of everyone's Heavenly robes, is the flaming sword of St. Michael!
.
.
I also heard that there is a new translation of the Koran that corrects some mistakes made before. It actually says 72 VEGANS!!

Just for discussion's sake...
I'm opening the "LAO Think Tank" this morning. You are all members. Here's our first item.
.
I had a thought this morning while driving about. GB's show was on the radio, and they were kicking around WHY you DON'T just capture bin Laden if you are BHO. (if you didn't hear it, it was because of the legal wrangling the left would have done and BHO having to go against them) Anyway, that brought me to this thought study.
.
How would the world be affected IF the following were to happen,
1.) instead of killing UBL, we capture him. (or we say we did anyway)
2.) after he is captured, he RENOUNCES Islam
3.) he accepts Christianity
4.) as a Christian, he reminds his former followers about that whole, don't kill the "people of the book" thing in their Koran
.
Here's the exercise, and how I got to this,
.
If you can put John freakin' Wayne in a GD beer commercial via CGI, you can put bin Laden, on his knees in front of the POPE!!
Here's the ultimate question. Would UBL doing this cause the terrorists to stutter step, or what exactly would happen?
Would the Imams swear out a fatwah on UBL?
And if so, wouldn't THAT fatwah cause infighting?
If they're fighting each other, would they have time for us too, or would they be easier to find WHILE they are fighting each other?
.
I get that it's all very "Mission Impossible" (the TV show NOT the movie), but why wouldn't this work? This is the kind of stuff we did to the bad guys for decades, before the commie leftists took over the CIA and the State Department anyway.
.
So? Whaddya t'ink?

Aha, HERE'S the Obama we know so well!!!
Barack Obama kept military commanders hanging by declaring he would 'sleep on it' before taking 16 hours to give the go-ahead to raid Bin Laden's compound.
Hit squads of specialist Navy Seals - who were not even told who they were preparing to capture - had practised the mission at two reconstructions of the terror chiefs sprawling compound.
The mission looked set to be given the all clear last Thursday when analysts confirmed beyond doubt that Bin Laden was in busy town of Abbottabad in northern Pakistan.
.
This is the story I was waiting for. The hand-wringing, can't make up my LEFTIST mind, what will 'the world' think, Obama operating as usual. And I didn't get disappointed.

Killings Jews is OK, killing Muslims ain't!!
Der Speigel, a well known supporter of American policy has weighed in on the bin Laden killing.
.
Was Bin Laden's Killing Legal?
.
US President Barack Obama gets precious few opportunities to announce a victory. So it's no wonder he chose grand words on Sunday night as the TV crews' spotlights shone upon him and he informed the nation about the deadly strike against Osama bin Laden. "Justice has been done," he said.
It may be that this sentence comes back to haunt him in the years to come. What is just about killing a feared terrorist in his home in the middle of Pakistan? For the families of the victims of the 9/11 attacks, and for patriotic Americans who saw their grand nation challenged by a band of criminals, the answer might be simple. But international law experts, who have been grappling with the question of the legal status of the US-led war on terror for years, find Obama's pithy words on Sunday night more problematic.
.
But Obama and his predecessor Bush never sought the kind of justice that would have seen bin Laden tried in an international court. As early as his election campaign in 2008, Obama swore he would "kill bin Laden" and finish the job begun by his predecessor after 9/11. "We went to war against al-Qaida to protect our citizens, our friends and our allies," the president explained on Sunday night. A US national security official didn't beat around the bush, telling Reuters, "This was a kill operation." And why shouldn't it be? The very goal of war is the defeat of the opponent, the killing of enemies through legal means. War is war.
In truth, it isn't quite that simple. And not everything that the United States declares to be war really is. Legal experts like Kress say it is "questionable whether the USA can still claim to be engaged in an armed conflict with al-Qaida."
.
The entire idea of a 'World Court' is plain old stupid to me. It won't work, it hasn't worked and anyone who thinks it will or can work, is either ignorant, or is a German legal expert.
.
BTW, where were these 'experts' after the family of Rabbi Fogel was murdered? Did they call for the international court to bring justice to the perpetrators in the name of the survivors? Not that I ever heard.
.
I am sick to death of dual standards. And given the fact that parts of Europe are under Sharia and not local law, you'd THINK this legal expert would get it!! Here's hoping that the Muslims don't do for Germany what the Nazis did.
.
But given the chance, we know they would.

Finally !
By now the world has heard that Osama Bin Laden is finally dead. His palatial compound was hit by a small, elite team of our Navy SEALS and CIA agents. Reports are that no prisoners were taken and Osama took a round to the head which put his lights out. I'm sure the MSM and the ABA are really pissed since they had hoped he'd be taken alive. In that way, they would've turned his capture into one of their usual circus shows, with leftist lawyers coming out of the woodwork to defend him, media talking-heads trying to show us his "human side", and some leftist judge whining about how his rights were violated because he was yelled at by one of the SEALS. Of course, and to no ones surprise, the Marxist-in-Chief is taking full credit for this action. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that it happened during his re-election campaign. Right?
It's also been reported that he was "buried at sea", which i hope means they threw his dead ass out of the chopper on their way back to their base. Personally, i would've wrapped him in a pig skin and hung him on the WH lawn. But that's just me. It's really nice to know that we have brave warriors like these, and that occasionally, they're allowed to "do the right thing". God bless 'em...
