Carpal Tunnel...anyone?! ................................. ...... Anyone? Buehler, Buehler...Buehler?

I found out Friday that I've got carpal tunnel in BOTH hands, and both hands are operable!  I'm still not sure if that's good news or bad news.

Lucky f*&king me, eh?!

Anyway, if anyone looking in has experience with this, I'm looking for input on how it was, pre fix, post fix, long term, recovery wise, any and all intel is good.   I'm not sure when, or even if, I can get this done, not any time soon as Mrs Scteveo just had her 2nd knee rebuilt.  But I consider input, it's never a bad thing on operations like this, that can potentially save a hand.

Yeah, I said save, because I've all but lost any grip or manipulation with my (R) hand.

Luckily, I can still use my (L) hand, but I'm not good going that way.  I used to tell people my (L) hand was an ornament to make my body symmetrical.  I evidently mis-spoke.

Lemme know,
Schteveo

"I know an excellent hand "surgeon" here in NYC"

And she only charges $100. per hour. Of course, mouth "surgery" is extra.

This conversation, as usual, deteriorated to the lowest common denominator! Penises and fun or disfunction with penises.

No wonder the lady's quit coming around!

My mom had her hand worked on about 5 years ago. She owned a ceramic and crafts shop. Needless to say, she really needed to be able to use her hands.

It took about a week after surgery to get her dexterity back to pre-surgery, and it only improved from there. it never did get back to what she had 20 years ago, but at 65 you kind of have to expect for a few things to go.

so I would say "go for it"

alan,
I've had trouble with my hands FOR-EV-ER!

There is a good chance that I've had some amount of this, since I was a child. But NOW, they're going to fix it. So, I might actually get some function back that I haven't had for 20 years or more. I'd just be happy to get some grip back, without my damned fingers tingling, then hurting, then feeling like they're in a vice!

Poots,
the obvious alternative, would be for his mom to close the store. But that sucks for a choice.

You're a cruel bastard to even bring it up.
