Art vs Racism. Who decides? Why, the LEFT, of course!!

Last year, the Lefty Hollywood types took a fairly life like GWB mask, stuffed it, put a great head of hair on it, and put it on a POLE, to look like a beheaded peasant or enemy soldier for the show "Game of Thrones".  Naturally, many on the Right thought it was inappropriate to do that to a still living ex-POTUS.

We were told, at various times and by various people attached to HBO and "Game of Thrones", that  it was (a) joke / oversight / ART, and it wasn't meant as disrespect.

Of course the question then, is this.  IF it wasn't done on purpose, WHY use that particular mask?   If it wasn't a jab, or suggestion for where top put the ACTUAL head of GWB, why not use a Clinton mask? Carter mask?  JFK mask?  FDR mask?  WHY use a mask at all?  OK then, let's say that I'll believe what you said about (a) joke / oversight / ART.  And now, to show just how open minded and above reproach they are on the Left, I'll post THIS STORY.

The Missouri State Fair has permanently banned a rodeo clown whose imitation of President Barack Obama has been widely criticized as disrespectful.

Fair officials said Monday that the rodeo clown has been barred from ever performing at the fair again. They are also reviewing whether to take any actions against the contractor responsible for Saturday’s rodeo.

During the event, a clown wore a mask of Obama and asked the spectators if they wanted to see “Obama run down by a bull.” Many in the audience responded enthusiastically.
A rodeo announcer said he had no advance knowledge of the widely-criticized act and his attorney said the clown went rogue.

State Fair officials said in a statement Sunday that the act was “inappropriate” and “does not reflect the opinions or standards” of the fair. The Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association, which sponsored the event, also apologized in an online statement and said its board of directors “is dealing with the situation firmly and quickly as this type of behavior will not be tolerated.”

What the official statement should have said was

“...dealing with the situation firmly and quickly as this type of free speech will not be tolerated!”

So much for this guy's choices of  (a) joke / ART right?  I've YET to see anything from the rodeo clown, or to hear HIS side of wearing a mask, lampooning the clown at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

The Left can do the same thing, and much worse, and they get away with it because they know the Right is weak and incapable/unwilling to fight back.

DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO DAMN IT!

Spider,
the other thing is, the Left controls 99.999% of the MSM. So getting out the TRUTH is very hard.

Cowpil,
the Left uses that crap, because they see all of us as children. They are always the smartest kids in the room.

In their own minds anyway.

Schteveo, you're right. My dad always told me, "he who controls the media wins", and i believe that. But there are quite a few conservative outlets today (radio, papers, blogs, etc.) which can get their message out if they simply got some balls and stopped being strangled by PC-speak, such as Fox.

In the game of politics, playing by the rules means you lose. You would think conservatives would catch on at some point, but that doesn't seem to be happening.

Spider,
I [finally] gave up on the boobs at FOX News. I got tired of them word swapping, PCizing and generally taking the lowest road possible. They sure as hell have changed their 'attitudes' since they hit the air years ago.

As for rules, I am reminded of the scene in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" when Butch is about to fight Harvey over who will lead the gang.
.
.
Butch Cassidy: No, no, not yet. Not until me and Harvey get the rules straightened out.

Harvey Logan: Rules? In a knife fight? No rules!

[Butch immediately kicks Harvey in the groin]

Butch Cassidy: Well, if there aint' going to be any rules, let's get the fight started.
.
.
The (D)'s understand that politics is now a knife fight. The nuts in the (R) camp, think it's a gentlemen's duel!
