no systematic evidence

So the White crib is saying:  "no systematic evidence that the Affordable Care Act is having an adverse impact on job growth or the number of hours employees are working"

so can someone please tell me why my wife just got a letter in the mail stating that if she exceeds 29.5 hours during any week, the company would have no option other than to terminate her employment?

Funny thing is, up until a couple days ago, we didn't care about health care benefits from her employment because as a military retiree we could get Tricare or Tricare Prime.   Except today we got a letter in the mail stating that effective October 1, 2013 we would no longer be covered by Tricare Prime since I am not disabled, under age 65 and might be able to get a job that provides healthcare benefits......the key word there is "might"   Reality....I have a full time job as a government contractor...except I've been furloughed 6 out of 8 weeks since March.  And my part time job as a substitute high school teacher, $65 per day, has no benefits.

things that make you go.....Hmmmmm?

Well, I'm not a policy expert, but it could be, that there's no 'impact', because they've SLOWED the start of the Affordable Screw the Country Act so that turtles are faster!!!

Well several counties in Virginia have decided to go with the "exchanges" that don't exist yet but will still penalize you for not having insurance. I opted out of Tricare because I am with a local Gov't and have decent healthcare and am classified as a disabled veteran..... But, my cost doubled and the VA was affected by sequestration, Less care, more money, but according to the WH there is no impact. They can kiss my hemorrhoid laden ass.

I'm too busy on Martha's Vineyard discussing upcoming vacation ideas with Aunt Esther. But I tell you, it's those pesky liberty loving folk who are in the way.

Personally, i'm surprised this Obamcare fiasco is not even more chaotic than it is, especially when you consider the remark made by Harry Reid last week during a local radio interview. He said Obamacare was "deliberately designed" to fail. The reason? So that people would get so disgusted with it that they would then "readily accept" a so-called "single payer" system which is simply another name for full socialized medicine. Could that be why sen. Max Baucus, one of the original creators of the law called it, "a train wreck" and is now against it?

We all know the Left has been trying to shove socialized medicine down our throats for decades. That it's failed in every country it's been tried in hasn't stopped them. We also know that every time they've tried it here, the people have rejected it. The Left, as they usually do, just comes up with a "more palatable" name for it and tries again. That's what Obamacare is, just another attempt.
