The Handwriting's On The Wall

Yes, the handwriting's on the wall, but apparently, we're not smart enough to read it.

Canada, our neighbor to the north, has become somewhat famous, (or is that infamous) for it's system of socialized medicine, mostly because people just love "free" stuff. In fact, our Marxist-in-Chief has designed his health care plan based mostly on Canada's. But, like my dear Dad used to tell me, "when they tell you it's free, in the end, it'll cost you twice as much."

Mullah Obummer told this Nation of Fools that his health plan "would save us money", and the truly amazing thing is, lots of brain-dead people bought it, proving once again that P.T. Barnum was much smarter than folks gave him credit for being. Of course, what Obummer forgot to mention was that our grandchildren will still be paying this debt off when they grow up. Like most of you, i sit down every month and write checks to cover my bills, And, not being an economist or a mathematician, it never occurred to me that the best way for me to save money, is to spend more than i have.

Now it seems, Canada is starting to realize that one of the reasons socialism always fails is because, no matter how good your intentions, you can't give everything to everybody without worrying about who will pay the bills. I wonder if this Nation of Fools will figure that out before we start seeing soup kitchens and bread lines on our streets. Again...

Living just across the border from Toronto, I can tell you that the hospitals in the US are filling up with Canadians, especially for elective surgery.

OK, mark me down as confused.

Last week, 67% of voters were STILL against Obamacare and wanted it repealed, and his approval rating was at 47%, his lowest ever. Those numbers from NYT and Time, so he must be lower in reality.

Where are the people getting in line for his BS? The "takers" are the usual "takers". No different.

anyone hear over the weekend about a "report" floating around the OMB, about OUR economy being dragged down by the (maroons in the) EU, and the possibility of "Bank Holidays" this fall to keep banks on an even keel? I heard part of it once and just the tail of the story one other time, but can't find anything on Algores WWW invention thingy, anywhere.

I get that they did it during the Depression, but they got paid in CASH then and limiting withdrawals was NOT a big deal to people who transacted with greenbacks. It affected people's savings acct's, NOT their working, living, eating, mortgage, utility money. But with automatic deposit of payrolls and limited withdrawals, Obama controls our entire monetary system.

Maybe we are screwed and I'm about to start dealing in cash again.

They may reform their system but they'll still insure everyone.

You filthy subhuman savages see nothing wrong with a system that denies a large percentage of people health care.

When the sh*t hits the fan, we will eat your hearts out. The show won't end pretty for the greedy, selfish conservatives in this country. Think heads on stakes.

I am amazed that someone who has been getting disability can even write the words 'The "takers" are the usual "takers".'

Actually, to put it quite bluntly, It isn't about denying anything...it is about Darwinism, survival of the fittest, etc. etc. One of those things that liberals trumpet from the tops of this countries schools.

Just out of curiosity, for how many of the 15 billion years this world has supposedly been in existance do you think that "universal healthcare" has been in existance? I'm guessing a somewhere around none. How many countries in this world actualy provide UNRATIONED universal healthcare? let me see.....um...none.

The argument is not about denying anyone anything, I think UHC would be a great thing, except for the fact that in only a few years of access, we will be back into the world of backroom surgery, witchdoctors, and quackery, because that is all anyone will be allowed. Do you really think that there are that many doctors out there that do this job for the love of medicine? No, it is the money.

Question: What do you call the doctor who barely graduated from a Canadian medical school? Answer: Doctor

What do yo call the doctor that graduated at the top of his Canadian Medical School? Answer: Expatriat.

Now that I work in the health care industry, I can't figure out where the theory is that we (The USA) don't already provide universal healthcare. Nobody is denied emergency healthcare. The only thing that is denied is the absolutly best doctors at the best facilities. Guess what, the Democratic Congress continue to make sure that they have access to it, but the rest of us lowly Americans don't. Oh yeah, and the majority of the very liberal and very wealthy Hollyweird crowd.

Is it sad that everyone can't pay for the best treatments? yes, it is sad that there isn't a cure for cancer? I get sick of hearing that one, what type of cancer?

We abort how many children before they are even born? yet we expect anyone who manages to be born, to live forever with no pain or suffering or mishaps. Boy do I wish your world actually existed.

I can't remember that last time I walked into a fancy restaurant and ordered 18 oz of filet mignon medallions and the matre'd accepted my Dairy Queen ice cream token as payment in full. The only way you will get a surgeon to perform extremely complex surgery for peanuts, is when you are willing to accept the bottom of the class. Because when they only get peanuts for pay, they find something else to do.

Even most libtards are unwilling to accept less money than what they think they deserve. Look at the housing prices in Flagstaff: Poverty with a view.

Unless we go communist, it will never work....or Anon...is that you plan in the first place...denial of freedom unless you get to decide who gets what.

Actually, it's a moot point since this is not really about health care. It's about control. Total control over the every day lives of all of us. In fact, when you blow the smoke away from all of Odumbo's huge plans, (energy, environment, economic, etc.) what you're left with is the govt. controlling every aspect of our lives. It's what leftists and Marxists try to do wherever and whenever they can get away with it.

As for health care, who in this country (including illegals) doesn't have access to health care? True, not everyone may be able to be treated by the country's best doctors, but that's just how life works. Nobody said life was fair. If it was, Salma Hyak would be bringing me a Southern Comfort about now.

OK,
here's how MY day is set up.

It's 5:45 and I'm up because my back is KILLING me.

At 10 AM, we've got a closing on our new house.

AT 11 AM, I'm going to start buying (more) bullets and beans.

At 12 noon, I'm picking up my used lawn mower and a garden tiller from one of my buds.

By night fall, there will be new locks on the door, and 3 days of food, fire and some ammunition out there.

(And JUST because Anon is all bent out of shape over my SSD, I'm looking for some work from home, tech service work.)

But the REAL deal today, is the "getting out of Dodge" part of returning to the country. My garden goes in ASAP. And my crawl space root cellar is starting ASAP too.

(personally, I'm expecting the 'balloon' to go up before the elections, so I'm hoarding and planning it's taken a year longer to get a house than I'd planned, so I'm way behind where I want to be but the Lord will provide, IF I'm diligent and do my part by way of working like the ants, not fiddling like the grasshopper)

Oh, dear, dear odd anon, you goofy, goofy twittering fool, my head will go on a pike ONLY after I send MANY, MANY, MANY anon, liberal, NON-planning, home storming, family threatening, fiddling grasshoppers to hell with lead, knives, bats, pipes, teeth and finger nails. Remember, old chum, that it is YOU and other libs who are unarmed and under prepared time after time when there is an emergency.

I'll guarantee you that there was NOT one, not even ONE Right-wing, Christian, gun toting, conservative in the Super Dome, bitching to the Big 3 TV cameras, about GWB hating black people. Likewise, looters are rarely of that group either. Looters and takers and bithchers are liberal. Just like your rants here, no substance, just hate and innuendo and threats.

So come ahead. I'll post my address, so you can bring your anti-everything I believe friends to storm MY castle and we'll see who's head winds up with maggots for eye's when the Shumer hits the fan.

[well, well, well...I'm just about to hit PUBLISH, and FOX is running a story about the World being Broke. The EU is about done, Greece has a debt to GDP ratio that's nuts. Their debt is 115% of their GDP. No one in the EU HAS the money to bail out the Greeks. Most of th EU is looking to Germany (the only stable economy in Europe) to GIVE Greece a 'loan'.

And the very next blurb...The Governator wants the Feds to bail out California because they are spending more than they take in. That sounds familiar, huh? Maybe Germany could lend them some money!?]

OK, we're done.

We just signed the papers, got a "toxic asset" house off the HUD list, "bought" $60K of equity by signing the mortgage. Anyone looking for a house, or something as rental property, needs to find a real estate agent who knows HUD houses.

IMHO, it's like free money.

Here's where it put US. We lost a 1796 sqft house, on .78 acre lot. Paid $148K for that, lost it in 3 years, so little gained on a mortgage. (we'd have done better renting and saving the difference in $$$) Today, bought a 2203 sqft house, on .91 acre, "MADE" the difference in my cost and actual worth of around the aforementioned 60K.

In spite of all we've been through, I'm ahead of the game, property value / equity wise. And we've got $$$ left over for more beans and bullets. Love de beans and de bullets mon.

Hey anon, what did YOU do for the country today?

I masturbated.
I protested your racist borders.
I masturbated
I burned a US flag and put on my Che Gueverra T-Shirt
I ate a bowl of free range granola
I kissed my partner goodbye and went to work at the food bank
I collected money for the United Homeless Organization.
I came to this blog to tell you that you all suck and we are taking over.
I masturbated to gay porn.
I protested against the Zionist occupying Israel
I raised money for Obama's re-election.
I masturbated to a poster of Obama.
I got my news from the Daily Kos.
And now I'm here. My boyfriend is home and he is horney. He spent the entire day boycotting Arizona.
What did you do for the country?

Nice spin, Anon. No one in the US system is "denied" health care. Show me one person who has been "denied" needed health care, sparky.

I'll show you the federal law that requires emergency rooms to provide health care, no questions asked, anytime, anyday. You are a lying liar and a spin master, like most of your brethren.

Anon - explain to me this...

I work for a company that is headquartered in Canada.

I was talking to one of the guys from Vancouver who came down to review something or other a few weeks back, and mentioned to him that since he'd seen me last, I'd had my abdominal hernia repaired.

His first reaction was to become very concerned and ask how I was doing. I didn't understand at first - an abdominal hernia repair is a pretty simple outpatient surgery, basically a cut in the skin and some stitches in the muscle. after we went back and forth for a bit not understanding each other, he finally explained why he was concerned.

"They don't fix abdominal hernias typically unless there is a stragulation problem with your guts," he said, leading me to understand his concern - he'd thought that I'd had a strangulation incident, which is a pretty severe problem that can occur when a hernia tightens around protruding organ tissues and chokes off blood flow.

It was my turn to be confused, then, because I've never heard of a hernia NOT being repaired - it is just unheard of! They are uncomfortable, dangerous, and difficult to live with.

So I asked if it was typical for hernias to not be repaired in Canada, and he confirmed that they typically will not do a hernia repair unless there is stragulation or some other threatening condition going along with it.

So there is your caring, loving, governmental insurance, Anon - bending the cost-curve by not only refusing to pay for a person's hernia repair, but actually denying them the ability to get one by paying for it on their own - the government doesn't like competition.

Just keep fucking that chicken, pal, and reap the rewards when your great government care finally comes along.

When you have to take a train 500 miles and spend three days away from home to get an MRI, then don't call me compaining (oh, I forgot to mention that case from Canada - maybe another day, huh?)

You're the same subhuman garbage who thought that running water and electricity were too expensive to make widely available.

Telling people to wait until they need an emergency room before they take that very expensive route that we all end up paying for is the height of ignorance. I only hope that all of you end up with sick children who can't get care until they are suffering. Although many of you will simply go the way of our host and find a way to get welfare.

The world will progress in spite of you ignorant savages. And like always, you'll take as much as you can from society while fighting to contribute as little as possible to its upkeep.

Oh, and schteveo? You're going to lose money on that house like you did the last one. The American Dream is dead for a long time and real estate will continue to decline or remain flat for decades.

The years of bad conservative policy has only begun to show its damaging effects.

But then, your kids and grandkids will suffer for that. Makes me smile just thinking about it.

Goober, your anecdote is partially lies and partially bullshit. But all untrue.

If Canada's system was the disaster you people say it is, it would not be in operation. No system is perfect but ours is about as far as you can get from it.

Study after study shows the countries with universal care spend less and have better results than ours. By all measures, their systems, while not equal to each other, are superior to ours.

I can as easily post anecdotes about the failures in our system. Doing nothing to reform ours is the route to even bigger failure. But as long as you have coverage that's all that matters.

My favorite thing is when one of you subhumans has a handicapped kid or one with enormous health costs. It's hilarious the way you go bleating and whining for help. And speaking of anecdotes, I've actually seen that. A republican acquaintance has a teen daughter with an extremely expenive intestinal condition that has been him a lot beyond his coverage. Guess what? He thinks we need health care reform! What a surprise.

Personally, I'd tell him to piss up a rope.

Odd that he chose electridty and water.

The biggest electricity project in the country was TVA. The government STILL owns the largest part of TVA. When they set up the TVA the caring men from D.C. decided to BYPASS most of the rural south when they layed lines and set up transformer yards. The juice went to cities first. Cities that already had juice, but it was ex-pen-sive.

Water, is ALWAYS CONTROLLED BY THE GOVERNMENT. Anyone who thinks people are thirsty should call City Hall.

Pick better targets you doofus, those were too easy to deflate.

References please?

I have also heard that "study after study shows that schools with dual emmersion perform better than schools which only provide ESL services"

I am all for changing my opinion when somebody can show me facts that are not incestruous and are not produced by the very same people pushing their agenda (either side of the debate).

As far as the school: after 5 years and $X million, it is being shut down as unsalvageable, the teachers laid off and the kids responsible for playing catch up at the rest of the schools in town when they start next year.
