Just so everyone is clear on this...
Heavy Drinkers Outlive Nondrinkers, Study Finds
One of the most contentious issues in the vast literature about alcohol consumption has been the consistent finding that those who don't drink actually tend to die sooner than those who do. The standard Alcoholics Anonymous explanation for this finding is that many of those who show up as abstainers in such research are actually former hard-core drunks who had already incurred health problems associated with drinking.
But a new paper in the journal Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research suggests that - for reasons that aren't entirely clear - abstaining from alcohol does actually tend to increase one's risk of dying even when you exclude former drinkers. The most shocking part? Abstainers' mortality rates are higher than those of heavy drinkers

Here's a Friday Funny, it's kinda cuckoo
A Blonde Goes On Who Wants To Be A Millionaire
Regis: "Barbara, you've done very well so far - $500,000 and one lifeline left -- phone a friend.
The next question will give you the top prize of One Million dollars if you get it right ... but if you get it wrong you will drop back to $32,000 -- are you ready?"
Barbara: "Sure, I'll have a go!"
Regis: "Which of the following birds does not build it's own nest?
Is it........
A-Robin, B-Sparrow, C-Cuckoo, D-Thrush
Remember Barbara its worth 1 Million dollars."
"I think I know who it..but I'm not 100%...
No, I haven't got a clue. I'd like to phone a friend Regis, just to be sure.
Regis: "Yes, who, Barbara, do you want to phone?
Barbara: "I'll phone my friend Maggie back home in Birmingham."
(ringing)
Maggie (also a blonde): "Hello..."
Regis: "Hello Maggie, its Regis here from Who Wants to be a Millionaire-I have Barbara here and she is doing really well on $500,000, but needs your help to be a Million.
The next voice you hear will be Barbara's and she'll read you the question.
There are 4 possible answers and 1 correct answer and you have 30 seconds to answer -- fire away Barbara."
Barbara: "Maggie, which of the following birds does not build it's own nest? Is it:
A-Robin, B-Sparrow, C-Cuckoo, D-Thrush"
Maggie: "Oh Gees, Barbara that's simple.....It's a Cuckoo."
Barbara: "You think?"
Maggie: "I'm sure."
Barbara: " Thanks Maggie." (hangs up)
Regis: "Well, do you want to stick on $500,000 or play on for the Million, Barbara?"
Barbara: "I want to play, I'll go with C-Cuckoo"
Regis: "Is that your final answer?"
Barbara: "It is."
Regis: "Are you confident?"
Barbara: "Yes fairly, Maggie's a sound bet."
Regis: "Barbara.....you had $500,000 and you said C-Cuckoo ...you're right! - You have just won ONE MILLION DOLLARS.
Here is your check. You have been a great contestant and a real gambler. Audience please put your hands together for Barbara."
(wild cheering and clapping)
That night Barbara calls her friend Maggie and takes her out to a local bar for a celebration drink and, as they are sipping their Champagne, Barbara turns to Maggie and asks "Tell me Maggie, How in God's name did you know that it was the Cuckoo that does not build its own nest?
Twirling her hair around a finger..."Listen Barbara, everybody knows that a Cuckoo lives in a clock!"

EPA Now Accepting Public Comment on Petition to Ban Lead in Ammunition and Fishing Tackle
Thursday, August 26, 2010
By Susan Jones, Senior Editor
(CNSNews.com) – Environmental activists are pressing the Obama administration to ban the manufacture, processing and distribution lead shot, bullets, and fishing sinkers under the Toxic Substances Control Act of 1976, but hunting and Second Amendment groups say the EPA lacks the authority to do so, for starters.
A petition submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency on Aug. 3 says ammunition and tackle manufacturers are now marketing a wide variety of non-lead, nontoxic bullets, shotgun pellets and fishing tackle, which can and should be used instead of lead projectiles and weights.
“There is no technological or commercial reason why nontoxic ammunition and fishing tackle with comparable effectiveness should not be substituted for their lead counterparts,” the petition says.
~
"Twitch a finger and I'll fill you full of nontoxic lead counterparts."
Sheesh - that just doesn't do it for me... It looses its 'menace'.

2010? No, It's Really 1984
So, here's my question for today.
Does the Marxist-in-Chief, and his personal Gestapo agents at the DOJ, have the right to electronically track you no matter where you are (outside of your home) or what you're doing?
What was that you said, something about the 4th Amendment? Wrong! According to the infamous 9th Circus out in Mexifornia, the government can track you, and will track you. Not surprisingly, if you're one of the super-elitist comrades from places like Commiewood, you need not fear. This doesn't apply to you. With "our" government in the hands of Marxists, you just know who will be the targets of this new govt. "right". Fortunately, people like Rush, Glenn, and Sarah who have tons of money will "most likely" be safe. Maybe. As for the rest of us? Well, there's always that rusty, old bike in your garage, but then you still have to worry about google and their "eyes in the sky" and strong govt. links. Maybe Orwell wasn't as crazy as people thought he was...

"Could be" Racially Motivated?
So - a bunch of roving "youths" (the story is sketchy about their race) are wondering around beating up white folks.
~
Sgt. David Murillo stated in a report on Friday night, "On-duty officers at the fairgrounds advise there was a group of 30 to 40 individuals roaming the fairgrounds openly calling it 'beat whitey night.' "
~
Sgt. Lori Lavorato said. "It's all under investigation, but it's very possible it has racial overtones."
~
Possible racial overtones? All I can say is 'Well, DUH!'
Sheesh. And this is after all that Obamamamma has done to relieve racial stress.

Do you feel Patriotic in spite of it all????
With our move to Flagstaff (Aug 3) we have been having some fun, and some challenges.
I received a notice of fine from our HOA on Saturday (Aug 21) because my cargo trailer had been parked in front of our house for more than 72 hours in the last 14 days. Ironically I had moved it to a storage location that morning before the mail arrived. I knew that I couldn't park it there for 72 consecutive hours, so I ensured that it spent the night at my office parking lot every other day. The challenge is that there are no storage facilities open before 0700 or after 1900, which happens to be my predominant work schedule....oh, and I was using it on the weekends to move the inordinate amount of crap that we have. What I didn't know was the amendment to the HOA rules which stated that there was a 14 day window......oops.
I have had to change my Boy Scout affiliation from the Utah National Parks Council to the Grand Canyon Area Council. I don't get to be a Venture crew leader for a while, oh well. My son is now a Varsity Scout, so I will try to find a position to work with him. BTW, he worked his little tail off this summer, he managed to earn 13 merit badges in one week at camp. More than any other scout up there. Then with me and the Phys ed professor at the college he and his friends earned 4 more the following week.....yeah, I'm not proud of him.
Anyway, I also have to get myself re-signed up as a merit badge councilor. I was surprised to have the director beg me to work with all scouts in the area.....What? you mean there is an option to only work with some of the kids????? I signed up for the whole sh-bang.
For the last 10 hours I have been sitting at my desk wondering if the cloudy weather has kept all of the stupid people off their ATVs. I haven't had a call in 3 days. Saturday I finished my Master's paper on insurgency and guerrilla warfare from the American Revolution to Present. I got a B. Oh, and as a side note, last week I was forwarded a Distinguished Author award from the Center for Army Lessons Learned for an article I wrote 3 years ago.
So, I'm sitting here and start pulling up merit badge worksheets. I figure that instead of winging it, and only going by what the boys bring in, I will do some of the research myself and have a standard for things I want to see them know and understand. I am signed up to be a councilor for several merit badges to include American Heritage and Citizenship in the Nation.
One requirement is to describe the adoption, changes and influence on Americans of: the flag, the national anthem, the pledge, the seal, and motto. So, my research begins. (Google is a wonderful thing inspite of some of their practices. ) As I read article after article, visit website after website, I am amazed at the time and effort people put into recording the history and meaning of our national symbols. Some of it is super serious and some of it is enlightening and humourous. How many of you know that the melody of the Star Spangled banner was actually a British Gentlemen's club drinking song? Isn't that appropriate or what!!! and then some reminders that brought tears to my eyes. Who remembers that on September 12, 2001 the British Guard band at Buckingham palace played the SSB instead of God Save the King at sundown?
Executive order, with congressional support, changed the national motto from E Pluribus Unim to "In God we Trust" during the 20th century. The pledge has grown from a 15 second blurb commemorating Columbus Day in 1892, to something profound.
What do I think is special about this country? In spite of the idiocy that our elected leaders sometimes perputrate on us, despite the disagreements and polarity of the voting public, despite the need to struggle to make ends meet due to others idiocy, despite so many things.... I am grateful for having been born in and living in this country. I am grateful for the freedoms that I have to work how and where I want to, to worship according to the dictates of my concience and being allowed to worship where, how, and what I choose. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to serve my country...., by my choice, and end that career, again by my choice. And to all of you my friends.....I am grateful that we have the freedom to sit here and voice our opinions and at least we think we can do it legally without reprucussion.
In spite of what the media want us to believe, inspite of what our current diplomatic corps and executive branch are making us look like to the rest of the world,...dang it, I'm proud to be an American, and I will sit here and shamelessly blubber and shed tears and never be ashamed of those that sacrificed before, with their warts and everything, nor of those who shall come after who will honor the American tradition of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

They've lost their phuckin' minds in Philly!!
.
I was (erroneously) taught in grade school that,
.
A) America was ruled by the Constitution, including the 1st Amendment.
.
B) Americans could, under that Amendment, say, sing or put into PRINT anything they wanted.
I don't remember needing a Business License to do that. But in Philadelphia, home of the Liberty Bell, that's how it works now. Here's my question, are they charging ALL free lance writers?

Justice, EU Style
Since so many US leftists, liberals, and socialists are so enamored with the European style of just about everything, with some of our judges, including some of the Leftists on the SCOTUS looking to "international law" to help them make decisions here, could their system of "justice" be in our future? Could you see yourself, or a loved one, being dragged out of your bed in the middle of the night and shipped off to a foreign country for, say, failing to pay a traffic summons, or forgetting that five year old joint you left in your backpack? Does this sound crazy to you? Well, before you start laughing, stop and think about all the other equally-crazy things that are being done to us...

A Warning?
Is America reaching the dreaded "point of no return", a point where going back to what was is no longer possible? Is it possible that our nation, and in fact, our entire way of life, has been so radically altered in the last few years, (while we watched "reality" TV ) that we may not be able to get back to where we were? To many, many people, the answer is yes.
Of course, there are those who would say, "well, America was not perfect so we needed change". Well, America was never meant to be perfect. Nothing is perfect. In fact, perfection is an illusion. But were we that bad that we required such a radical transformation, so much so, that now we're being pushed into being the complete opposite of what the Founding Fathers meant us to be? This nation was based on the notion that we would have a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Do you really feel like you are in control of what was intended to be your government? Do you really believe the people elected to represent us still do so? And, do you believe that something other than our own weakness, gullibility, and disinterest, is to blame? If you do, you're lying to yourself.
We are now in the hands of a lying Marxist who is radically changing our country and our lives, not with a sword or gun, but with his pen, via Executive Orders. Even though it is "his" congress that's in control, he is now even bypassing them because apparently, even they're not radical enough for him. IMO, the people who put Obummer in power, the "real" people, not the voters, understood that they would have perhaps only one term to put their radical agenda in place. This would explain why so much has been shoved down our throats so fast. In fact, most Americans are not aware of half the things that are now law, or of regulations that have assumed control of our everyday lives.
For me, the scary question is, can we still change/stop what's been done? I've heard legal experts say most of these regulations via E.O. can't be changed, even by a new president. I'm not sure i agree with that since any Executive Order that a president signs can be voided by a new president, or certainly by the SCOTUS. Here's another question that scares me. Do the American people still have enough will left to take their country back? I guess we'll see in Nov. If they don't, are the rest of us prepared to "gear up" and do it?

Paging Mr. Rather, Mr. DAN Rather!!
.
A number of years ago, Dan Rather made the statement, " if it walks like a duck...", concerning insurance fraud. Well, we're in another fraud situation, bring on the duck!!
.
Americans increasingly are convinced — incorrectly — that President Barack Obama is a Muslim, and a growing number are thoroughly confused about his religion.
.
Incorrectly my fat, cracked butt! He refused to pray with Christians, Buddhists, and Hindus, but INVITED Muslims to dinner for Eid!! TROT OUT THAT DUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
.
Nearly one in five people, or 18 percent, said they think Obama is Muslim, up from the 11 percent who said so in March 2009, according to a poll released Thursday. The proportion who correctly say he is a Christian is down to just 34 percent.
The largest share of people, 43 percent, said they don't know his religion, an increase from the 34 percent who said that in early 2009.
The survey, conducted by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center and its affiliated Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life, is based on interviews conducted before the controversy over whether Muslims should be permitted to construct a mosque near the World Trade Center site. Obama has said he believes Muslims have the right to build an Islamic center there, though he's also said he won't take a position on whether they should actually build it.
In a separate poll by Time magazine/ABT SRBI conducted Monday and Tuesday — after Obama's comments about the mosque — 24 percent said they think he is Muslim, 47 percent said they think he is Christian and 24 percent didn't know or didn't respond.
In addition, 61 percent opposed building the Muslim center near the Trade Center site and 26 percent said they favor it.
.
BRING ON THE DUUUUUCCCKKKK!

Ohio Turns to Feds for Help in Battle Against Bedbugs
.
For reasons still unknown, bedbugs really seem to like the state of Ohio. The problem is so dire in Cincinnati that some people with infested apartments have resorted to sleeping on the streets.
Cincinnati created a Bedbug Remediation Commission in 2007 and, like other local and national governments around the world, the city is trying to mobilize strategies to control infestations of the resilient insects, which can hide in almost any crack or crevice and can go a year or more without eating. On Aug. 10, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a consumer alert about off-label bedbug treatments, warning in particular of the dangers of using outdoor pesticides in homes. The Ohio Department of Agriculture has mounted a more unusual response to the crisis: it petitioned the EPA for an exemption to allow in-home use of propoxur, a pesticide and neurotoxin banned in the 1990s out of concern for its effects on children.
Although the EPA rejected Ohio's propoxur plea in June, the agency has scheduled an Aug. 18 meeting with state and municipal leaders to try to formulate an abatement strategy everyone can live with. Among the meeting's participants: representatives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and, no joke, the Department of Defense.
.
The Department of Defense? WTF are they going to do? Nuke Ohio?
.
So, I'm guessing we all need to spray more often. And never, EVER sleep with anyone from Ohio.

Freedom of Speech? Not in NYC!!

That esteemed supporter of American Rights, Nancy Pelosi, is at it again.
.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, called for an investigation of those who are protesting the building of the Ground Zero Mosque on Tuesday. She told San Francisco's KCBS.
(there is a link to audio embedded in the article.)
"There is no question there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some. And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded," she said. "How is this being ginned up that here we are talking about Treasure Island, something we've been working on for decades, something of great interest to our community as we go forward to an election about the future of our country and two of the first three questions are about a zoning issue in New York City." (h/t Kristinn)
Calls to investigate the funding for those proposing the $100 million "Cordoba House" have fallen on deaf ears, though, as New York's Mayor Mike Bloomberg has described such an investigation as "un-American."
.
As usual, she's on the Anti-American side of the issue. But if you need a chuckle, read the Comments.
.
And before you get started Anon, IF Shaaria Law gets instituted, YOU, Pelosi, and all of the bend-over-take-it-in-the-tail pipe supporters, will be first to be killed under Islamic control.

My "BULLSHIT" Alarm is wailing loudly
.
Superman, Iron Man, Spiderman. Bad role models. According to the pointy headed, liberal, shrinks anyway.
.
Study: Superheroes Might Not Be Such Super Role Models
.
What's that you say? A rogue vigilante, who dons a mask at night to fight crime while using illegal weapons, with no endorsement from local law enforcement authorities, may not be a good role model for young boys?
Incredulity aside, it turns out that even some of the "nicer" comic-book heroes might not be so good for the kids. That's the conclusion of a new study of current superhero movie characters (how does one apply for this job?). The researchers behind the study shared their findings at the American Psychological Association convention this past Sunday. What's most surprising about the results of the study is that it doesn't necessarily vilify all of these powerful characters -- just modern-day superheroes. The superheroes your parents watched and read many moons ago? Those guys were just fine.
Sharon Lamb from the University of Massachusetts-Boston, who spoke on behalf of the study, explained: "Today's superhero is too much like an action hero who participates in non-stop violence; he's aggressive, sarcastic, and rarely speaks to the virtue of doing good for humanity. When not in superhero costume, these men, like Iron Man, exploit women, flaunt bling, and convey their manhood with high-powered guns."
.
I'm guessing that a GOOD role model would be a half-caste, son of an absentee father, bound to a Marxist revolution, whether the majority wants it or not!?
.
One nut burger threw this out, without any tag as to which super hero it would be.
.

Psalm 109.8
From a ministers wife...
We were in slow moving traffic the other day and the car in front of us had an Obama bumper sticker on it. It read, 'Pray for Obama. Psalm 109:8'.
My husband's Bible was lying on the dash board, so he opened it up to the scripture and read it. He started laughing and laughing. Then he read it to me; I couldn't believe what it said, I had a good laugh too.
Psalm 109:8: "Let his days be few and let another take his place of leadership."
At last, I can voice a Biblical prayer for our President!
Look it up - it is word for word!
Let us all bow our heads and pray.

The Time Warner Center Facilities Department advises that bed bugs have been detected in Time Warner Center. This determination was made after testing was conducted on several floors of the building. In response, Time Warner Facilities is working with pest control providers to address the issue in an environmentally safe manner, and during non-working hours. Generally, bed bugs do not carry or transmit disease. Information about bed bugs and their eradication is available at http://home2.nyc.gov/html/doh/downloads/pdf/vector/vector-faq1.pdfIf you have questions, please contact your HR adviser. And be assured that Turner Broadcasting is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.

I do disagree with this...Generally, bed bugs do not carry or transmit disease...and here's why. My brother lived in a cheap @$$ apt in MN for about 6 months. His place had these little buggers. He contacted the flesh eating staff infection from them. His doctor told him that was the usual problem, besides the itching bites of course. So, the statement seems bogus to me.
.
But ain't it funny, that they've got bugs at CNN!!?

As if the Messiah and Chief hadn't given us enough reasons to want him OUT of the WH. Yesterday, he decides to side with the Islamic radical supporter and his followers and the short sighted NYC liberatti, in favor of building the mosque near Ground Zero. Then today he tries to step away. But how long do you get to keep jumping back and forth? Generally just 4 years.

Obama's comments take mosque story national
.
President Barack Obama on Saturday sought to defuse the controversy over his remarks on plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero, insisting that he wasn’t endorsing the specific project but making a general plea for religious tolerance toward all.
"In this country we treat everybody equally and in accordance with the law, regardless of race, regardless of religion,” Obama told reporters Saturday when asked about his remarks at a White House dinner marking the start of Ramadan.
.
Spoke at a Ramadan Dinner? But, isn't he the same President Obama who doesn't pray with Christians?

Transparency
Do you remember back when Mullah Obummer was running for the WH, when he said his government would be "the most transparent in our history"? And do you recall when Queen Botox stood up in the House and said she would "empty the swamp of corruption via transparency"? Well, the only thing she's managed to empty the swamp of is any and all opposition to her rule. As for Mullah Obummer, his promise of transparency was simply one of hundreds of lies he told to the nation of fools. And of course, they bought it hook, line, and sinker.
I don't know what the voters will do in Nov., nor do i know who the next president will be in 2012. What i do know is that it may take decades, (if ever) to weed out all the Obamunists that have been buried in "our" government, and maybe even longer to accurately access the damage they've done, and continue to do...

The Reality Of Fear
Did you ever think you would see a time when Demoncrats would throw one of their most loyal group of supporters under the bus? For those few who aren't aware of just how scared and desperate the Demoncrats really are, with the mid-terms only a few short months away, this article may finally prove it to you.
What's it about? Well, the Marxist-in-Chief, and all his little Obamunist worshippers in the WH, have decided to throw his loyal food-stamp people under the bus in favor of, you guessed it, the equally loyal, and predominately communist, teachers unions. I guess the thinking here is, why help the food stamp people, who only take, when it's the teachers unions who give all the money, and who can almost guarantee most of the Jewish vote. Good thinking comrades. In fact, this plan does what the Republicans don't have the brains, the will, or the balls to do. It divides the enemy's forces. Ironically, it's a well-used and effective trick usually used by the Left on the Repubs. The cracks are starting to show, and they're getting deeper and wider.
I remember being in Vegas some years ago and watching one of those old hotels being brought down by a controlled implosion. It was truly exciting to watch. Funny, but i'm getting that same feeling of excitement watching the same thing happen to the Demoncrats.... I love it!

Does It Hurt When You Sit?
By now, you have all heard about the strong attempt to build a mosque, (or shrine to Islam) a few short yards from Ground Zero in NYC. Not only would this mosque be an insult to the 3000+ innocent people murdered there, but a clear and deliberate slap-in-the-face to us as a nation. I'm not an expert on the koran, but i'm told that Islam demands a shrine be built on the site of their military victories. And in the world of radical Mooselambs, Ground Zero is to them just that, a military victory.
Now it seems, the mysterious imam who's in charge of building this mosque wants to take a trip to the Middle East to "spread the word of peace". I'm not sure why you would need to spread the word of peace to people who claim to follow the so-called "religion of peace", but that's just me. And since he now lives in this Nation of Fools, he feels the tax-paying sheeple should pick up the tab! How's that for balls. But wait, it gets better. His Mooselamb brother in the Oval Office thinks this is a great idea, and so does his fat-assed lap dog, Hitlary Clinton. It's not enough that we were just bent over and made to pay for Mrs. Obummer's fancy shopping trip to Spain, now we're gonna pay for this guy to go back home, hand out State Dept. visas to everybody he sees, and recruit some terrorists to help him.
Some Updates: In the last few days, it turns out that the Mooselambs may have lied about their ownership of this site. Con-Edison, our local electricity provider, (see: monopoly) is half owner of this property, and never gave an ok for the mosque to be built! Also, the head of the east-cost construction workers unions has said that "not one union construction worker will step foot on that site, nor will any non-union workers be allowed to work there". And, since construction workers are known for being violently patriotic, this could get real interesting. If you got up this morning feeling like you were the victim of a violent anal intrusion, now you know why...

'Mother'? You don't need no stinkin' mother
~
From the openly activist progressive judge who overruled 7,000,000 voters on Calipornia Prop 8, we have these little tidbits thrown into his written decision:
~
(CNSNews.com) - U.S. District Judge Vaughn R. Walker, who ruled last week that a voter-approved amendment to California’s constitution that limited marriage to the union of one man and one woman violated the Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, based that ruling in part on his finding that a child does not need and has no right to a mother.
Nor, he found, does a child have a need or a right to a father.
~
Well, blow me down.
His decision that homosexuals may marry is apparently his soapbox for advocating homosexual adoption. It takes a Village(people) to raise children.

"considerable way to go"
.
Ben Bernanke says the economy has a "considerable way to go".
.
Well, that's odd. His boss, Mr. Ospenda, says we're doing great and that the Porkulus worked.

Now I'm no Rhodes Scholar, like Clinton, nor a Ivy League grad like Mr. Ospenda, but when one guy says, "all is well", and another guy says, "it didn't work yet!", somebody is totally full of crap! And looking around at the economy, with new jobs still MIA, houses still not selling, foreclosures still going up, new car sales in a slump, blah, blah, blah, and as much as it pains me to pick either of these morons as being right, I'm backing Bernanke.
.
UPDATE minutes later
.
U.S. Economy Is Increasingly Tied to the Rich
.
And all this time I was looking for a job, working for a middle-aged minority woman, you know, someone on welfare, living in the PJs, raising her grandchildren because her kids are in jail and her husband is gone. But it's people WITH money who buy things and spur the economy first!! Imagine my surprise, finding out now that it doesn't work the other way!

WaPo must have been hard up for filler this weekend..

AND Another,

Obama's economic team exhausted
.
I guess "spinning" the economics news and lying about it for 18 months is hard work?

Now, given the fact that the economy is NO better, jobs are still being lost, housing is still a problem, taxes are headed up NOW but Obamacare doesn't start for 3 more years, the war drags on, ethics is still a problem, illegal aliens are still stealing jobs African-Americans used to do, why is he SO popular with the African-American community?
.
He's done nothing, given them only promises and he's about to lose his lock on Congress. So, why is he SO popular with the African-American community?
.
Certainly it can't be as small as common skin color. Can it? I was taught that liking or disliking someone because of their skin color was racism. I mean, seriously, I thought the first requirement for being a racist, was to have white skin!!

The Mosque: Something To Think About
As many of you know by now, the plan to build a very controversial mosque within yards of Ground Zero has now been officially approved. The first ok was given by the local community board which is made up of local residents, most of whom are Leftist/ultra Leftist Jews. Then came the NYC Landmarks Preservation Committee, a group of very liberal, "unelected" political appointees who most NY'ers have never even seen before. Their decision was then affirmed by "His Majesty" Bloomberg making it official.
What i personally find amazing, albeit not surprising, is that people, (Muslims) who have sworn to eradicate Jews (and all other non-believers) should be given so much support from Jews. But, this is NYC, and especially Manhattan, where Liberalism trumps all. Below is a list of points which were submitted by a commenter to the liberal NY Daily News today. I found them very interesting and informative. Hope you do also. (Note; below are the words of the commenter, not mine, although i do agree with them)..
Can a good Muslim also be a good American?
Theologically: No. . . .Because his allegiance is to Allah, The moon god of Arabia.
Religiously - no.. . . Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256) (Koran.)
Scripturally - no. . . Because his allegiance is to the five Pillars of Islam and the Quran.
Geographically - no . Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.
Socially - no. . . Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.
Politically - no.. . . Because he must submit to the mullahs (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel, and destruction of America, 'the great Satan'.
Domestically - no. .. . Because he is instructed to marry four women, and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34.)
Intellectually - no. . Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles, and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.
Philosophically - no. . . . Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran does not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.
Spiritually - no.. . . Because when we declare 'one nation under God,' The Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as heavenly Father, nor is he ever called Love in the Quran's 99 'excellent names.
"Therefore, after much study and deliberation.... perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. - - - They obviously cannot be both 'good' Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish, it's still the Truth. You had better believe it. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future. The religious war is bigger than we know or understand..."

Is It Racism Or Justice?
Looking at Jimbo's article below, this seems to be Racial Monday.
Thanks to the limitless guilt of bleeding-heart liberals, (they're the ones who put Hussein in the WH) there are those blacks who believe their race is a free "you are above the law" card which many play for all it's worth. In this case, i'm talking about black elected government officials who seem to find it very difficult, or unnecessary, to be honest. Many of them apparently feel their race gives them the right to cheat, steal, and lie, and of course, anyone who doesn't like it is a racist. In fact, we've reached the point where to simply disagree with a black, especially a black politician, is racist. It is the perfect liberal-supplied shield to hide behind.
Is it racist to accuse a black elected official of being dishonest when there is more than enough evidence to make such a charge, especially when those charges are coming from congress's own Ethics Committee? If you're a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, and you've been caught doing something wrong, i'm sure you think it's racist. And while i'm at it, isn't the fact that there's a Congressional Black Caucus, and not a Congressional White Caucus, racist in and of itself? And what of the sheeple? You know, all the tens-of-millions of fools who go to work every day to pay for all these govt. crooks, be they black or White. Do they think that being black is a license to steal?
In the real world, (outside of politics) when blacks are apprehended for committing a crime, the first thing most say is, "you're picking on me because i'm black", which is exactly what these elected crooks are saying. They would like the world to believe (as liberals believe) that blacks make-up the majority of people in prison because we're a racist nation, not because they commit most of the violent crimes. In the case of the criminals, my answer was always, "no, i'm picking on you because you committed a crime, and you were dumb enough to get caught"!
As for the elected crooks in this article, and since they're being "investigated" by other elected crooks, i doubt we'll see much justice here. The only chance the sheeple have of seeing some justice done will be because of the upcoming mid-term elections. Most Demoncrats know they're looking straight into the eyes of the local unemployment office. No more power. No more bribes. No more freebies. No more playing God. And that thought is enough to make most of them lynch their own kids...

Appeals court considering UT's use of race in admissions
Three-judge panel in New Orleans to hear oral arguments on Tuesday.
Is the University of Texas violating the law by considering race and ethnicity when it decides whom to admit to its freshman class?
That question will be debated Tuesday before a three-judge panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans.
The case, filed in 2008 by two white students who were denied admission, is the first challenge of a university's affirmative action policies since the U.S. Supreme Court upheld affirmative action at the University of Michigan's law school in 2003.
~
U.S. District Judge Sam Sparks of Austin sided with the university last year when he threw out the case filed by Abigail Fisher and Rachel Michalewicz , who claimed that UT's race-conscious policy violated their civil and constitutional rights. By then, the two had enrolled elsewhere.
Sparks said in his ruling that UT's admission system includes some race-neutral policies, such as a state law guaranteeing admission to students who rank in the top 10 percent of their high school graduating class and scholarships aimed at underrepresented parts of the state.
"But, despite those efforts, UT still found diversity lacking in its student body and thus decided to consider race as part of its admissions process," the judge wrote.
~
(Emphases mine.)
It's been said many times, but I'll say it again: When these liberal social "engineers" insist that short slow white boys and even shorter slower Mexicans must be admitted to the UT Basketball team, then I'll consider taking them seriously. Until then they remain the most evil of racists; they perpetuate racism to meet their own selfish ends.
