Was the 9/11 attack on America an act of terrorism, or an act of war by a nation state?
On 9-11-01, America was attacked on it's home turf. In terms of lives lost, it was an attack even more devastating than Pearl Harbor. But the attack on Pearl Harbor made us rise up and go to war. The attack on the WTC only made us go back to sleep.
For generations, there has been plenty of evidence to show that the socialist FDR, and top members of his administration, (knew) the attack was coming but did nothing to stop it, since it was the fastest way to get the US involved in what was to become WWII. At the time, the American people were (rabidly) against getting involved in Europe's war. Did FDR, in order to keep a promise he made to Churchill, see a perfect opportunity, and take it?
Did the US govt. (know) 9/11 was going to happen, or, were there so many stupid and incompetent people in charge that they never saw it coming. Or, were 3000+ Americans murdered simply because our govt. was afraid to upset the price of oil?
Have we been had again?

Bushs Fault
Can't find a good bush these days.
They're often shaved
EEEEWWWWWWW!
So I can keep my beard?
And yer bad breath
I'm no lover of FDR nor the screwed up course he set the country on. But the 'implication' that anyone knew WHEN and / or WHERE the Japanese would attack is plain old false.
And that the Saudi's were 'involved' isn't close to being news, and I'm betting that's who it is. They are THE biggest monetary and spiritual supporters of Islam.
But I'm betting these Congressman are going to push for a release of this intel, JUUUUSSST before the election cycle. And they'll blame Bush, and tie ALL Conservatives to it. That (R) is an ex Democrat and his Conservative views are getting lower by the year.
He'll swap back to the (D) side if it suits his staying in office.
Nobody said where or when the Japs would attack. Only that they were going to attack. That's been documented. Even the Brits knew it. Add to that a stunning amount of stupidity and confusion on the part of the US government, and, BOOM!
Part of the problem in ALL of the Far East, including Hawaii, was the rampant racist idea that the Japanese 'couldn't' build ships or planes that were as good, or better, than those in the West.
The one thing that cost US the most at Pearl Harbor, was the idea that ASIANS couldn't fly an airplane, because of an equilibrium problem caused by their mothers carrying them 'papoose style' when they were babies. Now, sports fans, that's NOT an apocryphal tale, it's IN actual gov't / DoW documents found during the investigation into WHY / HOW the attack on Dec 7, 1941 happened.
I'm guessing they hadn't HEARD about the Empire of Japan using ships and planes to invade China or to help control Korea over the preceding years? To me, it's the same kind of self-serving, sureness of Western superiority that periodically costs us dearly on dates like Dec 7, or Sep 11, or ???, in the future.
So, how many Asian football players are there and how many Niggas carried they little Munkys Papoose style?
Jus sayin.
With all the evidence now available, it would be pretty naive to believe the attack on Pearl was not known beforehand.
nanner mouse...with all the evidence "now available" a lot of things are amazing that we let happen.
Unfortunately, it is the evidence "then available" that determines our course of action, but only sometimes. There is plenty of evidence "now available" that we will soon be following the economic path of Greece, but we are not doing anything about it. There is plenty of evidence "now available" that the current CinC is a pathological liar or overtly incompetent, yet people still rally around his every breath and claim that the only reason all of his plans don't work is because conservatives won't let them, contrary to evidence "now available".
I don't doubt that FDR knew that the Japanese were going to attack, I don't think he knew when, and didn't know exactly where, just where it was likely. I think he planned on using an attack in order to get us into the war, he just had to wait for the "right" opportunity.
Having worked at echelons well above reality, the top people, usually only know what the nuggets want them to know....or what they have told the nuggets what they want to know, so that they have plausible deniability. It seems like the current CinC doesn't want to know anything....assuming he knows how to tell the truth.
He knew, he just didn't want to piss off his voter base which was still super isolationist after WW I.
alan,
you''re not gonna bring him around.
