An Assault On Our Children

Personally, i would destroy anything or anyone who threatens my grandchildren. I'm sure you all feel the same. But, it gets a lot tougher to protect them when that threat is coming from government-sponsored entities and when the damage to them is being done a little at a time, and on a daily basis. Yes, it's called, "indoctrination" (see: brain washing) and it's being done by the very same people we entrust to educate and protect our most precious possessions.

Have we, as a society, become so weak, gullible, and distracted, that we even lack the will to protect our young from such deep and long-lasting damage? I once read that, "any society that cannot/will not protect it's young doesn't deserve to go on..." I wonder if they meant us...

CHILDREN? Of course, I love children... If they're properly cooked that is.......

Poots,
you never change. Outrageous. And hungry I guess too.

Spider,
this is just another thing that parents and grandparents have to un-teach at home. IMHO, it just gets added to a LONG list of stuff we're ALREADY un-teaching.

Yes I think it's wrong of them TO tech it. But until we take back control of our country, it's not gonna change.

At Emilys school they picked 1 kid from each class for an overall achievement award. So she was it from her class. Big surprise and Lin went and took pix.
Yesterday when the cadets were singing the Anthem, I heard Emily singing along in the background. Las Sendas Elementary School.. Maybe one of the few left that still do the Pledge and sing the anthem every morning.
Ya'll should google Las Sendas and the school so you can see what I'm talking about. The entire USA hasn't turned into shit quite yet.

When accosted by Greenpeace nutjobs a few years back, my then 8 year old responded to, "But little girl, don't you like whales"? Her deadpanned response was, "it depends on the sauce."

You've got a point Steve, but if we have to spend all our time un-teaching them, what time does that leave to teach them what they really need to know?

Obviously, the answer is home schooling.

I've always had good luck doing my un-teaching in adavance and then re-teacing the un-teaching when needed.

It must have worked, my kids are some of the few non-libs of the generation. Both joined the military, the elder is about to retire from the Navy.

My grandkids at least question stuff like global warming and such clap trap.

The problem with most parents I see, is that they are so wrapped up in their OWN lives, the kids come second. Until the kids are on trouble or out of control or there about.

BOW,
I love that line and I hope to use it soon!

My same daughter was one of only 2 kids in her middle school who questioned not hearing about the othder candidates during the last presidential election. Home schooling isn't necessarily the answer. Forcing the schools to encourage debate of all points of view is so that these kids grow up to be critical thinkers on their own. I remember the Nixon - Humphrey contest and how my teachers encouraged discussion rather than lecturing us. To this day I never found out who she voted for. That is the way it should be.

Bill, until you can rest control of the education system away from the communist-controlled teachers unions, nothing will change, except perhaps, to get worse. The radical Left controls the system which is why children are indoctrinated. All we can do is hope that with our guidence, our children are strong and wise enough to not be affected. It is not easy for them.

There are a few educators, even here in NYC, who still have the power to teach rather than indoctrinate. You have to look for it in the better schools. In Brooklyn, eg., Midwood HS has a conservative Social Studies Chairman. There are several others, although they are greatly outnumbered.
