So, Where Are They?

My question refers to the Tea Party, those large and loud groups, (albeit lawful and non-violent ) of We The People who were totally responsible for the Republicans being able to take control of the House in 2010. They were also responsible for scaring the hell out of the Demoncrats, the MSM, and the Left in general. They were not used to seeing, nor were they prepared for, the American sheeple actually rising up and making their voices heard. Personally, i was happy and proud to be part of that movement. So, were are they?

Very little has been heard from the movement since 2010. In fact, the Left, seeing that the movement seems to have run out of gas, (or guts, or will, or zeal, etc.) now considers the Tea Party a one-time anomaly and nothing to fear. And that's very bad news for all of us who know that we, and our country, are in very real danger. The weak and gutless Republican Party, without the passion and push from the Tea Party, will not help save the country, as they are not all that different from the Demoncrats.

So, what's wrong with the Tea Party? Many believe it's too many voices. Too many leaders, and far less zeal than when it started. If that's true, and i personally believe there's a lot of truth in that assessment, we are in BIG trouble. If the Tea Party was ever needed, it's now...

Well, well, well. It seems that someone has finally found a judge who had a copy of the US Constitution, and actually read it! Apparently, there is still some justice left in this country. Not much, but some.

Anon,
he's dead. But those principles aren't.

A. Levy,
thanks for that, it's obviously NOT being widely reported.

Spider,
that link at Fox listed much of what I would have said regarding the 'tea baggers'. [is it me, or aren't the (D)s like a bunch of mean girls in 9th grade? calling names and whining about fairness] Many of the candidates this go around are Tea Party backed and affiliated. I'm looking forward to the post Romney Presidency.

THAT'S when we'll see more of the Paul Ryan, Bobby Jindal, et al, in front row spots for President, etc. If nothing else they are flooding out the old guard, GWB / McCain style Republicans.

We don't need none, don't want none. Never again.

Steve, i realize that some candidates are Tea Party backed. What i meant was the TP's lack of a public face as they had in '09, which got us the House. I fear the TP is becoming (or has become) the new "silent majority" of years ago, a great movement which died because they were too silent. In light of the fact that we are also at war with the MSM, being silent will not get 'er done!

I don't think it's as much of a matter of being 'silent' this time. But the MSM, after making the mistake of making fun of them in '09, has 'silenced' the TP in the media now. I get e-mails from my NC Tea Pert weekly, so I know they're still out there, working and pushing.

I think the point is continuing to be made. The MSM isn't repoting on them so much because the fear the truth of what the Tea Party generally stands for. Much of what we heard is how out of the main the ideas of the Tea Party are, but in reality the MSM decided it is better to ignore them, just as they ignore the Libertarians. The Republicans want to include them, just as they want to include Libertarians, without without making too much fuss. Remember, the left attempts to marginalize and call extreme anyone who wants to bring America back to its founding ideals. And the masses, who are promised everything for nothing, eat it up. so, IMHO, the Tea Party is alive and well. And those old ideas are new again.

...once again BoW's proves he's quite 'eloquent', whereas I'm closer to 'elephant'! Lots of trumpeting and stomping around.

Elequent as always, but IMO, the MSM isn't reporting on the Tea Party simply because there's noting to report. There are no marches, no gatherings, no protests, no public meetings, no nothin. It's just what the old Silent Majority did back then, just before they dried up and blew away.

I truly hope you guys are right, in that, they are working behind the scenes. But, when you're fighting enemies like the Demoncrats, the MSM, and the rest of the hard-core left, sometimes a strong frontal attack is a good thing. It kinda lets the enemy know they're not out there alone.
