Wednesday's Wits

For those of you that do not know about the military Warrant Officer Program, it is great and wonderful.  I present the following definition:

A military officer, usually a skilled technician or a helicopter pilot, intermediate in rank between a noncommissioned officer and a commissioned officer, having authority by virtue of a warrant.

My annual evaluation reports always included the phrase "Technical and tactical expert..."  In modern parlance, because Warrant Officers have now become commissioned and are branched, we refer to the "other" officers as RLO's or Real Life Officers.  The biggest difference is that Warrants are on a technical track, doing the same thing at more complex levels for an entire career, while RLO's are on a command track, hoping to one day be Chief of Staff.  The only services which still employ Warrants are the Army and Marine Corps.  On a side note, there are some Warrants who inadvertantly find themselves in command positions, some by design, and some because the higher RLO can't find a subordinate RLO that he trusts enough to get the job done.

I found a sheet that kind of defines the attitudes of Warrant Officers.

Warrant Officer 1 --- Glad he isn't anyone of these:

Chief Warrant Officer 2:  Says "Watch this".  Minutes later, at the hospital....

Chief Warrant Officer 3:  Shows up late to formation with an offensive coffee mug, unshined boots, and outlandish "Sam Eliott" mustache.  Nobody says anything because they don't recognize him.  They haven't seen him in weeks, but his outbox is always piled high with work, usually grease & dirt smeared.

Chief Warrant Officer 4 & 5:   The Tower and the Light Saber.   Nobody knows where they belong.  They know it.  Nobody knows what they do.  They know it.  so they leave for a 10 day pass to go hunting that they awarded themselves.

It's good to be the king.

More death worshiping in America

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/10/30/irvine-woman-wants-roadside-memorial-to-honor-fish-killed-in-truck-crash/?test=latestnews

about a week ago, one of my buddies sent me a link to a radio call in audio recording.  This woman called in and was hoping to get some visibility on a problem that she thought was important and the local government officials were ignoring her.

The problem was that the DPW kept picking the worst possible places to put DEER XING zones!  she had been involved in 3 accidents in the previous 6 months because the deer crossing zones were in high traffic area.  Her argument was that the zones should be in less populated areas where people were less likely to run into them.   but anyway.....

I have to shake my head that a woman in the land of fruits & nuts wants to have a memorial built where a truck full of food rolled over and the said food accelerated it's decomposition so that it was no longer suitable to be consumed by humans.  Her argument is that fish are our friends, (even if they are food) and we should memorialize their pain and suffering (because they have feelings too) when a tragic accident occurs (even if their oldest and fondest memory is only 3 seconds old)

Memorializing dead criminals-- a must, because they are really just misunderstood souls who never really had a chance at life

but soldiers and police officers who are killed in the line of duty?.....well it was their job to die.

on a side note....happy non-religious holiday to celebrate make believe night mares that has nothing to do with fun, but instead centers on teaching extortion to children so that their parents can have higher dental bills..... or......Happy Halloween!

...how's about the Saudi King takes a LONG walk on a SHORT pier!!l

Saudi King urges UN action against religious insults
.
Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz on Saturday demanded a UN resolution condemning insults on monotheistic religions after a low-budget film produced in the US sparked deadly protests last month.

"I demand a UN resolution that condemns any country or group that insults religions and prophets," he said during a meeting at his palace with religious figures and heads of hajj delegations in the Mina valley where pilgrims were performing final rituals of hajj.

"It is our duty and that of every Muslim to protect Islam and defend the prophets."

A low-budget film produced in the US, Innocence of Muslims, triggered a wave of deadly anti-American violence last month across the Muslim world targeting US symbols ranging from embassies and schools to fast food chains.

Saudi Arabia had threatened to block YouTube in the kingdom if Google did not respond to a request to deny access to the video footage of the film. YouTube then extended its restrictions on the video to Saudi Arabia.

The king also called on Saturday for the "unity of the Islamic nation (and) rejecting division to face the nation's enemies" as he urged for dialogue among Muslims.
 .
I've got a request for the King, and the U.N.  How about they use their powers of friendship to stop MUSLIMS from KILLING everyone, everyday, everywhere?  I'm just thinking that the thoughtless boobs around the world, might quit slandering Muslims if said Muslims will quit killing them.
.
And the King knows he's full of crap as a Christmas goose too on the whole 'video caused the killings in Benghazi' BS.  He's following that line of crap because the last thing His Majesty wants is a strong, Republican in the WH.  One that might call him to account for his support of Wahhabist Imams.

But, Allah forbid anything be asked of the Muslim world.

Colin Powell, staunch Republican. Yep, it sounds like BS to me too! .

I've never been a Colin Powell fan.  I lost any respect I had gained for him during Desert Storm, when he advised GHWB to NOT follow the Iraqi Republican Guard rightTF back into Saddam's MFing living room.  (...I don't care if you excuse my language, I'll tell you why...)

As we know, Saddam was a thorn in our side for years after that AND he may have even supported some of the 9/11 Hijackers.  But IF Powell hadn't given Bush that advice, maybe 9/11 falls apart?  Or as a minimum Saddam Hussein wouldn't have killed and tortured ALL the people he did between the first Gulf War and the current fracas.  All said and done and history known, Colin Powell just is NOT a Republican in my mind as he opted for the 'feelings' of the UN and the Muslims in the ME, over winning the damned war and stopping Saddam once and for all..

Beyond ALL that, Powell has now endorsed Obama for a second time!

So I ask you, friends and neighbors, just WTF kind of Republican would do THAT, given all we know, or have been unable to know over the last 4 years?

I think the term is RINO.  And if I gots ta tell ya' the daffynition of dat, you an't much of a Republican or Conservative or Libertarian, ya'damn'seff!

They Never, Ever, Stop Trying

Here's another example of liberalism at work...

CHICAGO (Reuters) - The top executive of the county that includes Chicago took aim at gun owners on Thursday, proposing a tax on bullets and firearms to help defray healthcare expenses associated with the high rate of gun violence. If approved by the Cook county commission, the nation's third most populous county could be the first major metropolitan area in the nation to impose a tax as a form of gun control, according to the left-wing Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence.

Facing a $267.5 million fiscal 2013 budget gap, County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, (a black female Demoncrat) proposed a tax of 5 cents per bullet and $25 on each firearm sold. The tax would generate about $1 million, the county estimates. "The violence in Cook County is devastating and the wide availability of ammunition only exacerbates the problem," Preckwinkle said in her budget address. Chicago's murder total so far this year is 419, up from 336 over the same period last year, an increase of nearly 25 percent, according to the Chicago Police Department. (note they don't mention how much of that crime is committed by law abiding citizens because the number is too small to even register )

"Acute trauma care for a shooting victim costs $52,000 on average (and 70 percent of shooting victims have no insurance,") she said, adding that 670 such victims were treated last year by the county's health system "at an enormous cost." (hey, how about making the perps pay for it?) When a victim has no insurance the county picks up the tab. Taxes on buyers or sellers of guns and/or ammunition have been proposed, but failed in six states, including California, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania, according to the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence.

Tennessee has a hunting-related, 10-cents tax on shotgun shells and cartridges which applies to sellers; the money is used to support wildlife resources. "It seems like a really good way to reimburse, to some extent at least, the government for the huge costs for all the uninsured people who are hospitalized and treated for gun injuries," said Laura Cutilletta, senior staff attorney for the leftist, anti-gun, San Francisco-based Law Center. She said the proposal doesn't violate the second amendment or state laws. "It would just be a matter of whether politicians have the courage to go against the gun lobby, which will come out full force against it," Cutilletta said.

Illinois State Rifle Association Executive Director Richard Pearson called the proposal "another in a long string of schemes to punish law-abiding firearm owners and firearm dealers. "This latest proposal ... will raise very little revenue and do nothing to stem the violent crime that Cook County has become famous for," Pearson said in a statement released last week ahead of the budget unveiling. He said firearm dealers will avoid the tax by moving out of the county.

Preckwinkle's $2.9 billion spending plan also takes on smoking and gambling (are they criminals too?) by calling for a $1 increase in the county's current $2 per pack cigarette tax to raise $25.6 million and an annual $800 per year tax on video gambling machines to generate $1.3 million...

Friday Funny (not really)

Today's FF is Barack Hussein Obama.  No, he's NOT funny.

But he is a joke.

Then again, maybe this isn't an 'OPTIMAL' joke!

Rules For Kicking Ass

Some Rules for kickin' Ass: (Rules for the Non-Military)

Dear Civilians, 'We know that the current state of affairs in our great nation has many civilians up in arms and excited to join the military. For those of you who can't join, you can still lend a hand. Here are a few of the areas where we would like your assistance:

1. The next time you see any adults talking (or wearing a hat) during the playing of the National Anthem- kick their ass
.
2. When you witness, firsthand, someone burning the American Flag in protest - kick their ass.

3. Regardless of the rank they held while they served, pay the highest amount of respect to all veterans. If you see anyone doing otherwise, quietly pull them aside and explain how these veterans fought for the very freedom they bask in every second. Enlighten them on the many sacrifices these veterans made to make this Nation great. Then hold them down while a disabled veteran kicks their ass.

4. If you were never in the military, DO NOT pretend that you were. Wearing battle dress uniforms (BDUs) or Jungle Fatigues, telling others that you used to be 'Special Forces'. Collecting GI Joe memorabilia, might have been okay when you were seven years old, now, it will only make you look stupid and get your ass kicked.

5. Next time you come across an *Air Force* member, do not ask them, 'Do you fly a jet?' Not everyone in the Air Force is a pilot. Such ignorance deserves an ass-kicking (children are exempt).

6. If you witness someone calling the Coast Guard 'non-military', inform them of their mistake - and kick their ass.

7. Next time Old Glory (the US flag) prances by during a parade, get on your damn feet and pay homage to her by placing your hand over your heart. Quietly thank the military member or veteran lucky enough to be carrying her - of course, failure to do either of those could earn you a severe ass-kicking.

8. 'Your mama wears combat boots' never made sense to me - stop saying it! If she did, she would most likely be a vet and therefore would kick your ass!

9. 'Flyboy' (Air Force), 'Jarhead' (Marines), 'Grunt' (Army), 'Squid' (Navy), 'Puddle Jumpers'(Coast Guard), etc., are terms of endearment we use describing each other. Unless you are a service member or vet, you have not earned the right to use them. Using them could get your ass kicked.

10. Last, but not least, whether or not you become a member of the military, support our troops and their families. Every Thanksgiving and religious holiday that you enjoy with family and friends, please remember that there are literally thousands of soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen far from home wishing they could be with their families. Thank God for our military and the sacrifices they make every day. Without them, our country would get its ass kicked.

11. It's the Veteran, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It's the Veteran, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It's the Veteran, not the community organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. It's the Military who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag.

12. If you ever see anyone singing the national anthem in Spanish – KICK THEIR ASS.

Be-lated Friday Funny

A woman from a small southern town goes into the local newspaper office to see that the obituary for her recently deceased husband is written. The newspaper editor informs her the fee for the obituary is a dollar per word.

She pauses, reflects and then says,

"Well, then, just let it read, 'Billy Bob died.'"

Amused at the woman's thrift, the editor says,

"Sorry ma'am but there's a seven-word minimum on all obituaries."

A little flustered, she thinks things over and replies,

"In that case, let it read: 'Billy Bob died - red truck for sale.'

Opinions are like as....

No link tonight, just one man's opinion about last night's debate and today's MSM back tracking and Obama hustling.

First off, the debate in my opinion was a draw.  Both the VP and Rep. Ryan made good points, bad points and some long circuitous tie ins.  However, Ryan outright won on looking like an adult, while Joe Biden looked like someone's half crazy Uncle at a family funeral.  He laughed at all the right times, and he was WAY TOO LOUD at all times.

The best line of the NIGHT was from Ryan when he told Uncle Joe that he was interrupting and that he should know better!!  Biden on the other hand used the term 'my friend' about a dozen times in that typical liberal (D) way that really means, "...this MFer over here...".

"...he wants to distance himself, but MY FRIEND sent me two letters asking for some of the stimulus money for his constituents..."

[...now add the next instead Joe's of 'my friend', and read it again] [...did you sneer when you re-read it?]

Most of the news first thing this morning was about how well Biden did, how badly Ryan did and how the debates don't really mean anything.  I'm not sure just how that all fits together, but they attempt to dovetail it anyway.

I will admit that I have no powers of prognostication, some days I'm not really sure what's going on while it's going on.  But I predict that the current administration will be re-writing resumes come November 7th.

"ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK"?

If you were back in the old west, entering towns like Deadwood, or Tombstone, or Dodge City, you could understand being told to "enter at your own risk ". But Detroit? In 2012? Isn't that supposed to be a civilized place? Well, that would depend on who you ask. If you were to ask the cops in Detroit, (a couple of who i knew) they would not use the word civilized when describing their city.

Now we all know Detroit is one of those places they call, "inner cities ", like DC, Atlanta, East L.A., Newark, NJ, etc. That means they're predominately black, which means they are glaring examples of failed social engineering experiments that bleeding-heart liberals love to tout. Of course, they never mention that none of their "very expensive" social experiments has ever succeed, but hey, what are facts compared to "feeling good". I wonder how good the decent, hard-working, law-abiding people of Detroit feel. Hmm...

Get Ready

It seems that many of the bad things that have a direct or indirect effect on our lives come from that Twilight Zone out on the West Coast, Mexifornia. More often than not, it's "ground-zero" for all the worlds cretins, radicals, goof-balls, and an endless assortment of misfits, and those are just the elected officials. Of course, here in NYC, we have the insatiably greedy Wall St. crooks who always do their part to make our lives a lot worse than they have to be, and all in the name of limitless profits.

Let's just hope the articles below don't make their way across the country, although i'm afraid they've already started... (I paid $4.39 per gal. for 89-oct Mobil yesterday)

Who knew?!!

OK, I'll admit I'm from Kentucky, so I STILL don't see what they did wrong.
.
.
A Chinese restaurant in Kentucky has reportedly been forced to shut its doors after allegedly serving up roadkill.

WKYT.com reports that the Red Flower Chinese Restaurant in Williamsburg was shuttered on Thursday after a customer called the health department when she saw a dead deer being wheeled into the kitchen.

"Two of the workers came in wheeling a garbage can and they had a box sitting on top of it,” Kate Hopkins told the website. “And hanging out of the garbage can, they were trying to be real quick with it. So that nobody could see it. But there was like a tail, and a foot and leg. Sticking out of the garbage can and they wheeled it straight back into the kitchen.”

What was wrong?  What, WHAT!?

Obama's Military

(Fox News) Afghan security forces, our supposed allies, are slaughtering American troops. Thirty-three soldiers have been killed by "green on blue" attacks this year alone. The situation is so bad that the training of Afghan forces has been temporarily suspended.

How has the Pentagon responded? By blaming OUR troops!

Top officials believe culturally offensive behavior is the motivation behind the killings, so it's stepped up Islamic sensitivity training for our troops. "If you don't want to be shot in the back by your Afghan training partners, the Pentagon advises, don't offend their religious sensibilities". Don't kick your feet up on a table, for instance, and never ask to see a picture of their wives and kids. "There's a percentage [of attacks] which are cultural affronts," Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey said in a recent interview. Dempsey echoes the concerns of Gen. Sher Mohammad Karimi, the Afghan National Army's chief of staff, who earlier this month argued both sides need to do more to "teach" foreign troops Islamic traditions and values to reduce the chance of violent reactions to cultural slights. "It is our duty to teach this to them. Our indifference about these issues causes the incident," he said.

In the past three years, uniformed Afghans (have murdered at least 97 US and NATO troops).
The Taliban has taken credit for many of the attacks, but the Pentagon has been reluctant to admit widespread infiltration of the Afghan security forces it's training. Standing up a national army and police force that can protect the US-sponsored government in Kabul is the linchpin of President Obama's announced 2014 withdrawal strategy. Some 120,000 American and other foreign troops mix closely with 350,000 Afghan security forces. Afghan trainees and guards are co-located on US bases, where they share bathrooms, gyms and mess halls. To avoid "offending them", US commanders are putting troops through intense "Muslim sensitivity training." Among other things, they've been ordered to:

* Wear surgical gloves whenever handling a copy of the Koran.
* Never walk in front of a praying Muslim.
* Never show the bottom of boots while sitting or lying across from a Muslim, which in Islam is considered an insult.
* Never share photos of wives or daughters.
* Never smoke or eat in front of Muslims during the monthlong Ramadan fasting.
* Avoid winking, cursing or nose-blowing in the presence of Muslims — all viewed as insults in Islam.
* Avoid exiting the shower without a towel.
* Avoid offering and accepting things with the left hand, which in Islam is reserved for bodily hygiene and considered unclean.

Troops who violate the sensitivity rules face "severe" punishment...
