Because he is so delusional and hateful, I'm not sure Olbermann has a fan base beyond HLF.

He's a sick puppy and he has no objectivity left. But taking on Limbaugh for mis-speaking is about par for his course. If he's all about truth and accuracy, why hasn't he taken on the new Administration about Joe "The Gaffe Monster" Biden and his wandering tongue?

It's pretty clear the left is doing everything it can to taunt and incite Limbaugh, since they see him as the country's most powerful (and dangerous) conservative. What they're hoping for is for him to lose his cool, something he's come very close to doing in the last few days. This morning, the cretins on MSNBC were describing him as, out-of-control, over the edge, etc. If he's not careful, he'll play right into their hands.
Olbermann wants to be the Lib Rush. But it's the difference in being Bob Hope and Pauly Shore. Both funny, both entertaining, but no comparison on total ability. And Olbermann's tongue is too short to reach his cheek. His jibes come off mean, not tinged with humor at all.
Unless they catch Rush in bed with a dead girl or a live boy, he's OK. ONLY the Dems think public figures should have no warts. Wait, they think ONLY CONSERVATIVE public figures are supposed to be wart free.
Democrats are allowed to cheat on their wives, not pay taxes, smoke fishy smelling cigars, lie, cheat, sell Senate seats, run a gay whore house out of their basement...
Don't get me wrong, there are crooked Conservatives too. But they get hammered for it.
Look at just one LEGAL situation. "Senator McCain, just HOW MANY houses do YOU own?"
But wait, John Kerry's money, cars, houses were off limits. Because they really belong to his rich wife. How is it different for McCain?
Kerry: "...that SUV belongs to my FAMILY, not me personally".
Family is of course code for "Teresa bought this big MFer and I get to drive it any time I want!!"
The money came to McCain from his marriage too, but somehow, McCain was seen as just another rich guy wanna be President.
Teresa Heinz Kerry has 10 times Cindy McCains money.
And the SOURCE of the money was suspect for McCain too. BEER!! Ketchup and steak sauce are good All American products, beer, although legal, is somehow tainted.

Steve, comrade Olberman's jibes come off mean because they are. He's not trying to be humorous. He's simply using humor to hide his truly evil intent, which is to destroy anything and anybody that is not from the ultra far-left, as he is.
What's going on here with Rush is the left using one of it's oldest tricks, throw it all against the wall and see what sticks! In other words, keep your enemies on the defensive, and it works every time. In the empty minds of average Americans, defending yourself, even from an obvious lie, makes you "appear" guilty, and that's good enough for the leftists.
If there were more Republicans like Ann, they would still be in power.
