America is all about, high-risk and possible high-reward. We are about people leaving comfortable homes in Europe for the high risk of starting a colony. America is about people leaving comfortable homes in NY and VA and NC. to travel the high-risk route going WAY OUT WEST, to TN, OH, and KY!! And so it went until we had populated the entire country. Businesses were built, fortunes were made, and lost, lives were lost, people suffered, people also got rich and it all helped build the nation.
All those pioneering people, working their asses off, living, working, taking the high-risk for the last 450 years IS AMERICA.
President BOHICA is yet another zero Sum thinker. He assumes that life is supposed to be safe. No risk, means no pain, be safe. I hate that word, S-A-F-E. It's misleading, and BOHICA thinks he can trade "safety" for reward. Well that's a decision he can make for his family, but shoving it down my throat is galling as hell.
Too bad he didn't get some of his parents nerve and drive. They both seem to have been driven to high-risk lives. His father traveled all over the world seeking fame and fortune, his mother married a black man who was Muslim at a time when it was ILLEGAL to do so in many places in America.

He was the Indian's first medicine man on F-Troop. Horton was a long time actor in movies, on radio and on TV. He had several great roles in Fred Astaire / Ginger Rogers flicks. And he was also narrator of "Fractured Fairy Tales".
That's the tie-in of Rocky, Bullwinkle, Sgt O'Rourke and Cpl Agarn. I didn't look it up, I'm deadly at Trivial Pursuit, no one will play me anymore.
The reason he was laughing is because he still can't believe the people elected him! While it's true that you can't fool all the people all the time, it's clear you can fool enough of them to get elected.
