Here we go again. Yo president doesn't seem to be doing so well when it comes to picking people for his cabinet. Now it's Adolfo Carrion, his pick for something called the "urban czar", whatever that is. Translated, i think it means, payback for political favors. Carrion was the Bronx Borough President. In NYC, each borough, (county) has a political hack they call the Borough President. The title means he's one of the biggest crooks in that county. One of, but certainly not the biggest! It also means that all "favors" (see: bribes, contracts, no-show jobs, etc.) must go through him, making the job one with great "benefits". ($$$)
Maybe Yomama should just walk into any Post Office and take the wanted posters off the wall. Just think of all the time he and his staff could save.

I was listening to Michael Savage the other night on my way home from work (I sometimes listen to talk radio for the amusement factor) and he brought up a good point that has sort of stuck in my craw a bit, and won't go away.
I usually don't give much thought to the "tey're picking on republicans and ignoring the faults of Democrats" arguments, but this point, this time, simply stuck with me.
Is it possible that we are only finding out about all of this stuff about these people because of the cabinet position vetting process because the media is giving democrats and liberals a free pass on this stuff? That this is new news simply because the media wasn't looking for it?
That we don't have these problems when a republican administration comes on board because the media has already, and is constantly, vetting republican politicians, so that we don't find out about this stuff once they are invited to a cabinet position?
I don't know the answer, but it does accur to me that a republican politico wouldn't be able to get away with tax evasion for long before the media would be crawling up his ass.
And that is exactly the way it should be!

It does concern me that we are only finding out about this stuff because of the cabinet-level vetting process. It makes me wonder what kind of corruption and graft exists on the left that is being either ignored by the press or not activly sought by the press because that politician agrees with the political views of the press muckity-mucks.
It was an interesting point. Is it possible that the press just isn't doing their job here, and that is why all of this embarrassment is coming up in this late, 11th hour?

I'm sick of it, it's just gotten to the point of ridiculousness. I shudder just what would have been the talking points if GWB had nominated this many slugs. And speaking of liberal slugs, where's HLT on this stuff? I'm sure we'd have to hear about Clarence Thomas and pubic hair, if the topic is bad nominees.
This is kinda off-topic, but have you guys gotten the e-mail about sending a tea bag to the "white house" for April 15, as an alternative to being able to attend a tax day tea party? I thought I'd also send one (English Teatime) to my "representatives", with a note about no taxation with rotten representation.
Svenska, I have but haven't done anything about it. Sending one to our representatives would be like preaching to the choir.
My "representatives" are all a bunch of democrats (with Schumer in the lead) who couldn't care less about what I think - but I tell them anyway.
It fits perfectly here Svenska. We were talking about elected worms who can't get the job done.

I like the sentiment, however it won't work.
Mailing to the White House goes through the mail room. Because there is something in the package, it goes thru secret service. They will decide whether it is forwarded or not. If it is not forwarded, there is no record of its receipt ever forwarded to el Jefe. (Anthrax holdover)

- The only way to get something to the president is to send it as a gift via the "Gift Office."
- However, the "Gift Office" hasn't been established yet, and there is no set time line.
- She can't give out the screening rules, so that you can prepare a package that will be delivered.
Possible options:
- Fax pictures of tea bags to all
- Physically deliver tea bags to congressional offices (you can't drop them off at the white house)
- Call and say "tea bag"

And Goob, did you just realize there's a double standard in the MSM? There may be 1 or 2 of them that are getting these stories out because they may feel betrayed by the Dumbocrats they've been worshiping. But for the rest, i think they're being pushed by the blogs and don't want to be left out completely. They see the changes that are coming in the news delivery business.
