Better Dead Than Red

Back in the 50's and 60's, Better Dead Than Red was a popular saying. It meant, "i'd rather be dead than be a Red". (ie. a Communist)

Out in Mexifornia, the saying has a somewhat different meaning. Out there in the twilight zone, it means they'd rather vote for a dead person than a (red state) Republican. Hell, they'd vote for anything or anybody rather than a Republican. Last night they elected Jerry Brown, their former governor, and a total psycho, as their new governor! This is the guy they had in mind when they coined the phrase, tin-foil hat. This guy is so off-the-wall that even the little voices in his head are afraid to talk to him. But it is Mexifornia, and no one expects anything normal to come from that place. I'm a bit surprised Meg Whitman didn't realize that. Perhaps she thought the Demoncrats had so devastated the state that even the Leftist goof-balls who live there would want a change. Obviously, she was wrong.

Then there's NY, the other Left Coast. Last night, NY'ers did what they always do. They voted for anybody that was a Leftist Demoncrat, and around here, there's not much else to choose from. Andrew (my daddy got me this job too) Cuomo was elected governor. He's the kid who was (thanks to daddy) appointed head of HUD under Bubba Clinton, and totally screwed-up that whole agency. His daddy then arranged for him to marry one of the Kennedy girls, which turned out to be yet another failure. His dad is Mario Cuomo, former NYS governor, devoted socialist, anti-death penalty zealot, anti-gun zealot, and anti-anything that even resembles a conservative. NY'ers also elected a radical socialist Dem named Schniderman as their AG. That he's the target of (2) FBI investigations into a massive fraud case involving half the Dems in the NYS legislature apparently didn't bother them. He's a Leftist. He's a Dem. He's hired!

Thank God for the rest of the country...

Same here in Illinois. Both houses of the state legislature remain in the hands of the democrats and it looks like the governor’s mansion will stay with them as well unless the republican candidate can pick up about 9000 votes from the absentee ballots. I guess we'll continue to be a beacon of failure for the rest of the country.

Well, I'm finally smiling here in NC. They broke the back of the Dems.

We have a Republican controlled State Legislature. The first one in over 100 years! The last time the GOP ran things here was 1898. Needless to say, things are "tax and spendish" here, and they raised to corporate tax rates enough over the last few years, so that many companies left.

That's always a good thing for job growth right? Fewer employers?

But the local lib morons got whipped good last night.

Tea Party folks and Independents now need to keep their eyes on the Republicans to see if they go back to their weak and gutless ways. The American people want their country back and yesterday they took the first giant step. If the Repubs think compromising with the Demoncrats is going to get the country back on track, they're dead wrong and they need to get fired too.

Personally, i would not let Mitch McConnell and John Boener (sp) stay in leadership positions. They've been around too long and have acquired all the bad habits that make DC the corrupt swamp that it is, not to mention the fact that they're both gutless. They should put a couple of young, "aggressive" Repubs in charge. (Rubio, Bachmann, Paul, etc.)

For the first time since the Dems took control of congress and the WH, they're now talking about "compromise", which to them means, do as we say, not as we do. We'll see if the Repubs have finally found some backbone.

Now, on to the next exorcism- the white House

Spides,
I'm thinking the Tea Party folks are going to be a self-run caucus INSIDE the Republican side. And I think they KNOW not to start siding with the Old Guard.

Plus they RAN on not going that way. I don't know if anyone of them, or their staff drones, have THOUGHT to create a YouTube Tea Party Caucus Channel, but it would be THE surest way to keep in touch. 'cause I'm not expecting Katie Cutiepie, Brian "The Jaw" Williams or PMSNBC to suddenly start giving them effective air time to get in touch with the folks 'back home'.

More on NY's new AG. This guy would make Hugo Chavez proud.

NY Post, 11/4/10;
Attorney General-elect Eric Schneiderman promises to run a turbo-charged "activist law office to enforce civil rights and advance social justice."

The proudly liberal Manhattan state senator and attorney said he will use his office to root out discrimination -- punishing gay bashing and promoting "marriage equality", and prosecuting wage inequality against women in the workplace.

Schneiderman -- who received staunch backing from labor unions -- said he would zealously prosecute employers who stiff workers out of wages or violate safety laws.

In a bow to civil libertarians, the Democrat said he would create an "innocence unit" to probe wrongful convictions.
