Four More Years?

Yes, there are a whole lot of folks who would just love four more years with the Muslim-in-Chief in the WH. Apparently, they believe there are still a few things left that he has yet to give them. Personally, i can't think of anything they don't already have, but i'm sure they can.

BTW, who pays your phone bill? Or, perhaps i should ask, who's phone bill do you pay?

This program goes back as far as Ronald Reagan, it's not new and it wasn't started by Obama.

I just saw a California Pistachio Nut commercial, with The Village People, singing to the tune of their hit YMCA, butt they were singing,
.
.

"We like that C-R-A-CK,
we like that C-R-A-CK...",
.
.
Doesn't it go without saying that The Village People like crack!

Cell phones in Reagans time? Snopes is not always as correct as you seem to think it is.

You get in your Delorean and fly into the future when cell phones exist and then fly into the past and give them away.

Anon,
that wasn't the only place I looked, did you find something different? Or the opposite? Or are you disagreeing? Or are you just dis-ageeable?

I'm open to different info, but all you did was disparage Snopes and my use of same.

I think he is saying that people didn't have cell phones from 1980-88. So how could Reagan have a free cell phones for vote scam?

The program was originally for land lines, because the poor / indigent couldn't make a call for important stuff like SSA, or 911, or Dominos!

See, here's my problem, right-wing oriented BS, lies, and propaganda, is still just BS, lies, and propaganda. If we lie because they lie, how does that separate us from the MSM idgets we complain about all the time?

Since the topic was cell phone not land line giveaways, you should have been more specific.

The land lines were really a matter of saftey. Getting 46 cell phones each week is not quite the same program.

This is makes a prime example out of how a potentially "good" program gets warped into an entitlement program.

Whoever started it, which happens to have been Reagan, still created a tax on the haves, in order to "give" something to the have nots. I can agree that having a land line phone for "emergencies" seems like a good idea. I would be interested in seeing of the 2 million (yes I pulled the number out of my 4th point of contact) land lines that were given, how many actually resulted in a life being saved.

but now, it has grown into cell phones being given away as well, because so many people dont' have land lines......wait, wasn't that the problem to begin with?

If "they" are out and about, I am fairly certain that there will be plenty of other people who will probably have cell phones in the vicinity.....now, if the argument is "what if they are on vacation and have an emergency?" well, my answer is, how could they afford to go on vacation (unless they are from CA) and not be able to afford a cell phone.

My opinion: the program was initiated to provide an emergency service, now it has grown to become a luxury entitlement program. which is WRONG.

These cell phones are not for emergencies, as the original landline program was intended. They're simply meant to buy and keep votes, just like every other growing handout program.
