Zero Tolerance = Zero Brains Used

Probably THE biggest story going right now is the backlash AT guns and gun owners, after the shootings at Newtown.  But even before that we had many schools who had a system of Zero Tolerance for guns.  And in the world of Zero Tolerance we have schools sending Kindergarten kids home for a WEEK for drawing a gun.  I was looking for a story about a 5th grade girls who had a piece of notebook paper, torn, but not intentionally shaped like a gun.  I wanted to quote the story correctly, so I searched for the story, in my search engine of choice..

But when I searched, I put in the following, "suspended   shaped like gun", I didn't get that article.  I got 4 or 5 articles where that was the case.  The paper gun girl in Philly, a boy 'bit' his PopTart into a 'gun' in Baltimore, a 1st grader was suspend for making the 'gun' symbol with his fingers, a HS boy in AZ was suspended for choosing a gun as the background on his school issued laptop.

And now, as if those items aren't stupid and short sighted enough, a young man in FL has been suspended, not for HAVING a gun, drawing a gun or for 'chewing' a gun, he's been suspended for taking a gun away from another boy who was threatening to SHOOT a third boy!
.
A 16-year-old Cypress Lake High School student, who wrestled a loaded revolver away from a teen threatening to shoot, is being punished.

The student says he wrestled the .22 caliber RG-14 Revolver away from the suspect, a football player, who witnesses say threatened to shoot a teammate because he had been arguing with his friend.
"No doubt," the student said, "he was going to shoot him point blank."
That's when the student we spoke with says he and two others tackled the teen and wrestled away the gun.

The next day the school slapped him with a three day suspension.
"
It's dumb," he said. "How they going to suspend me for doing the right thing?"

According to the referral, he was suspended for being part of an "incident" where a weapon was present and given an "emergency suspension."
.
It is to date, both the dumbest move and a typical full circle of Liberal thinking.  Oh we've heard for years that the Left believes pacifism is the best way.  But now, not only are they wanting us weak in the World's eyes, they want us to ALL roll over and take whatever may be dealt out.  This is a furthering of their old teaching to women who were being assaulted, to "...just lay still, it will be over, and you can go on with your life".

Now their idiot ideas go all the way to standing back and allowing other people to be harmed.  Which is an odd way to think for people who think the U.S. military is supposed to be used for protecting foreign countries and for rebuilding them!

But here at home, we're supposed to stand back and watch while men with guns threaten and shoot unarmed, helpless people.  Well, here's one group of boys who never gave that kind of idiot attitude not a single thought.  I don't know about anyone other than myself, but I'll be sending a nasty gram, via e-mail, to the jerks at Cypress Lake High School and all the goofs for whom they work.

And thank God these boys were there.

(FoxNews.com) A 7-year-old Maryland boy was suspended from school for two days for shaping a breakfast pastry into what his teacher thought looked like a gun, according to his father.

FoxBaltimore.com reports that Josh Welch, a second-grader at Park Elementary School in Baltimore, was eating a strawberry tart when he decided to shape it into a mountain.

"All I was trying to do was turn it into a mountain but, it didn't look like a mountain really and it turned out to be a gun [kind of]," Josh told the station.

Josh, who suffers from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, said his teacher was visibly mad when she saw that the pastry looked like a gun, according to the report.

The boy's dad, who was not identified in the report, was later notified that Josh had been suspended for two days for fashioning the pastry into a gun.

A letter was sent home with students explaining that "a student used food to make an inappropriate gesture," the station reported.

School officials declined to a request for comment from FoxBaltimore due to privacy issues..."

Anon,
if that was my kid, I'd teach him how to 'bite' a PopTart into the shape a hand, flipping the bird!

And they wonder why we have incidences like Newton, CT? The schools are breeding them.
