Why New Jersey is not Really in America

One should never expect Consitutional Liberties in the Porn Belts...

7 years in prison for legal firearms

The case of a New Jersey man who is serving seven years in prison for possessing two locked and unloaded handguns he purchased legally in Colorado is a perfect example of how a law-abiding citizen can unwittingly become a criminal due to vastly differing gun laws among the states, gun rights experts say.

I note the article lists the most draconian anti-gun states as New Jersey, California, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maryland, and New York. I would hazard a guess that Hawaii should be among the group.

I'll stay in Texas.

This is WHY anyone who owns guns should ditch then if they (unfortunately) need to live in places with crazy laws like NJ.

I wouldn't carry my CCH card with me into NJ, for fear of some stupid shit like this.

As bad as those places are, i can asure you that NYS, especially NYC, should be at the very top of that list. I wonder how many times the SCOTUS has to decide an issue before it sinks in. Maybe when people, like the guy in this story, start suing, the anti-gun nuts will back off. But don't "ever" count on them stopping.
