FINALLY, a reason worthy of moving back to CA

Calif. Trick-Or-Treaters Warned Of Pot-Laced Candy.

Trick-or-treaters in California have been warned to watch out for pot-laced candy this Halloween, the Los Angles Times reported Friday.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department issued the warning to parents in light of candy and snacks containing marijuana being confiscated from pot dispensaries.

The warning comes days before Californians vote on Proposition 19, a marijuana legalization measure.

.

If I thought I could go out dressed as an old hippie, (hell, I do anyway) and get some pot laced candy for myself, I might move back. But would it work? Going door to door, looking for dope hand outs...in March or July?
.
But, seriously, if YOU paid store prices for YOUR "Alice B. Toklas Brownies" at the High Street Dope & Munchies Emporium, would YOU give them out to a bunch of costumed, chanting, crumb snappers?!

Just another scare tactic being used by the opponents of Prop-19. They will not stop what's coming. Besides, if i lived in Mexifornia, the thing that would worry me the least would be my kid getting some weed instead of poison-laced candy. Mexifornia's political policies and bizarre population would be a lot higher on my list of things to worry about.

I made light of this some, but SERIOUSLY, is anyone going to pay HUNDREDS of dollars, for brownies or candy that has pot in it, to DRUG the neighborhood kids on Halloween?

Come the hell on!

Plus, and this is a big plus, there is NO evidence of ANYONE poisoning candy and giving it out to the general public.

It's an Urban Legend!! See Mr. Snopes for verification.

AND if Little Johnny gets the Alice B Toklas brownies, is he in fact POISONED? C'mon, Johnny's gonna eat all his candy, drink all the milk in the fridge, and sleep like a baby!!

That and he'll be doing yard work and generally helping that weird dude with the tie dyed t-shirt, and the 'odd' greenhouse, who gave out the brownies in the first DAMNED PLACE!!

You beat me to it Steve...urban legend. On the other hand, you could see it happening. How many times have "assisted living center" orderlies brought in "special" treats for the elderly inmates in order to make them feel better in their old age?

Do I think it would be wide spread, no. Possible, yes. Likly, no. Dang I hate it when there is no good answer.....oh, yes there is....avoid Kalifornia like der plague for lots of other reasons.

If I had trick or treat aged kids, "drug candy" would be the bottom of my list of reasons to avoid the place.
