Justice Sham

I promised myself i wasn't going to comment on the Sotomayer hearings because it would be a waste of time since we all know how it's going to turn out. But after watching for a while today, i couldn't resist.

The hearings are going along smoothly, like a well-rehearsed play. Oh, there were a couple of Republican senators making some noise and asking what appeared to be tough questions, but for the most part, she simply looked them straight in the eye, and lied with the full backing of the Demoncrats. Most of her responses were either evasive, or outright lies, even when asked to respond to her own statements! To have her sit there while her own quotes were being read to her, then listening to her respond by saying, no, i didn't say that, or, oh no senator, you don't understand what i meant", is (IMO) an outrageous insult to the American people, especially when you realize she will have a loud voice in shaping our lives for decades. If this woman is the "brilliant jurist" the Left claims she is, she does one hell of a good job hiding it!

The system for selecting Supreme Court justices is a total sham, just like the rest of our government. If the sitting president simply said to someone, hey you, put this robe on, you're now a Supreme Court Justice, that would at least be honest. But to put the country through this nonsense, while everyone already knows the outcome, is not only another waste of our tax money, but a national insult. Then again, the American people love good TV drama, especially when it's fake. And they're used to being insulted by their elected officials, so don't count on anything changing, any time soon...

It is a circus, filled with professional clowns, such as Al Franken. It was painful to watch his "not yet ready for prime-time" performance.

I just received this which I feel means we are under cyber attack:

I got it.

That's why I popped over - to see if all of you did.

We will have to draw straws to see who takes care of the 'problem'.

That straw you're holding, BOW, looks like a winner.

Looks like the Republicans just don't have what it takes to be a leader, or be in a leadership position of the country.

The most telling comment coming from a Leftist Lawyer who's thinking of legal proceedings cause she's lyin'....either now during the hearings or for the last 20 years.

rc
ps. how your issue isn't spreading.

Maureen Dowd says "It was a disgrace that W. appointed two white men to a court stocked with white men." I'm sure Clarence Thomas (appointed by H.) and Ruth Bader Ginsburg were surprised to hear that. W. TRIED TO APPOINT HARRIET MYERS which proves that the left are against women and minorities if they are conservative. Yep. It's a circus.

Bill, i haven't seen anything like that. Not yet anyway. And you may be right about us being under attack. Maybe the Obamunists have us marked for "removal". BTW, who is actually in charge of "this thing of ours", now that Annie is MIA?

P.S. Do any of you get a "security information" box that opens on your screen when commenting, asking whether you want to view secure and/or non-secure items on these pages?

Franken on the Judiciary Committee is a joke in itself.

The current crop of Repugnicans are worse. Don't forget that the powers that be at the CPAC Conference recently straw polled Mitt Romney as the likeliest best hope of winning and leading the party in 2012. Wait, didn't we just decide AGAINST him last year as a being good choice? And it doesn't matter who gets elected from the right, they act like a bunch of old women at a garden party. The don't want to be "mean" or hurt anyone's feelings when they have the majority. They always govern from a point of weakness. The simple jerks. They suck. 6 years of GWB and control of Congress shows they are USE LESS.

You can't change a tire on a moving vehicle.

I say, stop this current gub'ment of the fools, by the fools and for the fools, and redraw a line in the sand, return to the Constitution, stop paying American money to countries that hate us anyway, (fuck them)stop paying able bodied people who won't work, (let the mfers starve) stop paying farmers to NOT grow crops, (let 'em grow food and fuel worthy crops for alcohol) bring back morality, (arrest the next 'wardrobe malfuntionee or air humping hip-hopin' clown)bring back common sense and American freedom and values. (or let those who hate it so much here move to effing France)

Of course I'm not holding my breath.

OT,
Bill, forward that e-mail to all of us for whom you have an addx, we'll ALL send in an e-mail to the Blogger Gods. (BTW, where is the actual owner of dis blog)

Ahh Steve my friend. You're a dreamer. The country you discribe, and the people who built it are long dead. And in this case, the only way to raise the dead is with fire! To try and do it with votes only proves to those who rule us that we're still sheeple.

And all the while, it is simply yet another distraction from the REAL STORY.

Which is:

It has been ruled that the only people that have legal claim to demand Obama prove his citizenship are those in the US military, by several courts who threw out case after case of regular citizens demanding this information.

So, a man in the US military refused to follow his orders and be sent to Afghanistan until Obama proved that he was eligible to hold the office. You see, he has pledged to uphold the constitution, and to follow the orders of a usurper would be against that pledge.

So, what happens to the military individual? Court Marshal? Punishment? Imprisonment?

Nope.

His order to ship out to afghanistan was rescinded. Quietly. He no longer has the premise that he previously had to demand the proof, and the whole thing goes away, just as quietly.

Hannity is the only one I can see that reported on it in the MSM. He gave it a brief 10 second blurb on his show. No one else mentioned a thing.

What in the blue fuck is going on here?

"Empathy" is the standard by which the Court will now render its decisions; the law be damned!

Interesting point Goob, and one i wasn't aware of. So, the claim can only be made by a member of the military because of the pledge they take? What about other govt. employees who have to pledge to uphold the constitution? What about almost every law enforcement officer in the country who takes that same pledge? The fact that this military officer isn't going to see combat shouldn't change his claim, unless of course, they find him Vince Foster'd somewhere.

I must give the Obamunists credit for their handling of this issue. Rather than their usual vicious, rabid, go-for-blood counter-attack, they played it quietly, thereby removing (with the MSM's help of course) the story's appeal, leaving Obummer's true history a secret.
