Felons Voting Illegally May Have Put Franken Over the Top in Minnesota, Study Finds
.
The six-month election recount that turned former "Saturday Night Live" comedian Al Franken into a U.S. senator may have been decided by convicted felons who voted illegally in Minnesota's Twin Cities.

That's the finding of an 18-month study conducted by Minnesota Majority, a conservative watchdog group, which found that at least 341 convicted felons in largely Democratic Minneapolis-St. Paul voted illegally in the 2008 Senate race between Franken, a Democrat, and his Republican opponent, then-incumbent Sen. Norm Coleman.

The final recount vote in the race, determined six months after Election Day, showed Franken beat Coleman by 312 votes -- fewer votes than the number of felons whose illegal ballots were counted, according to Minnesota Majority's newly released study, which matched publicly available conviction lists with voting records.

Furthermore, the report charges that efforts to get state and federal authorities to act on its findings have been "stonewalled."

"We aren't trying to change the result of the last election. That legally can't be done," said Dan McGrath, Minnesota Majority's executive director. "We are just trying to make sure the integrity of the next election isn't compromised."

Cheating in a liberal states elections? Just business as usual? I'm opting for the latter.

QUOTABLE QUOTES
"Under fascism, citizens retain the responsibilities of owning property, without freedom to act and without any of the advantages of ownership. Under socialism, government officials acquire all the advantages of ownership, without any of the responsibilities, since they do not hold title to the property, but merely the right to use it—at least until the next purge. In either case, the government officials hold the economic, political and legal power of life or death over the citizens. Needless to say, under either system, the inequalities of income and standard of living are greater than anything possible under a free economy—and a man’s position is determined, not by his productive ability and achievement, but by political pull and force. Under both systems, sacrifice is invoked as a magic, omnipotent solution in any crisis—and “the public good” is the altar on which victims are immolated."

The only problem with this situation is that there is no way to tell how a felon voted.

As much as I think that big Al is an oxygen thief, I'm not sure there would have been any difference in this election.

Brother Poots has a point. Minnesota is a very liberal state and senator Frankanstien is the kind of ultra-leftist nitwit they'd vote for. But, having said that, i hope our buddy Alan doesn't think those felons voted for a Republican. You're kidding, right?

Of course they voted for Freaky. What else do they have to do but lie around and whack off while watching Stuart Smalley?

They is in luv.

of course not, the only time a felon would vote Republican is if the candidate was an extreme RINO. Maybe a felon in Blaine County Idaho, because very few dumbocrats ever get elected to anything in Idaho, except Blaine county.

The problem in Minnie's soda is that the election was so close, coupled with how many felons the DA was able to confirm had voted illegally, that I don't think it would make a difference. It would only cost the few decent people up there a lot of money.

QUOTABLE QUOTES:
"The word "racism" has absolutely no meaning in our society any longer. If you stick your bumper into a crosswalk while a black person is crossing the street you're a racist. Take the last donut from the tray while there's a black person standing behind you and you're a racist. These charges of racism are becoming a theatre of the absurd. The word "racism" is now more of a punch line than anything else."
