Advertisers on the run, from Glenn Beck.

.
Glenn Beck returns to Fox News Channel after a vacation on Monday with fewer companies willing to advertise on his show than when he left, part of the fallout from calling President Barack Obama a racist.

A total of 33 Fox advertisers, including Walmart, CVS Caremark, Clorox and Sprint, directed that their commercials not air on Beck's show, according to the companies and ColorofChange.org, a group that promotes political action among blacks and launched a campaign to get advertisers to abandon him. That's more than a dozen more than were identified a week ago.
.
I especially liked this line.
.
The Clorox Co., a former Beck advertiser, now says that "we do not want to be associated with inflammatory speech used by either liberal or conservative talk show hosts." The maker of bleach and household cleaners said in a statement that is has decided not to advertise on political talk shows.
.
Don't you just love it when American Corporations stand up and protect the sanctity of the POTUS. I mean seriously, remember when Kanye West said GWB hated black people? Remember all the companies that jumped ship then? Or how about all the advertisers that left when Keith Olberman gave his "orgasmic" journalistic attention to Obama? Oh the number of advertisers that left almost sent Ted Turner to the poor house. Obama wasn't in office yet, but those advertisers were watching, they stood up to be counted, and they rallied to keep holy the office itself.
.
I'll stop now, I'm turning my own stomach, pointing out the hypocritical arrogance of the left.

Less commercials on Fox? That's good news! But they show so many that even if they cut them in half it would be hard to tell.

I will admit that i now watch Beck regularly, thanks to Lady-Bug. Yes, his style still annoys me, but there's so much in what he says that i don't mind it too much. In fact, if he keeps this up, he may out-do "Mr. Ego"! (Limbaugh) If Beck's ratings ($$$) are what he says they are, then like Limbaugh and Dobbs, his bosses wouldn't dare touch him.

...and he's on TV, so the fairness doctrine wouldn't go there...

"Grammie" or whatever name he wants to call me!! said...

Wow. I didn't realize I had that much influence!

See how easy you could talk me into something? ;)

You never asked what kind of influence you had over us, that's all. I got several e-mails from guys who were influenced by you in a t-shirt, mask and snorkel.

I won't say what they were influenced to do.

I like Beck, he's got a snide, boyish eff'em in the ear quality that appeals to my own similar side.

Glenn Beck's FOX News addx is as follows:

Glenn Beck
C/O
FOX News
1211 Avenue Of The Americas
New York, NY 10036

Who knows of he'll wear it, if you send it? I gar-on-tee, he won't look as fetching as our own smart looking, world traveling, island hopping, stroke's ass kicking, masked marvel, C-Bug, in his camo Annie's t-shirt.

OOOH, I'm all influenced again, and it's way early for that sort of thing.

He won't wear it because he wouldn't know what it stands for, unless Bill sends him a letter explaining who and what we are. Hey, then he may really not want to wear it!
