Heinrich Himmler Would Be Proud

Yes, it's something the WWII Nazi SS chief would've done. This story might be enough to make some people stop commenting on blogs. It may also be a wake-up call for those who think we still live in a free country. Unlike places like Iran and N. Korea, which simply shut down access to communications systems (like the Internet, e-mail, or twitter/tweeter/twatter, or whatever they call that nonsense) which allow people to talk about things the government doesn't like, here it seems, the govt. will simply prosecute you for discussing things "they deem" unacceptable. And, believe it or not, GWB and Dick Cheney have nothing to do with it! I wonder what the Founding fathers would have said about this dangerous and deadly threat to free speech...

Don't kid yourself Blue, the fine folks at "Blogger" would give us up so quickly...

Maybe Annie is sitting in jail for not turning us all over to the feds.

And the not-so fine folks at google would give us up even faster.

I'm pretty sure I have an idea what the Founding Fathers would say, but my poor education would not allow me to speak as eloquently and precisely, nor do I think anyone here, with one notable exception, would disagree.

i do think what Blue alluded to is the very reason why our esteemed colleague has purposely distanced herself from our group.

However, if it gets to the point where we are deemed so truly dangerous for our thoughts in support of what America once was and what it is now becoming, must be censored, or dealt with as "dangerous", then I'm afraid it doesn't matter who knows my identity. It won't matter any more. And that time is just about at hand.

Bill, did i miss something? Are you saying she was under pressure to roll us over?

I don't think she has received any such pressure, yet. But she is quite bright and by remaining uninvolved there is no knowledge of our patriotic discussions from day to day. Our Founding Fathers must be spinning faster than a neutron star.

Hmmm...in an interesting premise Billy O. But her distancing herself from the site by her personal inaction, doesn't absolve her of ownership. She knows, and it could be easily proved what / when, exactlty what kind of content is and has always populated the two blogs. She's posted and commented many times before she backed away.

If you own an old house in a bad neighborhood, and when you collect the rent, the rent gets paid in small denomination bills, by a guy who looks like a crack addict and the house has crack vials all over the yard, and druggies sleeping on the porch, in the hall, etc, you can't "claim" to NOT know it's a crack house. In our case, Annie / Kim has a few opinion crack vials on her home computer table.

I believe the legal term is "Plausible Deniability" when situations like this occur.

Annie / Kim won't have it. However, she is heavily armed, and I suggest we follow suit if we see fit.

I really don't see Annie as being the kind of person to run and hide, unless of course, you assume she's been putting us on all along about being a lover of, and fighter for, freedom.

Then again, she has quietly disappeared. I just hope her absence is not due to some medical problem. Whatever the reason, we miss ya darlin.

I gotta ??? Whatever happened to "Chuck"? He was here after Mom left the kids to their own devices, but he's absent now too.

CHUCK!!! OH, CHUUuuuCCCK!!

Can you tell us if Annie, Dear Annie is o'tay? Obviously her GPS coordinates are not our business, but a report on health and welfare are of interest.

C'mon Chuck, WTF!!

Well, Poots is back so we know she didn't run off with him. And if she did, it sure didn't last very long.
