World leaders denounce Honduras coup

....world leaders from Barack Obama to Hugo Chavez demanded the return of a president ousted in a military coup.

Maobama & Hugo agree on this?? Of course they do.... since Zelaya was trying to make himself a dictator.

"We respect everybody and we ask only that they respect us and leave us in peace because the country is headed toward free and transparent general elections in November," Micheletti told HRN radio.

He insisted Zelaya's ouster was legal and accused the former president himself of violating the constitution by sponsoring a referendum that was outlawed by the Supreme Court. Many saw the foiled vote as a step toward eliminating barriers to his re-election, as other Latin American leaders have done in recent years.

Some expressed relief at the departure of Zelaya, who alienated the courts, Congress, the military and even his own party in his tumultuous three years in power.

Hmmm... I wonder if that will sound familiar to us in 3 years. I know this already does:

But Zelaya retains the loyalty of many of Honduras' poor, for having raised the minimum wage and blaming the country's problems on the rich — despite the considerable wealth he enjoys...

And yet there are people who still refuse to believe that Yobama is a Marxist. Simply compare his policies to those of his new-found friends. I'd bet even they're amazed at how he's getting away with doing so much, so fast. In fact, Chavez actually said that.

WORD OF THE DAY
COUP, n.

What Libertards and other outraged leftists call it when rational, conservative adults kick out a power grabbing, authority exceeding, neo-Marxist president. When Marxists kick out a law-abiding, straight-shooting conservative, lefties call it ‘democracy’.

I understand Chavez, but you would think that the President of the United States, a country BORN OF REBELLION, would easily see the people's right to throw off an unpopular leader or gub'ment.

BOHICA has got to go.

I say we follow the Honduran lead. Soon.

I got this from a missionary friend, and am sending it out because I wanted to help spread the "REAL" news. Please contact your Senators and show your support. If the United States is going to play "police" to other countries, the president should at least get the facts and support "the good guys" and not "the bad"!! This is a very worrisome situation!!! This is a little long but PLEASE read it!!

Please read the following articles from very respected organizations THE HERITAGE FOUNDATION, FORBES, AND THE WALL STREET JOURNAL. by clicking on the links:

It is very vital and important that you and our government understand that HONDURAS did not have a military coup last Sunday the 28th of June.
It was the fulfillment of a court ordered arrest of the President for violating the Constitution of the Nation of Honduras.
It was the EXEMPLARY demonstration to her citizens and to the entire world, that no one, not even the President is above the law.
What I want to explain is why this was not a military coup.
1. No blood was shed.
2. It was a court ordered arrest.
3. The Congress continues as it was freely elected and operated before these events.
4. The Court system continues as it should Constitutionally and operated before these events.
5. The President was sworn in as directed in the Constitution.
6. The military were never in charge, but acted according to their orders from the Supreme Court, Attorney General, and Congress.
7. The great majority of the People of the country of Honduras support the actions taken.
8. Democratic and Constitutional order in Honduras was not broken. Every step that was taken was according to law and the Constitution.
9. The actions taken were to protect democracy and freedom in Honduras from power grabs and dictatorship,.

Why do you care?

For the sake of the freedom of a democratic nation, for the sake of the Gospel, I beg you to contact your Senators, Representatives, the White House, and media outlets
And let them know that this was not a military coup.

It is a Constitutional government.

Honduras cannot stand up to an attack by Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua. If this country falls into the hands of Zelaya, Ortega, Castro, and Chavez, the free preaching of the Gospel will not be allowed. Freedom of Speech will not be allowed. Freedom of Press will not be allowed. These are things that those men have already removed in their countries.

The people of Honduras DO NOT WANT SOCIALISM, COMMUNISM, AUTHORITARIANISM.

Obviously, the question is, why are we only hearing about this here? I haven't heard one word of this mentioned in the media, including Fox.

A friend who works in a cubicle down the hallway is from Honduras. He went back and reread their Constitution after the ouster. He said the Constitution explicitly provides for the arrest of anyone trying to modify the Constitution to allow more than one term as the president. The courts and military are only doing what the Constitution directs them to do! Everyone else should just butt out and leave them alone..
