You know, sometimes accidents happen, and there really isn't anything that you need to DO aabout it other than fire the malfeasant bastards that were text-messaging instead of paying attention to the trains that were under their responsibility.
Not only that, but it makes me laugh to think that anyone feels like having the gubmint oversee the trains will somehow make them safer - it is to laugh.
les efficient? More expensive? So expensive that they are no longer competitive so that the gobmint starts to subsidize them to keep them in business?
