Female Police Officer Credited With Stopping Fort Hood Massacre, Hailed a Hero

How does a person, any person, shoot approx. 43 people on an army base? Does the Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon ring a bell? Why did it take a civilian officer, and a cute female one at that, to shoot the terrorist? Does New Life Church in Colorado ring a bell? Were there no MP's around, male or female?

Munley and her partner responded within three minutes of reports of gunfire on Thursday, Lt. Gen. Bob Cone said Friday. "It was an amazing and an aggressive performance by this police officer," Cone said.

It was amazing and aggressive but 3 minutes AFTER reports of gunfire? Come on guys!

C-Bug,
I think they mean they arrived at the scene.

It's the big news story of the day here. Not Hasan, Munley. She's FROM NC. But she was smart enough to leave.

She's not much of a shot though. She left him breathing.

I would think that very few military personal on that base go around armed. (else they wouldn't need civilian police) As for MP's who are always armed, they're usually posted at entrance and exits. But 3 minutes to respond to gunfire on a military base is a long time, even though it's a massive complex. You can bet your life that "changes" in procedures will be made!

But, the young officer did a fine job. Four hits on the Mooselamb while under fire and after being hit? Outstanding!! Unfortunately, she was probably armed with a .9mm which is why he's still alive. Had she used a .45, the aclu wouldn't need to get their lawyers ready to defend the towelhead.

The numbers are now 51 people.

When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

anon,
that bumper sticker was selling like hot cakes at the last gun show I went to. We got there around noon, and we missed getting one, they sold out as we were leaving.

One guy told us, he'd sold 1500, JUST from his booth. I bet they sold 4000 or 5000.

Someone smart should have copyrighted that.
