The Arctic seems to be warming up. Reports from fishermen, seal hunters, and explorers who sail the seas about Spitzbergen and the eastern Arctic, all point to a radical change in climatic conditions, and hitherto unheard-of high temperatures in that part of the earth's
surface.

The story is in the first column, about half way down. It includes such facts as, not enough ice, to few glaciers, too many herring, not enough white fish, dogs and cats living together, Al Gore wasn't born for another 15 1/2 years, it was shear madness I guess.

Uh oh. I just put my bags back in the closet! Laying around on the boat, with a tall Southern Comfort, wearing a down jacket and gloves just doesn't do it for me. Besides, who wants to lay next to a good looking woman wearing a coat?
As for the article. Back then, you can understand them not knowing much about the cyclical (and natural) changes in the earths temps. But today, there's no excuse, other than political motivation.
So the global warming in 1922 must have been caused by the huge amounts of CO2 produced by all the planes, trains, and automobiles!
and.... We were just looking at a Feb. cruise leaving out of Miami. Wondering if global warming will take back over by then?
I'm surprised the NONE of the weather hand wringers could find that article or made anything of it!!
