Stupid Anologies and Stupider Politicians

.
In an article titled, "Senate Can Pass Health With 51 Votes, Van Hollen Says", there is a very poignant quote.
.
The quote comes from Chris Van Hollen who is chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. The topic is passing the Obamacare plan, if [when] Scott Brown wins Teddy the Swimmers seat in the Senate.

So we have the topic, Obamacare, the crux, Ted's seat possibly being taken by a Republican. You know Republicans, those guys everyone knows ruined the economy.
.
Here's what this dim whit says about Brown getting the power in the Senate to break the super majority.
.
Van Hollen said Republican predictions that the political climate had changed so much that they can capture the 40 seats needed to regain control of the House was “pure hallucination.”

“Why would you hand the keys to the car back to the same guys whose policies drove the economy into the ditch and then walked away from the scene of the accident?”

.
Would you EVER use a car wreck analogy with Ted Kennedy in the set up of the situation!? How stupid and insensitive is this clown?!

Was he standing on a bridge when he said this?

He was fishing along the Chappaquiddick River and as luck would have it, he caught a 1967 Old 88!!

This is the dumbest thing said in a while, IMHO.

Hey, is that a new heading at the top of the home page? (three guys just shooting the shit) Are we no longer Annies Inferno? And if we still are, why? Shouldn't we be Annies Orphans?

It bugs the total crap out of me to hear that it is "Teddy's seat"!!!

The demoncrat AG thinks it is his, his son Patrick sends out emails saying things like "save my father's seat"...

This is total crap!!!

That seat belongs to the PEOPLE of MASStupidity - that they were ignorant enough to send that drunk-ass ratbastard back to DC for so damn long knowing what a piece of shit he was still does not make it "Teddy's Seat".

And I like the "guys shooting the shit" deal, though maybe it should be "3 guys and a couple of gals shooting the shit".

...over 24 hours before anyone noticed the name change...and it was one of the three guys...

HJR, hi you should come around more often, we need, IMHO, more pithy comments

I said I was going to do it, just think, if I HAD left totally, it would be 2 guys...it's fixed in about two minutes, it's 17:21 EDT

And I agree, it IS the peoples seat, but that kinda gets lost on people who've seen "X" politician in a seat for 30 years.

"Grammie" or whatever name he wants to call me!! said...

Van Hollen doesn't have anything to do with, or any say so, the Senate.

CdashBug,
I agree he has no power. But his "car wreck" analogy shows the true depth of knowledge of history and the lack of feeling for peoples emotions the big shot Dems have. You can't tell me that Van Goofball's statement isn't hurtful to BOTH the Kennedy AND Kopechne families. It's a stupid senseless statement at best.

And that, of course, leaves out the veracity of his blatherings.

What name change? I don't see no name change.

Bill, on Sat I changed the banner to a stupid name, in an attempt to get people yelling. Only Spider noticed. (or came in here to notice) When he saw it, I changed it back.

Not that I'm blowing my own horn, but Limbaugh mentioned this today. His take was the same as mine. The Dems ignore or don't know history, and they are heartless at best.

Actually, i thought it was nicer than Annies Inferno.

OT........COMPLETELY.......OT

I think that a name change is far from out of question. I had actually hoped for, pined for, a scathing note from "Mom" about painting dirty pictures on the barn door. Having said that, if "WE are IT", whoever we is, do we wanna call it something else? And if so...what? I was joking with my "TG,STS", name. But given the posters and commenters of late, it seemed appropo.
